Present communication reports the preparation of Langmuir monolayer of water-soluble anionic dye Congo red (CR) by allowing it to adsorb from the aqueous subphase onto the preformed Langmuir monolayer of anionic stearic acid using divalent metal cations Mg2+ as mediator. Isotherm and compressibility studies of SA-Mg-CR hybrid monolayer gave valuable information about the molecular organisation in the Langmuir monolayer. Absorption spectroscopic studies revealed the formation of H-aggregates in the hybrid Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) films fabricated at lower salt concentration in the subphase. Atomic Force Microscopic image gave visual evidence of distinct nanocrystalline domains in the LB monolayer film. 相似文献

The aim in our article is to introduce the notion of statistical convergence and statistically Cauchy sequences in intuitionistic fuzzy n-normed linear spaces. The paper shows that some properties of statistical convergence of real sequences also hold for sequences in this space. Characterization for statistically convergent and statistically Cauchy sequences is also given. This paper deals with recent developments of linear and nonlinear Rossby waves in an ocean. Included are also linear Poincaré, Rossby, and Kelvin waves in an ocean. The dispersion diagrams for Poincaré, Kelvin and Rossby waves are presented. Special attention is given to the nonlinear Rossby waves on a β-plane ocean. Based on the perturbation analysis, it is shown that the nonlinear evolution equation for the wave amplitude satisfies a modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The solution of this equation represents solitary waves in a dispersive medium. In other words, the envelope of the amplitude of the waves has a soliton structure and these envelope solitons propagate with the group velocity of the Rossby waves. Finally, a nonlinear analytical model is presented for long Rossby waves in a meridional channel with weak shear. A new nonlinear wave equation for the amplitude of large Rossby waves is derived in a region where fluid flows over the recirculation core. It is shown that the governing amplitude equations for the inner and outer zones are both KdV type, where weak nonlinearity is balanced by weak dispersion. In the inner zone, the nonlinear amplitude equation has a new term proportional to the 3/2 power of the difference between the wave amplitude and the critical amplitude, and this term occurs to account for a nonlinearity due to the flow over the vortex core. The solution of the amplitude equations with the linear shear flow represents the solitary waves. The present study deals with the lowest mode (n=1) analysis. A series of novel wurtzite cadmium sulphide (CdS) nanowires with uniform diameter were synthesized by using a rapid and simple solvothermal route. CdS nano structures with certain morphology could be selectively produced by only varying the concentration of poly ethylene glycol (PEG) as a surfactant in the reaction system with cadmium acetate, sulphur powder and ethelynediamine (EDA). We extensively studied UV-vis absorption spectra, photoluminescence spectra after confirming CdS nanowires with diameter 24-25 nm and length ranging up to several nano meters by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). Therefore we may definitely propose a new formation mechanism of CdS nanowires assisted by PEG with its illustrating optical properties. 相似文献

We have investigated the temperature dependent electrical resistivity, ρ(T), of Ag(100 nm)/Al(10 nm) bilayers grown on Si(111) and quartz substrates using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). Bilayers grown on Si exhibited an anomalous negative temperature coefficient of resistivity (TCR) in the temperature range of 140-165 K of the ρ(T) plot. However, at temperatures below and above this negative TCR region, ρ(T) exhibited a characteristic positive TCR of metallic alloys. No such resistive anomaly was observed for the bilayers grown on quartz substrates. The observed resistive anomaly could be qualitatively explained by assuming two parallel conduction channels, that is, one at the interface having high Si content and obeying the polaronic behavior at <165 K and another far away from the interface having almost no Si impurity and thus exhibiting pure metallic behavior down to 4 K. In addition, bilayers exhibited a sharp resistive transition at ∼6.5 K, indicating a possibility of a new Ag-Al alloy being a superconducting material. 相似文献

Ribonuclease A (RNase A) serves as a convenient model enzyme in the identification and development of inhibitors of proteins that are members of the ribonuclease superfamily. This is principally because the biological activity of these proteins, such as angiogenin, is linked to their catalytic ribonucleolytic activity. In an attempt to inhibit the biological activity of angiogenin, which involves new blood vessel formation, we employed different dinucleosides with varied non‐natural backbones. These compounds were synthesized by coupling aminonucleosides with dicarboxylic acids and amino‐ and carboxynucleosides with an amino acid. These molecules show competitive inhibition with inhibition constant (Ki) values of (59±3) and (155±5) μM for RNase A. The compounds were also found to inhibit angiogenin in a competitive fashion with corresponding Ki values in the micromolar range. The presence of an additional polar group attached to the backbone of dinucleosides was found to be responsible for the tight binding with both proteins. The specificity of different ribonucleolytic subsites were found to be altered because of the incorporation of a non‐natural backbone in between the two nucleosidic moieties. In spite of the replacement of the phosphate group by non‐natural linkers, these molecules were found to selectively interact with the ribonucleolytic site residues of angiogenin, whereas the cell binding site and nuclear translocation site residues remain unperturbed. Docked conformations of the synthesized compounds with RNase A and angiogenin suggest a binding preference for the thymine–adenine pair over the thymine–thymine pair. 相似文献
