Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) thermograms, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, electrical conductivity (σ), and 7Li NMR spectroscopy characterization of n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOM solids (M = Li, Na, K; m?=?13, 15, 17, 19, 21) and mixed crystals n-C21H43COOLi x K(1???x) (0.25?≤?x?≤?0.75) was performed as a function of temperature. DSC thermograms of n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOM revealed several solid-solid phase transitions with large entropy changes. Electrical conductivity studies established that n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOLi crystals are poor electrical conductors. In contrast, n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOK salts were found to have σ values of 10???7–10???8 S·cm???1. Since the crystal structures and phase-transition temperatures of both n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOLi and n-C m H(2m?+?1)COOK crystals were similar, they were able to form mixed crystals with the structure n-C x H(2m?+?1)COOLi x K(1???x). DSC thermograms of the mixed crystals showed a small entropy change at the melting point (ΔS mp?<?13 J K???1 mol???1), in addition, large ΔS values at the solid-solid phase transition temperature. The σ values obtained for mixed crystals were roughly one order of magnitude greater than those determined for n-C21H43COOK crystals. 7Li NMR spectra of the mixed crystals recorded at various temperatures suggested that the self-diffusion of Li?+? ions was excited in the highest-temperature solid phase. Based on these results, we have classified these mixed crystals as rotator crystals.  相似文献

Double charged pion photoproductions from the deuteron have been studied at Research Center for Electron Photon Science (ELPH), Tohoku University. Tagged photon beams in an energy range of 0.67 ≤ E γ ≤ 1.08 GeV were impinged on the liquid deuteron target. Produced charged particles were observed with the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer2 (NKS2). The γ dπ + π ? d process was clearly separated among the three charged tracks. We obtained the photon energy dependence of the normalized yields of this process.  相似文献

The unbound excited states of the most neutron-rich dripline oxygen isotope, 24O, have been investigated by using the 24O(p,p′)24O* reaction at the beam energy of 62 MeV/nucleon in inverse kinematics. The first and second unbound excited states of 24O have been observed at ${E_{\rm x}= 4.63_{-0.14}^{+0.30}}$  MeV and ${E_{\rm x}= 5.13_{-0.24}^{+0.19}}$  MeV (preliminary) along with the evidence for another higher lying state at around 7.3 MeV. The quadrupole deformation parameter ${\beta_{2^+}}$ was deduced to be ${0.15_{-0.03}^{+0.08}}$ (preliminary) for the first time. The systematics of the ${\beta_{2^+}}$ and the ${E_{\rm x}(2_1^+)}$ in the Z = 8 isotopes shows the N = 16 spherical shell closure in 24O.  相似文献

Photoproduction of the neutral kaon on the deuteron has been investigated at the Research Center for Electron Photon Science, Tohoku University. We constructed the Neutral Kaon Spectrometer-2 for the detection of charged particles from the decay of the neutral kaon and the hyperon. We obtained a momentum distribution of K 0 with the inclusive measurement. It was consistent with the previous measurement. The total cross section of γ + dK 0 + Λ + p was estimated from the measured integral cross section of γ + d → Λ + X. The total cross section with respect to the photon energy was compared with the theoretical calculations. It favored the Saclay-Lyon A model calculation with the ratio of the neutral to charged coupling constants of the axial-vector meson, K 1, as ~ ?1.5. The energy dependence and the magnitude of the total cross section were similar to the total cross section of γ + p → K + Λ.  相似文献

We are planning to perform an experiment at J-PARC and produce new neutron-rich Λ hypernuclei by using the (π ?, K +) reaction (J-PARC E10). As the first step, we are planning to produce ${^6_{\Lambda}{\rm H}}$ hypernuclei with a 6Li target. To conduct this experiment, we are developing new detectors, those are scintillating fiber tracker, and silicon strip detector, for high rate operation to aim at increasing beam intensity up to 107/spill. As a result of beam test in Jun 2012, we are going to use high-rate beam at least 107/spill.  相似文献

Storage and retrieval of a squeezed vacuum was successfully demonstrated using electromagnetically induced transparency. The squeezed vacuum pulse having a temporal width of 930 ns was incident on the laser cooled 87Rb atoms with an intense control light in a coherent state. When the squeezed vacuum pulse was slowed and spatially compressed in the cold atoms, the control light was switched off. After 3 mus of storage, the control light was switched on again, and the squeezed vacuum was retrieved, as was confirmed using the time-domain homodyne method.  相似文献

Interaction of highly charged ions (HCIs) with surfaces produce various specific phenomena as a consequence of the potential energy that HCI possesses. In the present study, we have observed photon emission, structural, magnetic, and electronic modification on various carbon-based materials such as carbon nanotube by the impact of HCIs using an electron beam ion source named Kobe EBIS installed at the Kobe University. In order to study the potential effect, HCIs of Arq+ (q = 6–16) with the intensity of 0.1–1 nA are projected on the surface with a constant kinetic energy (16 keV). For photon emission measurements, we observed spatial and spectral distribution of visible light emission from the surface during irradiation with HCIs. On the other hand, the structural modification of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) irradiated with HCIs has been analyzed using a transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectroscopy. Irradiation effects on the resistivity of single MWCNT supported on micrometer scale bridge pattern were also measured. We have also measured magnetic structure of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite irradiated with HCIs using electron spin resonance at low temperature. At the present paper, we will review our recent experimental results on the interaction of HCI with various carbon-based materials.  相似文献

The “topological polymer chemistry” of amphiphilic linear and cyclic block copolymers at an air/water interface was investigated. A cyclic copolymer and two linear copolymers (AB‐type diblock and ABA‐type triblock copolymers) synthesized from the same monomers were used in this study. Relatively stable monolayers of these three copolymers were observed to form at an air/water interface. Similar condensed‐phase temperature‐dependent behaviors were observed in surface pressure–area isotherms for these three monolayers. Molecular orientations at the air/water interface for the two linear block copolymers were similar to that of the cyclic block copolymer. Atomic force microscopic observations of transferred films for the three polymer types revealed the formation of monolayers with very similar morphologies at the mesoscopic scale at room temperature and constant compression speed. ABA‐type triblock linear copolymers adopted a fiber‐like surface morphology via two‐dimensional crystallization at low compression speeds. In contrast, the cyclic block copolymer formed a shapeless domain. Temperature‐controlled out‐of‐plane X‐ray diffraction (XRD) analysis of Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) films fabricated from both amphiphilic linear and cyclic block copolymers was performed to estimate the layer regularity at higher temperatures. Excellent heat‐resistant properties of organized molecular films created from the cyclic copolymer were confirmed. Both copolymer types showed clear diffraction peaks at room temperature, indicating the formation of highly ordered layer structures. However, the layer structures of the linear copolymers gradually disordered when heated. Conversely, the regularity of cyclic copolymer LB multilayers did not change with heating up to 50 °C. Higher‐order reflections (d002, d003) in the XRD patterns were also unchanged, indicative of a highly ordered structure. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part B: Polym. In this paper we study the family of embeddings Φt of a compact RCD?(K,N) space (X,d,m) into L2(X,m) via eigenmaps. Extending part of the classical results [10], [11] known for closed Riemannian manifolds, we prove convergence as t0 of the rescaled pull-back metrics Φt?gL2 in L2(X,m) induced by Φt. Moreover we discuss the behavior of Φt?gL2 with respect to measured Gromov-Hausdorff convergence and t. Applications include the quantitative Lp-convergence in the noncollapsed setting for all p<, a result new even for closed Riemannian manifolds and Alexandrov spaces.  相似文献
