We demonstrate an optical parametric chirped-pulse amplification (OPCPA) system with the pulse energy of 1.5 mJ at a 1 kHz repetition rate. The newly developed 100 ps Ti:sapphire pump laser system, which was optically synchronized with OPCPA seed pulses, delivered 10 mJ, 400 nm pump pulses. After three-stage parametric amplification, recompression of the amplifier output from 45 ps to 6.4 fs was performed. The pulse width of 6.4 fs is, to our knowledge, the shortest ever obtained by OPCPA, and the average power of 1.5 W (1.5 mJ, 1 kHz) is believed to be the highest among few-cycle OPCPA systems.  相似文献

The Er3Al5O12 phosphor powders were prepared using the solution combustion method. Formation and homogeneity of the Er3Al5O12 phosphor powders have been verified by X-ray diffraction and energy-dispersive X-ray analysis respectively. The frequency up-conversion from Er3Al5O12 phosphor powder corresponding to the 2H9/24I15/2, 2H11/24I15/2, 4S3/24I15/2, 4F9/24I15/2 and the infrared emission (IR) due to the 4I13/24I15/2 transitions lying at ∼410, ∼524, ∼556, 645–680 nm and at ∼1.53 μm respectively upon excitation with a Ti-Sapphire pulsed/CW laser have been reported. The mechanism responsible for the frequency up-conversion and IR emission is discussed in detail. Defect centres induced by radiation were studied using the techniques of thermoluminescence and electron spin resonance. A single glow peak at 430°C is observed and the thermoluminescence results show the presence of a defect center which decays at high temperature. Electron spin resonance studies indicate a center characterized by a g-factor equal to 2.0056 and it is observed that this center is not related to the thermoluminescence peak. A negligibly small concentration of cation and anion vacancies appears to be present in the phosphor in accordance with the earlier theoretical predictions.  相似文献

The fabrication of three-dimensional layered structures with 180-nm-thick TaOx top layers supported by 1.5-μm-thick Mo pillars formed on a glass substrate is presented. The photoresist used for planarization was successfully removed through the TaOx layers using heat treatment at 270 °C with mixed vapors of ethyl alcohol and pure water at high pressure for 3 h. Vacancies underlying the TaOx layers were consequently formed. The possibility of rapid and lateral crystallization of amorphous silicon films was demonstrated when the silicon films formed on the TaOx overlaying the vacancy regions were irradiated using a frequency-doubled YAG laser at 250 mJ/cm2. Energy sensors using Cr/Al metal wires, with a high sensitivity of 0.07 mW/cm2, were also demonstrated using the present structure with vacancy regions for reduction of heat diffusion. Muon spin rotation (μSR) experiments were performed on single crystal samples of KH2PO4(KDP) and KD2PO4(dKDP) to study the dynamics of hydrogen in hydrogen bonding systems. At low temperature, the nuclear dipole interaction of muon and proton was confirmed from the angular dependence of precession frequency of the muon spin under zero magnetic field. The muon occupation site was also determined. A clear change in μSR spectra was observed at the antiferroelectric transition temperature (123 K). At 90 K well below the transition temperature, the muon spin starts to relax, possibly due to muon dynamics. Magnetic and quadrupolar ordering phenomena in a Ce3Pd20Ge6 single crystal have been investigated by muon spin rotation/relaxation (μ+SR) spectroscopy. We have observed spontaneous precession of muons in zero-field below T N =0.7 K in the antiferromagnetic state. The precession frequency follows the power law: ν(T)=ν(0)(1−T/T N ) n . The exponent n=0.43(2) is close to the mean-field value of 0.5. The muon longitudinal spin relaxation rate 1/T 1 is found to be nearly independent of temperature in the range of 0.3 to 2 K, i.e., across either T N or T Q =1.2 K, the quadrupolar ordering temperature. Two likely mechanisms for the temperature independent behavior of 1/T 1 are suggested. This revised version was published online in September 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of nuclei in the light-mass neutron-rich region have been studied by taking advantage of spin-polarized radioactive nuclear beams that have been obtained from the projectile fragmentation reaction. Analyses of the results reveal a few interesting phenomena characteristic of nuclear structures in this region. In particular, we report in some detail the latest result on the magnetic moment of the 17C ground state. The distinctly small value of the g-factor obtained, |g(17C)|=0.5054±0.0025, clearly excludes a I π=1/2+ candidate for the spin-parity assignment of this marginally bound nucleus, providing a reasonable account of the non-halo nature reported in recent breakup reaction experiments. Finally, future plans at the upcoming radioactive beam facility presently under construction at RIKEN are briefly mentioned. It was observed that the vacuum magnetic island produced by an external error magnetic field in the large helical device shrank in the presence of plasma. This was evidenced by the disappearance of flat regions in the electron temperature profile obtained by Thomson scattering. Two flame spray methods, emulsion combustion method (ECM) and flame spray pyrolysis (FSP), were compared for synthesis of pure and mixed SiO2 and ZnO nanoparticles. The effect of silicon precursor was investigated using liquid hexamethyldisiloxane (HMDSO) or SiO2 sol, while for ZnO zinc acetate (ZA) was used. Gas phase reaction took place when using HMDSO as Si precursor, forming nanoparticles, whereas the SiO2 sol used as Si source was not evaporated in the flame, creating large aggregates of the sol particles (e.g. 1 m). The FSP of ZA produced ZnO homogeneous nanoparticles. Lower flame temperatures in ECM than in FSP resulted in mixed gas and liquid phase reaction, forming ZnO particles with inhomogeneous sizes. The FSP of HMDSO and ZA led to intimate gas-phase mixing of Zn and Si, suppressing each other's particle growth, forming nanoparticles of 19 nm in BET-equivalent average primary particle diameter. Nucleation of ZnO and SiO2 occurred independently by ECM of HMDSO and ZA as well as by FSP of the SiO2 sol and ZA, creating a ZnO and SiO2 mixture. The reaction of ZnO with SiO2 was likely to be enhanced by ECM of the SiO2 sol and ZA where both Zn and Si species were not evaporated completely, resulting in ZnO, -willemite and Zn1.7SiO4 mixed phase.  相似文献

The frequency- and temperature-dependences of a.c. ionic conductivity of one-dimensional super-ionic conductors K-priderites with a hollandite type structures were investigated from 100 Hz to 37.0 GHz. Four kinds of K-priderite, K1.6Mg0.8Ti7.2O16, (K1.3, Li0.1) Mg0.7Ti7.3O16, K1.6Al1.6Ti6.4O16 and (K1.3, Li0.2) Al1.5Ti6.5O16, were studied. An equivalent circuit to combine the data of the complex conductivity at low and high frequencies was proposed. The data of complex conductivity at low frequencies can be analyzed in terms of the moving box model proposed by Beyeler et al. The transport of K+ ions at low frequencies is characterized by the cooperative motion of the K+ ions with various mobilities and is accompanied with the polarization of the K+ ions in the channels. The ion transport across intrinsic barriers at or above microwave frequencies is characterized by the frequency-independent ionic conductivity and is interpreted by the configurational model proposed by Beyeler et al. The height of intrinsic barriers is related to the lattice constants of a crystal.  相似文献
