The catalytic epoxidation of cyclohexene by iron(III) porphyrin complexes and H2O2 has been investigated in alcohol solvents to understand factors affecting the catalyst activity in protic solvents. The yields of cyclohexene oxide and the Fe(III/II) reduction potentials of iron porphyrin complexes were significantly affected by the protic solvents, and there was a close correlation between the product yields and the reduction potentials of the iron porphyrin catalysts. The role of alcohol solvents was proposed to control the electronic nature of iron porphyrin complexes that determines the catalyst activity in the epoxidation of olefins by H2O2. We have also demonstrated that an electron-deficient iron porphyrin complex can catalyze the epoxidation of olefins by H2O2 under conditions of limiting substrate with high conversion efficiency in a solvent mixture of CH3OH and CH2Cl2.  相似文献

We synthesized novel silicon-based alternating copolymers for tunable electroluminescent (EL) colors by Heck synthetic method. Their thermal, photophysical and electroluminescent properties were studied. Most of them exhibited a blue-green EL color at the operating voltage of lower than 12 V. Unusually, we observed the white EL color from a EL device based on SiPhPVK. From photophysical studies and the time-resolved PL spectroscopies, it might be attributed to the formation of stabilized excited state in SiPhPVK. Furthermore, in order to reduce the operating voltage of their LED with increasing the electron affinity of the main chain in silicon-based alternating copolymers, we synthesized the silicon-based copolymers containing electron transporting oxadiazole units in main chain. We also studied their photophysical and electroluminescent properties.  相似文献

Cellulose diacetate (CDA) plasticized with triacetine was blended by melting extrusion with two different kind of elastomeric core–shell impact modifiers: methyl methacrylate (MMA, shell) grafted onto styrene–butadiene–rubber (SBR, core) (MSBR) and MMA (shell) grafted onto butyl acrylate rubber (BAR, core) (MBAR). The different CDA/MSBR and CDA/MBAR blends were characterized by mechanical properties and morphological observation with various impact modifier contents. The highest impact strength was observed in the case of the blend with 5 wt% of MSBR and 3 wt% of MBAR, respectively. The tensile strength and Young’s modulus of CDA blends were decreased with increasing both MSBR and MBAR. According to SEM observation, MBAR was dispersed more effectively in CDA matrix than that of MSBR, thus indicating improved impact strength.  相似文献

Sol–gel spin-coating was used to grow zinc oxide (ZnO) thin films doped with 0–2.5 at.% B on quartz substrates. The structural, optical, and electrical properties of the thin films were investigated using field-emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), photoluminescence (PL), ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy, and van der Pauw Hall-effect measurements. All the thin films had deposited well onto the quartz substrates and exhibited granular morphology. The average crystallite size, lattice constants, residual stress, and lengths of the bonds in the crystal lattice of the thin films were calculated from the XRD data. The PL spectra showed near-band-edge (NBE) and deep-level emissions, and B doping varied the PL properties and increased the efficiency of the NBE emission. The optical transmittance spectra for the undoped ZnO and boron-doped zinc oxide (BZO) thin films show that the optical transmittance of the BZO thin films was significantly higher than that of the undoped ZnO thin films in the visible region of the spectra and that the absorption edge of the BZO thin films was blue-shifted. In addition, doping the ZnO thin films with B significantly varied the absorption coefficient, optical band gap, Urbach energy, refractive index, extinction coefficient, single-oscillator energy, dispersion energy, average oscillator strength, average oscillator wavelength, dielectric constant, and optical conductivity of the BZO thin films. The Hall-effect data suggested that B doping also improved the electrical properties such as the carrier concentration, mobility, and resistivity of the thin films.  相似文献

