A detailed computational study is performed on the singlet potential energy surface (PES) for possible isomerization and dissociation reactions of CH(3)CHO at the DFT (B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p)) and CCSD(T)/cc-pVTZ//B3LYP/6-311++G(d,p) levels. The pathways around the equilibrium structures can be discovered by the scaled hypersphere search (SHS) method, which enables us to make a global analysis of the PES for a given chemical composition. Fourteen isomers inclusive of 11 single-molecules and three "non-stabilized" oxygen-based ylides, 5 energetically favored complexes, and 79 interconversion transition states have been found on the singlet PES. Four lowest lying isomers with thermodynamic stability are also kinetically stable with respect to metastable intermediates. It was revealed that vinyl alcohols, which could be generated by the tautomerization of acetaldehyde, could undergo dissociation to form acetylene and water. In addition, recombination channels between some fragments, such as H(2)CO + (1)CH(2) and (1)CHOH + (1)CH(2), are energetically accessible via collision complex or oxygen-based ylides. Most of available unimolecular decompositions are found to be responsible for favorable hydrogen abstraction processes. 相似文献

The vibronic (vibrational-electronic) interactions in the pi-anion radicals of the metalloporphyrins (M=Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn), which show delocalized D4h structures in the neutral states, are discussed using B3LYP density-functional-theory calculations. The B1g and B2g modes of vibration can remove the degenerate 2Eg state of the pi-anion radicals in the D4h symmetric structures to lead to rectangular and diamond D2h distortions, respectively. Calculated vibronic coupling constants demonstrate that the B1g modes of vibration better couple with the degenerate electronic state, leading to the rectangular D2h distortion. In particular, the B1g modes of nu10 and nu11, which have dominant contributions from Calpha-Cm and Cbeta-Cbeta stretching, give large vibronic coupling constants in the pi-anion radicals. The vibronic coupling constant can be viewed as the Jahn-Teller distortion force, and therefore these C-C stretching B1g modes will play a central role in the Jahn-Teller effect of the pi-anion radicals of the metalloporphyrins. 相似文献

Enolate generated from O-(tetrahydropyran-2-yl)hydroxyacetone under thermodynamically controlled conditions (1.3 equiv of NaH, THF, 0 degrees C to rt) was allylated at the carbon bearing the protected hydroxy group with very high regioselectively. When tert-BuOH, equivalent to the excessive portion of initially added NaH, was introduced into the mixture followed by addition of aldehyde, aldol reaction took place on the methyl group to give 1-substituted 4-hydroxy-(1E),6-heptadien-3-one in acceptable yields after acidic treatment of the mixture for dehydration and deprotection. Introducing a chiral auxiliary protecting group into hydroxyacetone led to asymmetric allylation though stereoselectivity was around 50% ee. Thus, the hidden aspect of the chemoselective nature of protected hydroxyacetone-derived enolate generated under thermodynamically controlled conditions has opened a new avenue for two-directional elaboration of hydroxyacetone that should be potentially useful in organic synthesis. 相似文献

A low-temperature discharge nozzle source with a liquid-N(2) circulator for He*(2(3)S) metastable atoms has been developed in order to obtain the state-resolved collision energy dependence of Penning ionization cross sections in a low collision energy range from 20 to 80 meV. By controlling the discharge condition, we have made it possible to measure the collision energy dependence of partial ionization cross sections (CEDPICS) for a well-studied system of CH(3)CN+He*(2(3)S) in a wide energy range from 20 to 350 meV. The anisotropic interaction potential energy surface for the present system was obtained starting from an ab initio model potential via an optimization procedure based on classical trajectory calculations for the observed CEDPICS. A dominant attractive well depth was found to be 423 meV (ca. 10 kcal/mol) at a distance of 3.20 A from the center of mass of CH(3)CN in the N-atom side along the CCN axis. In addition, a weak attractive well (ca. 0.9 kcal/mol) surrounding the methyl group (-CH(3)) has been found and ascribed to the interaction between an unoccupied molecular orbital of CH(3)CN and 2s atomic orbital of He*(2(3)S). 相似文献

Water in carbon nanotubes is surrounded by hydrophobic carbon surfaces and shows anomalous structural and fast transport properties. However, the dynamics of water in hydrophobic nanospaces is only phenomenologically understood. In this study, water dynamics in hydrophobic carbon nanotubes is evaluated based on water relaxation using nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations. Extremely fast relaxation (0.001 s) of water confined in carbon nanotubes of 1 nm in diameter on average is observed; the relaxation times of water confined in carbon nanotubes with an average diameter of 2 nm (0.40 s) is similar to that of bulk water (0.44 s). The extremely fast relaxation time of water confined in carbon nanotubes with an average diameter of 1 nm is a result of frequent energy transfer between water and carbon surfaces. Water relaxation in carbon nanotubes of average diameter 2 nm is slow because of the limited number of collisions between water molecules. The dynamics of interfacial water can therefore be controlled by varying the size of the hydrophobic nanospace. 相似文献

A synthetic methodology to access all possible stereoisomers of spectomycin A1 (SMA1) and A2 (SMA2) has been established through late-stage diversification. The key reaction for the construction of all four diastereomers is an intramolecular cyclization based on the umpolung of π-allyl palladium species with bis(pinacolato)diborane (B2(pin)2). Silyl group assisted direct benzylic oxidation of each isomer enabled construction of the fragile β-hydroxytetralone skeleton to provide the SMAs. The relative and absolute stereochemistry of SMA2 was also determined, and the absolute stereochemistry of SMA1 was extrapolated based on the optical rotation of SMA2. The axial chirality of SMAs is discussed based on circular dichroism spectra and DFT calculations, and it is concluded that the M isomer is predominant in solution. Biochemical assessment of all isomers in vitro revealed that the C9 hydroxyl group and dimeric structure were both important for protein SUMOylation-inhibitory activity. 相似文献
