Care was taken to generate high-contrast targets for calibration and measurements. These target coordinates were documented with an order of magnitude more accuracy than achievable using photogrammetry. The repeatability of the film measurements was also an order of magnitude more accurate than photogrammetric coordinate determinations.
The best accuracy for in-plane measurements of X or V was approximately 0.2 percent (1 part in 500) and 0.4 percent (1 part in 250) for range Z measurements.
It is not obvious how the accuracy can be easily increased using this hardware; measurements for the purpose of quality control of typical parts manufactured by machining and grinding is out of the question.
Measurements for quality control of bent sheet metal may be possible. Certainly automobile accident reconstruction scenes, general archiving, and similarly relaxed environments have applications for this accuracy.
This fine-grain film with its 35-mm format has an order of magnitude more resolution than a typical solid state CCD imager. Furthermore, it is difficult to perceive object targets which result from features of the part itself that would even approach the contrast of the special targets used here.
More accuracy is, however, obtainable from convergent cameras, redundant cameras, calibrated optics/principal points, large-film format, stereo-plotter measurements, and error minimization techniques.  相似文献

The results of a theoretical study on the stability of fcc (1 1 1) metal surfaces to certain commensurate-incommensurate reconstructive phase transformations is presented. Specifically, we have performed computer simulation studies of the 22×√3 surface reconstruction of Au(1 1 1). This reconstruction involves a uniaxial contraction of the top monolayer corresponding to a surface strain of about 4.3% and has been observed to be the stable structure for the clean surface at low temperatures. The driving force for the reconstruction has been associated with the quantity (fγ), where f is the surface stress and γ is the surface free energy, while the opposing force is due to the disregistry with the underlying lattice. A continuum model yields a stability criterion that depends on the knowledge of a small number of physical quantities: f, γ, the equilibrium nearest-neighbor spacing r1 and the shear modulus G. We have performed molecular dynamics simulations as a general stability analysis of these types of reconstructions. The results are in excellent agreement with the continuum model. The simulations using embedded-atom method potentials also accurately reproduce many observed features of the reconstruction on Au(1 1 1).  相似文献

L-454,560 is a potent phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) inhibitor which was identified as a development candidate for the treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). As part of the discovery of this compound, interspecies in vitro metabolism data was generated using liver microsomes and hepatocytes in order to understand the metabolic fate of the compound. In microsomes, metabolism of the 3-methyl-1,2,4-oxadiazole ring was the predominant pathway observed, including ring cleavage. In rat hepatocytes, hydroxylation of the methyl group on the oxadiazole ring and double-bond isomerization were the most abundant metabolites observed. No major species differences were found in terms of microsomal metabolite profiles. The use of LC with UV and MS detection is highlighted, as well as information from tandem mass spectrometry and NMR.  相似文献

Background

The anti-inflammatory properties of some flavonoids have been attributed to their ability to inhibit the production of NO by activated macrophages. Soybean cotyledons accumulate certain flavonoids following elicitation with an extract of the fungal pathogen Diaporthe phaseolorum f. sp. meridionalis (Dpm). Sodium nitroprusside (SNP), a nitric oxide donor, can substitute for Dpm in inducing flavonoid production. In this study, we investigated the effect of flavonoid-containing diffusates obtained from Dpm- and SNP-elicited soybean cotyledons on NO production by lipopolysaccharide (LPS)- and LPS plus interferon-γ (IFNγ)-activated murine macrophages.

Results

Significant inhibition of NO production, measured as nitrite formation, was observed when macrophages were activated in the presence of soybean diffusates from Dpm- or SNP-elicited cotyledons. This inhibition was dependent on the duration of exposure to the elicitor. Daidzein, genistein, luteolin and apigenin, the main flavonoids present in diffusates of elicited cotyledons, suppressed the NO production by LPS + IFNγ activated macrophages in a concentration-dependent manner, with IC50 values of 81.4 μM, 34.5 μM, 38.6 μM and 10.4 μM respectively. For macrophages activated with LPS alone, the IC50 values were 40.0 μM, 16.6 μM, 10.4 μM and 2.8 μM, respectively. Western blot analysis showed that iNOS expression was not affected by daidzein, was reduced by genistein, and was abolished by apigenin, luteolin and Dpm- and SNP-soybean diffusates at concentrations that significantly inhibited NO production by activated macrophages.

Conclusions

These results suggest that the suppressive effect of flavonoids on iNOS expression could account for the potent inhibitory effect of Dpm- and SNP-diffusates on NO production by activated macrophages. Since the physiological concentration of flavonoids in plants is normally low, the treatment of soybean tissues with SNP may provide a simple method for substantially increasing the concentration of metabolites that are beneficial for the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases associated with NO production.