The formation of deprotonated forms of tetra(t-butyl)phthalocyanine ((H2 tButPc) and octa(pentoxy)-phthalocyanine (H2OAmPc) in the system acetonitrile-1,8-diazabicyclo[5.4.0]undec-7-ene (DBU) at 298 K was studied by the method of spectrophotometric titration. With increasing DBU concentration sequential formation occurs of both mono- and douby deprotonated forms. The introduction of pentoxy groups into the fused benzene rings leads to a significant decrease in the acidity of the tetrapyrrole macrocycle compared with the tert-butyl substitution. The interaction of douby deprotonated forms of the phthalocyanines with zinc diacetate leads to the formation of metal complexes, the chelation constant of the latter is shown to correlate with the acidity of NH-protons in the nucleus of the macrocycle. For the chelation of more acidic tetra(t-butyl)-phthalocyanine an equimolar concentrations of zinc diacetate is sufficient, while the less acidic octa(pentoxy)-phthalocyanine requires almost 6-fold excess.  相似文献

To address tremendous needs for developing efficiently heat dissipating materials with lightweights, a series of liquid crystalline epoxy resins (LCEs) are designed and synthesized as thermally conductive matrix. All prepared LCEs possess epoxies at the molecular side positions and cyanobiphenyl mesogenic end groups. Based on several experimental results such as differential scanning calorimetry, polarized optical microscopy, and X‐ray diffraction, it is found that the LCEs exhibited liquid crystalline mesophases. When LCE is cured with a diamine crosslinker, the cured LCE maintains the oriented LC domain formed in the uncured state, ascribing to a presence of dipole–diploe and π–π interactions between cyanobiphenyl mesogenic end groups. Due to the anisotropic molecular orientation, the cured LCE exhibits a high thermal conductivity of 0.46 W m?1 K?1, which is higher than those of commercially available crystalline or amorphous epoxy resins. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The generation of a nonheme oxoiron(IV) intermediate, [(cyclam)FeIV(O)(CH3CN)]2+ ( 2 ; cyclam=1,4,8,11‐tetraazacyclotetradecane), is reported in the reactions of [(cyclam)FeII]2+ with aqueous hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) or a soluble iodosylbenzene (sPhIO) as a rare example of an oxoiron(IV) species that shows a preference for epoxidation over allylic oxidation in the oxidation of cyclohexene. Complex 2 is kinetically and catalytically competent to perform the epoxidation of olefins with high stereo‐ and regioselectivity. More importantly, 2 is likely to be the reactive intermediate involved in the catalytic epoxidation of olefins by [(cyclam)FeII]2+ and H2O2. In spite of the predominance of the oxoiron(IV) cores in biology, the present study is a rare example of high‐yield isolation and spectroscopic characterization of a catalytically relevant oxoiron(IV) intermediate in chemical oxidation reactions.  相似文献

We investigated the binding nature of the 1,2,3-alternate calix[6]arene with one piperidine, two piperidines, and two triethyl amines with a special emphasis on the hydrogen bonding networks by density functional theory calculations. The 1,2,3-alternate calix[6]arene strongly binds with piperidines and triethylamines at two different binding sites, exo and endo sites. In the two binding sites, the hydrogen bonding nature shows a characteristic difference. In the exo site, there formed only one hydrogen bond, while in the endo site, two hydrogen bonds except for the triethylamine. The proton transfer within the hydrogen bonding and the hydrogen bonding types, normal hydrogen bonding (NHB), short strong hydrogen bond (SSHB), and low barrier hydrogen bonding (LBHB), will be discussed in detail.  相似文献

The variations in geometry structure, IR spectra, as well as the molecular orbitals upon anion recognition for polyamide cryptand are explored with the hybrid density functional theory. The cavity generated by six amide NH groups shrinks upon F ? recognition because of the strong hydrogen bonds between the amide protons and F ? , while the cavity expands upon Cl ? binding because of the strong electron repulsion between the p electron of Cl ? and the lone pair electrons of the nitrogen atom of the pyridine moieties. The “electropositive field space” …Cl ? coupling exists when Cl ? is recognized. The strong anion binding energy with F ? indicates that the polyamide cryptand prefers F ? to Cl ? .  相似文献
