Quantitative measurements on field evaporation of Si(111) surfaces in hydrogen imaging gas have been carried out by field ion microscopy. The field evaporation rate is found to increase exponentially with increase of the reciprocal of tip temperature in the range 80–103 K. The evaporation field strength increases with increase of tip temperature in the investigated range, 80–300 K. Within the applied pressure range, 5× 10?6 to 2 × 10?4 Torr of hydrogen gas, the evaporation rate linearly increases with the gas pressure. Similar effects of temperature and gas pressure on field evaporation of Si(111) surfaces have been observed also in silane imaging gas. A model, based on a field-induced formation of surface hydrides as a rate-determining step, is proposed, which accounts for all the experimental results of the field evaporation process. 相似文献

Electrical resistivities of arc-melted uranium carbides, UC, UC2, U2C3 and UC + UC2, were measured over the temperature range between 4 and 1900 K. The monocarbide, dicarbide and the mixture of carbides showed metallic character in their resistivity dependence on temperature above 30 K, while below this the resistivities were constant. U2C3 showed a knee in the resistivity curve at 54.0 K corresponding to a magnetic transition. Above 1100 K, the resistivity of U2C3 did not vary with temperature. The resistivity of the mixture (UC + UC2 with U2C3 precipitates) showed an arrest between 800 and 950 K. 相似文献

Given an undirected graph and an integer , we consider the problem of augmenting G by a minimum set of new edges so that the diameter becomes at most D. It is known that no constant factor approximation algorithms to this problem with an arbitrary graph G can be obtained unless , while the problem with only a few graph classes such as forests is approximable within a constant factor. In this article, we give the first constant factor approximation algorithm to the problem with an outerplanar graph G. Two new norsesterterpenoid cyclic peroxides, trunculins X and Y, were isolated from an Okinawan sponge Sigmosceptrella sp. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic analyses on intact molecules and derivatives and also by crystallographic study. Chemically disordered face-centered cubic (fcc) FePt nanoparticles (NPs) with a mean diameter of 9 nm were synthesized via pyrolysis of iron(III) ethoxide and platinum(II) acetylacetonate. The surface ligands of these NPs were then exchanged from oleic acid to tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAOH) to measure the longitudinal (T1) and transverse (T2) proton relaxation times of aqueous dispersion of FePt NPs. Magnetic resonance relaxometry reveals that TMAOH-capped FePt NPs have a higher T2-shortening effect than conventional superparamagnetic iron oxide NPs, indicating that fcc-phase FePt NPs might be superior negative contrast agents for magnetic resonance imaging. 相似文献
