Density and ultrasonic velocity of the mixtures of the new ionic liquid 2-hydroxy ethylammonium formate (2-HEAF) and short hydroxylic solvents (water, methanol, and ethanol) have been measured at the range of temperature (288.15 to 323.15) K and atmospheric pressure. The corresponding apparent molar volume and the apparent molar isentropic compressibility values have been evaluated from the experimental data and fitted to a temperature dependent Redlich–Mayer equation. From these correlations, the limiting infinite dilution values of the apparent magnitudes have also been computed. Derived properties such as isobaric expansibility and isothermal coefficient of pressure excess molar enthalpy were computed due to their importance in the study of specific molecular interactions. The new experimental data were used to test the capability of prediction of the modified Heller temperature dependent equation (MHE) and collision factor theory (CFT). The obtained results indicate that ionic liquid interactions in water are weaker than in the studied alcoholic solutions. An intersection point in isotherms of isentropic compressibility was observed for aqueous solutions which may be an indication of the clathrate structural interactions at high solvent composition. The observed inverse dependence on temperature for aqueous or alcoholic mixtures points out the special trend of packing of this ionic liquid into hydroxylic solvents and its strong dependence on steric hindrance of aliphatic residues. As previously observed, the increase in van der Waals forces due to the presence of long alkyl chain (into ionic liquid and alcohols) leads to higher interactions on mixing.  相似文献

The essential oil of Chrysactinia mexicana retrieved from the root bark was characterized by gas chromatography coupled to a mass detector. The compounds silphiperfol-5-ene, 7-epi- silphiperfol-5-ene, modheph-2-ene, alpha-isocomene, beta-isocomene and methyl-linoleate were identified. The principal compound (76.42%) could not be identified by the library and was further isolated through a reverse phase C-18 chromatography followed by silica gel chromatography and identified as 5-(3-buten-1-ynyl)-2,2'-bithienyl. Both the oil and the isolated compound were tested for their antimicrobial activity against two strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae resistant to beta-lactam antibiotics. MICs were 250 microg/mL and 125 microg/mL respectively. This is the first report about extraction of oil and compound 5-(3-buten-1-ynyl)-2, 2'-bithienyl from roots of Chrysactinia mexicana as well as the determination of antimicrobial activity against S. pneumoniae.  相似文献

Chalcogenide opal and inverse opal photonic crystals were successfully fabricated by low-cost and low-temperature solution-based process, which is well developed in polymer films processing. Highly ordered silica colloidal crystal films were successfully infilled with nano-colloidal solution of the high refractive index As(30)S(70) chalcogenide glass by using spin-coating method. The silica/As-S opal film was etched in HF acid to dissolve the silica opal template and fabricate the inverse opal As-S photonic crystal. Both, the infilled silica/As-S opal film (Δn ~ 0.84 near λ=770 nm) and the inverse opal As-S photonic structure (Δn ~ 1.26 near λ=660 nm) had significantly enhanced reflectivity values and wider photonic bandgaps in comparison with the silica opal film template (Δn ~ 0.434 near λ=600 nm). The key aspects of opal film preparation by spin-coating of nano-colloidal chalcogenide glass solution are discussed. The solution fabricated "inorganic polymer" opal and the inverse opal structures exceed photonic properties of silica or any organic polymer opal film. The fabricated photonic structures are proposed for designing novel flexible colloidal crystal laser devices, photonic waveguides and chemical sensors.  相似文献

Manganese propane and manganese butane complexes derived from CpMn(CO)(3) were generated photochemically at 130-136 K with the alkane as solvent and characterized by FTIR spectroscopy and by (1)H NMR spectroscopy with in situ laser photolysis. Time-resolved IR spectroscopic measurements were performed at room temperature with the same laser wavelength. The ν(CO) bands in the IR spectra of the photoproducts in propane are shifted to low frequency with respect to CpMn(CO)(3), consistent with formation of CpMn(CO)(2)(propane). The (1)H NMR spectra conform to the criteria for alkane complexes: a high-field resonance for the η(2)-CH protons that shifts substantially on partial deuteration of the alkane and exhibits a coupling constant J(C-H) on (13)C-labeling of ca. 120 Hz. The NMR spectrum of each system exhibits two diagnostic product resonances in the high-field region for the η(2)-CH protons, corresponding to CpMn(CO)(2)(η(2)-C1-H-alkane) and CpMn(CO)(2)(η(2)-C2-H-alkane) isomers. Partial deuteration of the alkane at C1 results in characteristic strong isotopic perturbation of equilibrium of the η(2)-CH resonance of CpMn(CO)(2)(η(2)-C1-H-alkane). With propane-(13)C(1), the η(2)-CH resonance of CpMn(CO)(2)(η(2)-C1-H-alkane) isomer exhibits (13)C satellites with J(C-H) = 119 Hz. The corresponding resonance of CpMn(CO)(2)(η(2)-C2-H-alkane) is identified by use of propane-2,2-d(2). The lifetimes of the (η(2)-C1-H-alkane) isomers of the manganese complexes were determined by NMR spectroscopy as 22 ± 2 min at 134 K (propane) and 5.5 min at 136 K (butane). The corresponding spectra and lifetimes of the CpRe(CO)(2)(alkane) complexes were measured for reference (CpRe(CO)(2)(propane) lifetime ca. 60 min at 161 K; CpRe(CO)(2)(butane) 13 min at 171 K). The lifetimes determined by IR spectroscopy were similar to those determined by NMR spectroscopy, thereby supporting the assignments. These measurements extend the range of alkane complexes characterized by NMR spectroscopy from rhenium and rhodium derivatives to include less stable manganese derivatives.  相似文献

