Comparison Study of Phenylquinoline-based Iridium(III) Complexes for Solution Processable Phosphorescent Organic Light-Emitting Diodes by PEDOT:PSS and Graphene Oxide as a Hole Transport Layer

Electroluminescent (EL) properties of Ir(III) complex, [(2,4-diphenylquinoli-ne)]₂Iridium picolinic acid N-oxide [(DPQ)₂Ir(pic-N-O)] were investigated using PEDOT:PSS and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) as a hole transport layer for solution processable phosphorescent organic light-emitting diodes (PhOLEDs). High performance solution-processable PhOLED with PEDOT:PSS and (DPQ)₂Ir(pic-N-O) (8 wt%) doped CBP:TPD:PBD (8:56:12) host emission layer were fabricated to give a high luminance efficiency (LE) of 26.9 cd/A, equivelent to an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 14.2%. The corresponding PhOLED with rGO as a hole transport layer exhibited the maximum brightness and LE of 13540 cd/m² and 16.8 cd/A, respectively. The utilization of the solution processable rGO thin films as the hole transport layer offered the great potential to the fabrication of solution processable PhOLEDs.     

Enantioselective pinacol coupling reaction of aromatic aldehydes catalyzed by chiral vanadium complexes

The asymmetric pinacol coupling of aromatic aldehydes by chiral salan–vanadium complexes as effective catalysts is reported. Chiral 1,2-diols were obtained with high diastereoselectivities (up to 90/10) and moderate to high enantioselectivities (up to 82% ee). The possible mechanism of the pinacol coupling reaction is also discussed.     

Sensor for lead(II) ion based on a glassy carbon electrode modified with double-stranded DNA and ferric oxide nanoparticles

Shuttle-like Fe₂O₃ nanoparticles (NPs) were prepared by microwave-assisted synthesis and characterized by scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The NPs were immobilized on a glassy carbon electrode and then covered with dsDNA. The resulting electrode gives a pair of well-defined redox peaks for Pb(II) at pH 6.0, with anodic and cathodic peak potentials occurring at ?0.50?V and ?0.75?V (vs. Ag/AgCl), respectively. The amperometric response to Pb(II) is linear in the range from 0.12 to 40?nM, and the detection limit is 0.1?nM at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3. The sensor exhibits high selectivity and reproducibility.

Pulsed laser deposition of aluminate YAlO3 and LaAlO3 thin films for alternative gate dielectric applications

Amorphous aluminate YAlO₃ (YAO) thin films on n-type silicon wafers as gate dielectric layers of metal–oxide–semiconductor devices are prepared by pulsed laser deposition. As a comparison, amorphous aluminate LaAlO₃ (LAO) thin films are also prepared. The structural and electrical characterization shows that the as-prepared YAO films remain amorphous until 900 °C and the dielectric constant is ∼14. The measured leakage current of less than 10^-3 A/cm² at a bias of V_G=1.0 V for ∼40-nm-thick YAO and LAO films obeys the Fowler–Nordheim tunneling mechanism. It is revealed that the electrical property can be significantly affected by the oxygen pressure during deposition and post rapid thermal annealing, which may change the fixed negative charge density at the gate interface. Preparation of multitracer solution from silver target irradiated by 80 MeV/nucleon 20Ne ions

A convenient procedure for preparing a multitracer solution from irradiated silver foils by 80 MeV/nucleon ²⁰Ne ions was developed. The carrier-free and salt-free solution containing 19 essential elements or trace elements for plant growth were prepared, and had been applied to study the regulation effect of metal ions on somatic embryogenesis of Lycium barbarum L.     

Quark-Chiral Field interaction in SU(3) Model

A quark-quark potential is derived from the linear expression of the Lagrangian Which is invariant under the SU(3)_L×SU(3)_R infinitesimal transformation,and further used to make a qualitative analysis on the Λ-N interaction.The result shows that the SU(3)chiral scalar fields are important in explaining the spin-dependence feature of the Λ-N interaction.

催化动力学法测定银的指示反应多为配他体取代反应与氧化还原反应,通常以后者的灵敏度较高,重现性较好,Mueller依据过硫酸钾-对氨基苯磺酸-乙二胺反应体系建立的催化动力学法,其灵敏度达1×10^-3μg/ml。     

Simultaneous Determination of Paracetamol,Ibuprofen, and Caffeine in Tablets by Molecular Absorption Spectroscopy Combined with Classical Least Square Method

In this paper, the classical least-squares (CLS) method with molecular absorption spectrophotometric measurement was used to determine simultaneously paracetamol (PAR), ibuprofen (IBU), and caffeine (CAF) in tablets. The absorbance spectra of the standard solutions and samples were measured over a wavelength from 220 to 300 nm with a 0.5 nm step. The concentration of PAR, IBU, and CAF in the sample solutions was calculated by using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and a program called CLS-Excel written in Microsoft Excel 2016. The method and the CLS-Excel program were tested on mixed standard laboratory samples with different PAR, IBU, and CAF concentration ratios, and they showed only small errors and a satisfying repeatability. An analytical procedure for tablets containing PAR, IBU, and CAF was developed. The reliability of the procedure was proved via the recovery and repeatability of the analysis results with an actual tablet sample and by comparing the mean contents of active substances in the tablets obtained from the analytical procedure with the HPLC method. The procedure is simple with a reduced cost compared with the HPLC standard method.
