Poly(ether ether ketone)s containing alkyl groups were prepared by nucleophilic substitution reaction of alkyl-substituted difluoro diaryl ethers with hydroquinone or by electrophilic substitution reaction of alkyl-substituted diaryl ether with 4,4′-oxydibenzoic acid in PPMA. Polycondensations proceeded smoothly and produced polymers having inherent viscosities up to 0.5-–1.6 dL/g. The polymers were quite soluble in strong acid, dipolar aprotic solvents, and chloroform at room temperature. Thermogravimetry of the polymers showed excellent thermal stability, indicating that 10% weight loses of the polymers were observed in the range above 450°C in nitrogen atmosphere. The glass transition temperatures of the polymers ranged from 128 to 146°C. Furthermore, Polymer 3b functioned as a photosensitive resist of negative type for UV radiation. The resist had a sensitivity of 42 mJ/cm2 and a contrast of 2.5, when it was postbaked at 100°C for 10 min, followed by development with THF/acetone at room temperature. © 1996 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

A new isoelectric focusing (IEF) system for two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (2-D PAGE) has been proposed. In this system, a super-soft and tough IEF gel was achieved by casting polyacrylamide gel down to 2.0% T using a loose multifilament string (LMS) of nylon as a gel support. The IEF apparatus for the LMS-gel, fabricated from acrylic boards, had a cooling water chamber, and eliminated the need of electrode solutions by directly connecting the two ends of individual gels to platinum electrodes. The carrier ampholyte-generated pH gradients using the new IEF system was stable over a long duration of time and a wide range of voltages, and the IEF time became shorter using a 2.0% T gel than using a 4.0% T gel. Also, the LMS-gels prepared in different runs exhibited excellent reproducibility. The new IEF system was applied to 2-D PAGE of a chicken skeletal muscle extract, and it was found that the protein loading capacity, protein entry into the LMS-gels, and protein transfer efficiency from the first-dimensional to the second-dimensional gels were significantly improved by using a low-concentration (2.5% T) gel. Also, proteins of high molecular weight of more than 200 kDa were observed in the 2-D maps, and therefore the new IEF system has a very good potential to be applied for fast 2-D PAGE of high molecular-weight proteins.  相似文献

A lanthanum (La) coprecipitation method with low sample consumption was explored for the preconcentration of oxo-anion forming elements prior to a measurement by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The preconcentration procedure was composed of two main steps: (1) the formation of a coprecipitate with the lowest possible La and (2) the redissolution of target analytes with minimal use of nitric acid, and the elimination of high concentration La from the analysis sample. Each step was performed in a 25 mL-volume syringe to reduce the sample consumption and to avoid contamination from the experimental environment. Various parameters, such as the concentration and volume of La added into the sample solution, the precipitation pH, the aging time, and the volume of HNO(3) were optimized to obtain good recoveries and high detection sensitivities for V, As, Sb, and W, which could be hardly recovered by solid-phase extraction using a chelating resin. The obtained method was evaluated through the analysis of seawater reference materials (CASS-4 and NASS-5). The recoveries exceeded 80%, and the observed values were in good agreement with the certified values.  相似文献

The signals of dolphins and porpoises often exhibit a multi-pulse structure. Here, echolocation signal recordings were made from four geometrically distinct positions of seven Yangtze finless porpoises temporarily housed in a relatively small, enclosed area. Some clicks demonstrated double-pulse, and others multi-pulse, structure. The interpulse intervals between the first and second pulse of the double- and multi-pulse clicks were significantly different among data from the four different positions (p < 0.01, one-way ANOVA). These results indicate that the interpulse interval and structure of the double- and multi-pulse echolocation signals depend on the hydrophone geometry of the animal, and that the double- and multi-pulse structure of echolocation signals in Yangtze finless porpoise is not caused by the phonating porpoise itself, but by the multipath propagation of the signal. Time delays in the 180 degrees phase-shifted surface reflection pulse and the nonphase-shifted bottom reflection pulse of the multi-pulse structures, relative to the direct signal, can be used to calculate the distance to a phonating animal.  相似文献

The off-axis sonar beam patterns of eight free-ranging finless porpoises were measured using attached data logger systems. The transmitted sound pressure level at each beam angle was calculated from the animal's body angle, the water surface echo level, and the swimming depth. The beam pattern of the off-axis signals between 45 degrees and 115 degrees (where 0 degrees corresponds to the on-axis direction) was nearly constant. The sound pressure level of the off-axis signals reached 162 dB re 1 microPa peak-to-peak. The surface echo level received at the animal was over 140 dB, much higher than the auditory threshold level of small odontocetes. Finless porpoises are estimated to be able to receive the surface echoes of off-axis signals even at 50-m depth. Shallow water systems (less than 50-m depth) are the dominant habitat of both oceanic and freshwater populations of this species. Surface echoes may provide porpoises not only with diving depth information but also with information about surface direction and location of obstacles (including prey items) outside the on-axis sector of the sonar beam.  相似文献

This paper describes an improved method for the sequence analysis of Arg‐containing glycopeptide by MALDI mass spectrometry (MS). The method uses amino group derivatization (4‐aza‐6‐(2,6‐dimethyl‐1‐piperidinyl)‐5‐oxohexanoic acid N‐succinimidyl ester) and removal (carboxypeptidase B) or modification (peptidylarginine deiminase 4) of the arginine residue of the peptide. The derivatization attaches a basic tertiary amine moiety onto the peptides, and the enzymatic treatment removes or modifies the arginine residue. Fragmentation of the resulting glycopeptide under low‐energy collision‐induced dissociation yielded a simplified ion series of both the glycan and the peptide that can facilitate their sequencing. The feasibility of the method was studied using α1‐acid glycoprotein‐derived N‐linked glycopeptides, and glycan and peptide in each glycopeptide were successfully sequenced by MALDI tandem MS (MS/MS).