We report a MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems)-based microbial fuel cell (MFC) that produces a high power density. The MFC features 4.5-μL anode/cathode chambers defined by 20-μm-thick photo-definable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films. The MFC uses a Geobacter-enriched mixed bacterial culture, anode-respiring bacteria (ARB) that produces a conductive biofilm matrix. The MEMS MFC generated a maximum current density of 16,000 μA cm(-3) (33 μA cm(-2)) and power density of 2300 μW cm(-3) (4.7 μW cm(-2)), both of which are substantially greater than achieved by previous MEMS MFCs. The coulombic efficiency of the MEMS MFC was at least 31%, by far the highest value among reported MEMS MFCs. The performance improvements came from using highly efficient ARB, minimizing the impact of oxygen intrusion to the anode chamber, having a large specific surface area that led to low internal resistance.  相似文献

The self-assembly of a carbonylpyridine-based heptadentate ligand with Ln(III) results in the formation of triangular trinuclear europium complexes, which exhibit interesting luminescent properties in the solid state and in solution. With a view to developing multimodal responsive systems, we report here the preparation and characterisation of analogous complexes with Gd(III). The X-ray crystal structure of Gd(3)L2(3) indeed reveals the isostructurality with the Eu(III) complexes. A combination of (1)H NMRD and variable temperature studies yields the parameters elucidating the exchange of coordinated water and relaxivity properties. Conveniently, the competitive spectrophotometric titrations with EDTA and NTA are used to determine the thermodynamic stability constants of the europium complexes in aqueous media. In addition, the exchange reaction with EDTA is monitored with NMR and fluorimetry. The interactions of the Eu(III) trinuclear complex with some potentially interfering ligands are qualitatively investigated by means of luminescence titrations.  相似文献

The dissociation rates and energetics of the loss of halogen atoms from energy-selected halotoluene ions were investigated by photoelectron photoion coincidence (PEPICO) and collisional activation (CA) mass spectrometric experiments. Dissociation onsets, determined from the dissociation rates measured as a function of the internal energy of the parent ion, revealed the formation of three [C7H7]+ isomers, which were identified, on the basis of the CA data, as the tolyl, benzyl and tropylium ions. All of the ions investigated produced a mixture of isomeric ions. Only iodotoluene ions produced any tolyl product ions by a direct bond cleavage. The bromo- and chlorotoiuene ions produced mixtures of benzyl and tropyl ions. The observed two-component decay rates of the iodotoluene ions revealed the participation of a lower energy [C7H7I]+ ˙ isomer in the dissociation process. The identity of this isomer is not known but it probably does not have the cycloheptatriene ion structure because considerable kinetic energy was released in this dissociation.  相似文献

Kinetics of the OH-initiated reactions of acetic acid and its deuterated isomers have been investigated performing simulation chamber experiments at T = 300 ± 2 K. The following rate constant values have been obtained (± 1σ, in cm3 molecule−1 s−1): k 1(CH3C(O)OH + OH) = (6.3 ± 0.9) × 10−13, k 2(CH3C(O)OD + OH) = (1.5 ± 0.3) × 10−13, k 3(CD3C(O)OH + OH) = (6.3 ± 0.9) × 10−13, and k 4(CD3C(O)OD + OH) = (0.90 ± 0.1) × 10−13. This study presents the first data on k 2(CH3C(O)OD + OH). Glyoxylic acid has been detected among the products confirming the fate of the CH2C(O)OH radical as suggested by recent theoretical studies.  相似文献

The present study focuses on the GC analysis of alkylglycerols and other neutral lipid classes. For that matter, a simple and rapid method based on the direct on-column injection has been developed for the simultaneous analysis of numerous fatty samples from different sources. Chemical transformation or treatment of the sample before the injection of samples is not required. In addition, quantification of different lipid classes was also evaluated with satisfactory results. Excellent results regarding reproducibility and resolution were observed. This method can be utilized for multiple purposes such as analyses of edible oils, shark liver oils, deodorizer distillates, time course analyses of lipase-catalyzed reactions, etc.  相似文献

A simple and reliable method to determine total and inorganic mercury in biological certified reference material (CRM) by cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometry (CV AAS) is proposed. After the CRM treatment at room temperature with tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH), inorganic mercury is determined by CV AAS. Total mercury is measured by the same technique, after sample acid digestion in a microwave oven. Organic mercury, basically methylmercury, is obtained by difference. In both procedures, the quartz tube is kept at room temperature. By means of analysis of the following reference materials: pig kidney, lobster hepatopancreas, dogfish liver and mussel tissue, it was clear that the difference between the total and inorganic mercury concentrations agrees with the methylmercury concentration. Only one calibration curve against aqueous standards in acidic medium was carried out for both procedures. The concentrations obtained by both procedures are in agreement with the certified values according to the t-test at a 95% confidence level. The relative standard deviations were lower than 3.0% for digested CRM and 6.0% for CRM treated with TMAH for most of the samples. The limits of detection in the samples were 0.02 µg g− 1 and 0.04 µg g− 1 for inorganic and total Hg, respectively, since the sample mass for total mercury was half of that for inorganic mercury determination. Simplicity and high efficiency without using chromatographic techniques are some of the qualities of the proposed method, being adequate for fractionation analysis of mercury in biological samples.  相似文献
