Synthesis and spectral characterization of some complexes of platinum(II) containing η-methyleugenol

Several complexes of the formula trans-[Pt(Meug)(Am)Cl₂], Meug: methyleugenol (4-allyl-1,2-dimethoxybenzene), a η²-coordinated olefin, and Am: ammine, methylamine, diethylamine, o-toluidine, m-toluidine, p-toluidine, o-anisidine, m-anisidine and p-anisidine have been prepared. UV, IR, Raman, ¹H NMR, ¹³C NMR and 2D NMR spectra of the complexes were recorded and analyzed.     

Metal-free synthesis of 2-mercaptobenzothiazoles and 6-(4-substituted-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)-2-mercaptobenzothiazoles via microwave-assisted synthesis pathway

Abstract

A simple, efficient, and metal-free methodology for the preparation of 2-mercaptobenzothiazole and derivatives in excellent yields via microwave-assisted pathway is reported. Our condition provides a convenient protocol for the synthesis of a diverse collection of 2-mercaptobenzothiazoles and 6-(4-substituted-1H-1,2,3-triazol-1-yl)-2-mercaptobenzothiazoles with a very simple purification process. This report provides an alternative protocol for fast access to the wide range of compounds for sequence synthesis and biological studies.

用分子动力学模拟计算了微孔介质中流体氩在不同温度、不同密度和不同孔径下的剪切粘度.并根据Chapman-Enskog关于硬球流体传递性质的理论以及Heyes的关于Lennard-Jones流体粘度的表达式,提出了两个描述微孔介质中流体粘度的模型,该模型可以计算微孔中流体氩在不同状态下的粘度值.通过与计算机模拟值的比较,证明这两个微孔流体粘度模型是可用的.     

Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic property of the novel dinuclear nickel(II) complex with 4-(p-methoxyphenyl)-3,5-bis(pyridine-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole

A novel dinuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni₂(MOBPT)₂Cl₂(H₂O)₂]Cl₂ · 7H₂O (MOBPT = 4-(p-methoxyphenyl) −3,5-bis(pyridine-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and single crystal X-ray diffraction methods. The crystal structure determination shows that the dinuclear Ni₂N₈ unit is almost planer in which each Ni^II ion is coordinated by four nitrogen atoms from MOBPT equatorially and a water molecule and a chloride ion axially in a distorted octahedral geometry. Magnetic measurements reveal a relatively weak antiferromagnetic exchange in the complex.     

Streamlined construction of peptide macrocycles via palladium-catalyzed intramolecular S-arylation in solution and on DNA

A highly efficient and versatile method for construction of peptide macrocycles via palladium-catalyzed intramolecular S-arylation of alkyl and aryl thiols with aryl iodides under mild conditions is developed. The method exhibits a broad substrate scope for thiols, aryl iodides and amino acid units. Peptide macrocycles of a wide range of size and composition can be readily assembled in high yield from various easily accessible building blocks. This method has been successfully employed to prepare an 8-million-membered tetrameric cyclic peptide DNA-encoded library (DEL). Preliminary screening of the DEL library against protein p300 identified compounds with single digit micromolar inhibition activity.

Synthesis and heterocyclizations of 3‐alkynyl‐6,8‐dimethylpyrimido‐[4,5‐c]pyridazine‐5,7(6H,8H)‐diones and their lumazine analogues

Synthesis of some condensed pyrrolo‐, thieno‐, furo‐, pyrido‐ and pyranopteridines as well as isomeric pyrrolo‐ and thienopyrimido[4,5‐c]pyridazines from alkynyl derivatives of 6,8‐dimethylpyrimido[4,5‐c]pyridazine‐5,7(6H,8H)‐dione and 1,3‐dimethyllumazine is represented.     

Rh(CO)2Cl]2-catalyzed domino reactions involving allylic substitution and subsequent carbocyclization reactions

[reaction: see text] Three novel domino reaction processes have been discovered and developed that employ the regioselective and stereoselective [Rh(CO)(2)Cl](2)-catalyzed alkylations of allylic trifluoroacetates with alpha-substituted sodiomalonates followed by an intramolecular Pauson-Khand annulation, a [5 + 2] cycloaddition, or a cycloisomerization. A unique aspect of the methodology is that a single catalyst is used to effect sequential transformations simply by increasing the temperature for the second reaction.     

Proton affinities by reactant ion monitoring: Triphenyl group Va compounds

Proton affinities of a series of triphenyl Group Va compounds have been determined by bracketing using reactant ion monitoring: (C₆H₅)₃N = 904 ± 8 kJ mol^?1, (C₆H₅)₃P = 968 ± 5 kJ mol^?1, (C₆H₅)₃As = 904 ± 8 kJ mol^?1 and (C₆H₅)₃Sb = 846 ± 8 kJ mol^?1. The large difference in substituent effect of phenyl for hydrogen between As or P and N may result from overlap of the 2p orbitals of N with the sp² orbitals on the ring carbons and lack of overlap for P or As. Proton affinities of phenylalkylphosphine oxides are essentially the same, 904 ± 8 kJ mol^?1, independent of alkyl group.     

n-Hexane dehydrocyclization over Pt?Ni supported on alumina catalysts

Pt–Ni/-Al₂O₃ catalysts have been prepared and studied in n-hexane dehydrocyclization. The selectivity for benzene and toluene, a chain lengthening product formation was improved by Ni and correlated with its content.

Fast determination of the tin content in cassiterite ores by photon activation method

Photon activation analysis has been success-fully applied to the fast and non-destructive analysis of tin in cassiterite ores based on the 159.7 keV gamma line of^123mSn produced in the¹²⁴Sn/γ, n/^123mSn reaction. In order to improve the accuracy of analytical results, corrections for self-absorption and pile-up effects were performed. Under typical conditions /15 μA electron beam current, 15 MeV bremsstrahlung energy, 5 min irradiation time and 10 min measurement/ the sensitivity of the analysis is 10 ppm. The proposed method can be used for routine analysis of tin in geological samples.
