The Li3MX6 compounds (M=Sc, Y, In; X=Cl, Br) are known as promising ionic conductors due to their compatibility with typical metal oxide cathode materials. In this study, we have successfully synthesized γ-Li3ScCl6 using high pressure for the first time in this family. Structural analysis revealed that the high-pressure polymorph crystallizes in the polar and chiral space group P63mc with hexagonal close-packing (hcp) of anions, unlike the ambient-pressure α-Li3ScCl6 and its spinel analog with cubic closed packing (ccp) of anions. Investigation of the known Li3MX6 family further revealed that the cation/anion radius ratio, rM/rX, is the factor that determines which anion sublattice is formed and that in γ-Li3ScCl6, the difference in compressibility between Sc and Cl exceeds the ccp rM/rX threshold under pressure, enabling the ccp-to-hcp conversion. Electrochemical tests of γ-Li3ScCl6 demonstrate improved electrochemical reduction stability. These findings open up new avenues and design principles for lithium solid electrolytes, enabling routes for materials exploration and tuning electrochemical stability without compositional changes or the use of coatings.  相似文献

Chitin from squid pen was effectively degraded by the chitinase from Bacillus sp. PI-7S, while the degradation of chitin with lysozyme proceeded very slowly. Among the various vital components studied, the degradation of chitin from squid pen was performed not by canine serum, canine tela subcutanea, canine tela liver, and equine serum but by bovine serum and caprine serum. Noteworthy is the fact that chitin sponge subcutaneously implanted in dog reported not to have chitinase was degraded in ca. 14 days.  相似文献

We investigate a miniaturized X-ray source using an ultraviolet (UV) laser and a pyroelectric crystal and discuss potential applications in medicine. The UV laser is the fourth harmonic of a Nd:YAG laser with a wavelength of 266 nm, repetition rate of 10 Hz, and pulse energy of 40 mJ. The pyroelectric crystal is a LiNbO3 cylinder of diameter 10 mm and length 6 mm. The prototype X-ray source we fabricated is an aluminum parallelepiped of dimensions 3 × 3 × 5 cm. The X-ray count rate of the X-ray source is maximized at approximately 1,400 cps for UV laser irradiation of approximately 5 min. After 30 min of irradiation by the UV laser, the temperature of the pyroelectric crystal rose from 295 K to 312 K. The principles of X-ray generation ensure that X-ray sources using UV lasers and pyroelectric crystals offer ample opportunity for miniaturization. We believe the X-ray source developed in this work is suitable for medical applications, although further study is needed to address points such as increasing the X-ray count rate and adjusting the temperature of the pyroelectric crystal.  相似文献

Monodisperse poly(D ,L ‐lactide) (PDLLA) microspheres have been prepared by dispersion polymerization of D ,L ‐lactide with a synthetic polymeric stabilizer. The polymerization is carried out in xylene/heptane (1:2, v/v) at 368 K for 3 h with poly[(dodecyl methacrylate)‐co‐(2‐hydroxyethyl methacrylate)] (P(DMA‐co‐HEMA)). P(DMA‐co‐HEMA) has hydroxy groups as an initiation group for pseudoanionic dispersion polymerization. The particle diameter and the coefficient of variation concerning the diameter distribution of the obtained PDLLA microspheres are 3.9 µm and 4.3%, respectively. In addition, from the results of dynamic light scattering measurements, it is found that P(DMA‐co‐HEMA) and the PDLLA‐grafted copolymer form a micellar structure in solution.

Well‐defined diblock copolymers composed of poly(N‐octylbenzamide) and polystyrene were synthesized by reversible addition‐fragmentation chain transfer (RAFT) polymerization of styrene with a polyamide chain transfer agent (CTA) prepared via chain‐growth condensation polymerization. Synthesis of a dithioester‐type macro‐CTA possessing the polyamide segment as an activating group was unsatisfactory due to side reactions and incomplete introduction of the benzyl dithiocarbonyl unit. On the other hand, a dithiobenzoate‐CTA containing poly(N‐octylbenzamide) as a radical leaving group was easily synthesized, and the RAFT polymerization of styrene with this CTA afforded poly(N‐octylbenzamide)‐block‐polystyrene with controlled molecular weight and narrow polydispersity.

To examine whether catalyst-transfer polycondensation, which affords well-defined polythiophenes, has generality for other conjugated polymers, the synthesis of poly(p-phenylene) (PPP) with various Ni catalysts was investigated. Monomer 1, 1-bromo-4-chloromagnesio-2,5-dihexyloxybenzene, was polymerized with Ni(dppe)Cl2 in the presence of equimolar LiCl to give PPP with a narrow polydispersity. The number-average molecular weight (Mn) of PPP thus obtained increased in proportion to the conversion of 1, indicating that this polymerization also proceeded in a chain-growth polymerization manner. Furthermore, the molecular weight of PPP was controlled by the feed ratio of 1 to the Ni catalyst up to at least Mn = 30000.  相似文献

The dihydroxo(tetraphenylporphyrinato)antimony(V) complex (SbTPP) demonstrates bactericidal activity under visible-light irradiation. This phototoxic effect could be caused by photodamage to biomolecules, but the mechanism has not been well understood. In this study, to clarify the mechanism of phototoxicity by SbTPP, DNA damage photosensitized by SbTPP was examined using [(32)P]-5'-end-labeled DNA fragments. SbTPP induced markedly severe photodamage to single-stranded rather than to double-stranded DNA. Photo-irradiated SbTPP frequently caused DNA cleavage at the guanine residue of single-stranded DNA after Escherichia coli formamidopyrimidine-DNA glycosylase or piperidine treatment. HPLC measurement confirmed the formation of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-oxodG), an oxidation product of 2'-deoxyguanosine, and showed that the content of 8-oxodG in single-stranded DNA is larger than that in double-stranded DNA. The effects of scavengers of reactive oxygen species on DNA damage suggested the involvement of singlet oxygen. These results have shown that the mechanism via singlet oxygen formation mainly contributes to the phototoxicity of SbTPP. On the other hand, SbTPP induced DNA damage specifically at the underlined G of 5'-GG, 5'-GGG, and 5'-GGGG in double-stranded DNA. The sequence-specificity of DNA damage is quite similar to that induced by the type I photosensitizers, suggesting that photo-induced electron transfer slightly participates in the phototoxicity of SbTPP. In conclusion, SbTPP induces DNA photodamage via singlet oxygen formation and photo-induced electron transfer. A similar mechanism can damage other biomacromolecules, such as protein and the phospholipid membrane. The damage to biomacromolecules via these mechanisms may participate in the phototoxicity of SbTPP.  相似文献

New gemini surfactants having two fluorocarbon chains were prepared by refluxing partially fluorinated alkyl bromide with N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-1,6-diaminohexane in acetonitrile. The partially fluorinated gemini surfactants containing a six-methylene spacer chain are easily soluble in water. The critical micelle concentrations (cmc's) were determined by various fluorescent probe methods. The hydrophobicity of a CF2 group was estimated to be 1.5 times that of a CH2 group according to the cmc values. The micelle micropolarity of a fluorocarbon gemini sensed by pyrene fluorescence was unusually high, suggesting an apparent iceberg-like environment in the location of pyrene. The significantly small micelle aggregation numbers of fluorinated gemini surfactants were ascertained by the pyrene fluorescence quenching method. The micelle ionization degree estimated by fluorescence quenching of 6-methoxy-N-(3-sulfopropyl)quinolinium (SPQ) gave tendencies similar to those of the corresponding hydrocarbon geminis.  相似文献
