A diglycidylether sulfone monomer (sulfone type epoxy monomer, SEP) was prepared from bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) sulfone (SDOL) and epichlorohydrin without any NaOH or KOH as basic catalyst. FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectroscopic instruments were utilized to determine the structure of the SEP monomer. The cured SEP epoxy material exhibited not only a higher Tg (163.81 °C) but also a higher Tg than pristine DGEBA (from 111.25 °C to 139.17 °C) when the SEP monomer moiety had been introduced into the DGEBA system. The thermal stability of cured epoxy herein was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results demonstrated that the sulfone group of the cured SEP material decomposed at lower temperatures and formed thermally stable sulfate compounds, improving char yield and enhancing resistance against thermal oxidation. Additionally, the IPDT and char yield of the cured SEP epoxy (IPDT = 1455.75, char yield = 39.67%) exceeded those of conventional DGEBA epoxy (IPDT = 667.27, char yield = 16.25%).  相似文献

This review documents the advances in stimuli‐responsive water‐soluble fullerene (C60) polymeric systems. Stimuli‐responsive polymers, when grafted onto C60 impart “smart” and “responsive” characteristics, and these novel materials adopt various morphologies when subjected to external stimuli, such as pH, temperature, and salt. Various synthetic approaches for producing C60‐polymers are outlined and discussed. The responsive behavior, water solubility, and self‐assembly characteristics of these C60‐polymers make them attractive for applications such as drug delivery, temperature sensors, and personal care.  相似文献

The concept of using [2]rotaxanes that carry one or more surrogate stoppers which can subsequently be converted chemically into other structural units, resulting in the formation of new interlocked molecular compounds, is introduced and exemplified. Starting from simple NH2(+)-centered/crown-ether-based [2]rotaxanes, containing either one or two benzylic triphenylphosphonium stoppers, the well-known Wittig reaction has been employed to make, 1) other [2]rotaxanes, 2) higher order rotaxanes, 3) branched rotaxanes, and 4) molecular shuttles--all isolated as pure compounds, following catalytic hydrogenations of their carbon-carbon double bonds, obtained when aromatic aldehydes react with the ylides produced when the benzylic triphenylphosphonium derivatives are treated with strong base. The two starting [2]rotaxanes were characterized fully in solution and also in the solid state by X-ray crystallography. The new interlocked molecular compounds that result from carrying out post-assembly Wittig reactions on two [2]rotaxanes were characterized by (dynamic) 1H NMR spectroscopy. In the case of a molecular shuttle in which the crown ether component is dibenzo[24]-crown-8 (DB24C8), shuttling is slow on the 1H NMR timescale, even at high temperatures. However, when DB24C8 is replaced by benzometaphenylene[25]-crown-8 as the ring component in the molecular shuttle, the frequency of the shuttling is observed to be around 100 Hz in [D4]methanol at 63 degrees C.  相似文献

Fabrication of complex three-dimensional microchannel systems in PDMS   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper describes a method for fabricating three-dimensional (3D) microfluidic channel systems in poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS) with complex topologies and geometries that include a knot, a spiral channel, a "basketweave" of channels, a chaotic advective mixer, a system with "braided" channels, and a 3D grid of channels. Pseudo-3D channels, which are topologically equivalent to planar channels, are generated by bending corresponding planar channels in PDMS out of the plane into 3D shapes. True 3D channel systems are formed on the basis of the strategy of decomposing these complex networks into substructures that are planar or pseudo-3D. A methodology is developed that connects these planar and/or pseudo-3D structures to generate PDMS channel systems with the original 3D geometry. This technique of joining separate channel structures can also be used to create channel systems in PDMS over large areas by connecting features on different substrates. The channels can be used as templates to form 3D structures in other materials.  相似文献

In this study, separation and determination of nine preservatives ranging from hydrophilic to hydrophobic properties, which are commonly used as additives in various pharmaceutical and cosmetic products, by micellar electrokinetic chromatograpy (MEKC) and microemulsion electrokinetic chromatography (MEEKC) were compared. The effect of temperature, buffer pH, and concentration of surfactant on separation were examined. In MEKC, the separation resolution of preservatives improved markedly by changing the sodium dodecyl sulfate concentration. Temperature and pH of running buffers were used mainly to shorten the magnitude of separation time. However, in order to detect all preservatives in a single run in a MEEKC system, a microemulsion of higher pH was needed. The separation resolution was improved dramatically by changing temperature, and a higher concentration of SDS was necessary for maintaining a stable microemulsion solution, therefore the separation of the nine preservatives in MEEKC took longer than in MEKC. An optimum MEKC method for separation of the nine preservatives was obtained within 9.0 min with a running buffer of pH 9.0 containing 20 mM SDS at 25 degrees C. A separation with baseline resolution was also obtained within 16 min using a microemulsion of pH 9.5 which composed of SDS, 1-butanol, and octane, and a shorter capillary column at 34 degrees C. Finally, the developed MEKC and MEEKC methods determined successfully preservatives in various cosmetic and pharmaceutical products.  相似文献

A series of leflunomide (1a) analogues were examined for antiinflammatory activity using the carrageenan-induced paw edema assay. Some of the compounds were significantly more potent than leflunomide, particularly those with electron-donating or negative inductive groups situated in the phenyl rings. In contrast, all the nonsubstituted compounds or with further chain-extension in the 4-position of the rings led to a decrease in activity. The LD(50) values of the most active compounds (1d, g-j) in male ICR mice were significantly greater than those of either 1a or its active metabolite 2 and therefore merit further study.  相似文献

This paper demonstrates a method of using a pH meter to determine the micellar dissociation concentration (mdc) and the. critical micellar concentration (cmc) of eight bile salt samples: sodium cholate (NaC), sodium deoxycholate (NaDC), sodium glycocholate (NaGC), sodium glycodeoxycholate (NaGDC), sodium glyco-chenodeoxycholate (NaGCDC), sodium taurocholate (NaTC), sodium taurodeoxycholate (NaTDC) and sodium taurochenodeoxycholate (NaTCDC). The experiments were performed by diluting the bile salt solutions with freshly distilled water and following the pH changes with a hydrogen ion electrode at 25°C. One break appears in most of the pH-concentration plots of the bile salt solutions, signifying mdc. However, two breaks appear for NaC and NaDC samples, signifying mdc and cmc. The mdc and cmc values are in good agreement with values determined by surface tension and turbidity methods and with data reported in the literature. The method described in this paper is quick, simple and requiring no sample purification. It is the only method which can be used to determine mdc and cmc simultaneously.  相似文献

Rotaxane‐type (macro)molecules are important materials in various fields of research, with many approaches for their synthesis having been developed over the past 30 years or so. When prepared in solution, the efficiency of interlocking pseudorotaxane complexes into the corresponding rotaxanes relies, to a great extent, on the affinity between the host and guest components; these interactions are not always sufficiently strong to overcome the deleterious effects of high reaction temperatures, competitive solvents, and low concentrations. Upon evaporating the solvent, however, the concentrations of the host and guest species increase significantly and, ultimately, their corresponding pseudorotaxanes can be generated with high efficiency in the solvent‐free residue. Furthermore, in the absence of the solvent, the influence of any disrupting byproducts (generated during the interlocking process) on the complexation equilibrium can also be largely reduced. Therefore, high synthetic efficiency and low consumption of solvents and energy can be expected when synthesizing rotaxanes under solvent‐free conditions. This mini‐review covers the main publications dealing with the solvent‐free syntheses of rotaxanes – those in which the interlocking step involves no solvent (or only a trace of it).  相似文献

Environmentally sensitive polysaccharide nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by in situ polymerization of N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAAm) monomer in the presence of chitosan (CS) micelles. First, CS was found to develop a cationic micelle-like structure in the acetic acid solution when its concentration was increased to above the critical micelle concentration, as evidenced by fluorescence and TEM. When the NIPAAm was polymerized in the CS micelle solution by using potassium persulfate as initiator, the produced PNIPAAm with anionic chain end(s) became hydrophobic, as long as the reaction temperature was above its phase transition temperature; and therefore it would diffuse into the hydrophobic core of the CS micelles, producing CS-PNIPAAm core–shell NPs. Increasing the feeding amount of NIPAAm increased the monomer conversion and therefore the particle size; yet it decreased the surface zeta potential. Moreover, the CS-PNIPAAm NPs were sensitive to both pH value and temperature. For the study of drug release properties, doxycycline hyclate was used as a model drug and loaded into the NPs at pH 4.5 and 25 °C. The result illustrated that these NPs had a continuous drug release behavior up to 1 week, depending on the pH value and temperature. In addition, enzyme or hydrogen peroxide capable of degrading CS shell was added in the solution to facilitate the drug release.  相似文献
