For determining low level lithium concentrations in water, a neutron activation method based on the measurement of tritium radioactivity produced by6Li(n,)3H reaction has been developed. This method is specific and free from interference by other chemical elements. Using a low background liquid scintillation counter for tritium measurement, the detection limit is approximately 0.3 ppm during irradiation at a thermal neutron flux density of 1.1·107n·cm–2·s–1 for 6 hours by a small nuclear reactor and liquid scintillation counting for 2000 minutes 相似文献

Reaction of poly(vinyl chloride) with magnesium under various conditions was attempted, but poly(vinyl chloride) did not react with magnesium. The reactions of poly(vinyl chloride) with benzylmagnesium chloride and allylmagnesium chloride as Grignard reagents were carried out in tetrahydrofuran at reflux temperature. It was found that the chlorine atoms in the poly(vinyl chloride) were replaced by benzyl and allyl groups by the coupling reaction, and a small amount of Grignard reagent of poly(vinyl chloride) was formed by the magnesium–halogen exchange reaction. The extent of the substitution increased with increasing reaction time and concentration of the Grignard reagent. 相似文献

The effects of -cyclodextrin (-CyD), heptakis(2,6-di-O-methyl)--cyclodextrin (DMCyD) and heptakis(2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)--cyclodextrin (TMCyD) ontrans-cis photoisomerization of 1-ethyl-4-(4-hydroxystyryl)pyridinium (POH) have been studied in aqueous solutions. The ratio of [cis]/[trans] for POH in the photostationary state at pH 8.54 was remarkably reduced by the presence of CyD or DMCyD. ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: Sugar beet molasses is a viscous by-product of the processing of sugar beets into sugar. The molasses is known to contain sucrose and raffinose, a typical trisaccharide, with a well-established structure. Although sugar beet molasses contains various other oligosaccharides as well, the structures of those oligosaccharides have not been examined in detail. The purpose of this study was isolation and structural confirmation of these other oligosaccharides found in sugar beet molasses. RESULTS: Four oligosaccharides were newly isolated from sugar beet molasses using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and carbon-Celite column chromatography. Structural confirmation of the saccharides was provided by methylation analysis, matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionaization time of flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF-MS), and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) measurements. CONCLUSION: The following oligosaccharides were identified in sugar beet molasses: beta-D-galactopyranosyl-(1- > 6)-beta-D-fructofuranosyl-(2 <-> 1)-alpha-D-glucopyranoside (named beta-planteose), alpha-D-galactopyranosyl-(1- > 1)-beta-D-fructofuranosyl-(2 <-> 1)-alpha-D-glucopyranoside (named1-planteose), alpha-D-glucopyranosyl-(1- > 6)-alpha-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 <-> 2)-beta-D-fructofuranoside (theanderose), and beta-D-glucopyranosyl-(1- > 3)-alpha-D-glucopyranosyl-(1 <-> 2)-beta-D-fructofuranoside (laminaribiofructose). 1-planteose and laminaribiofructose were isolated from natural sources for the first time. 相似文献

Molecular assemblies that change photoluminescence color in response to thermal or mechanical stimulation without dissociation into the monomeric states in water are described herein. A dumbbell‐shaped amphiphilic compound forms micellar molecular assemblies in water and exhibits yellow photoluminescence derived from excimer formation of the luminescent core, which contains a 2,6‐diethynylanthracene moiety. Annealing of the aqueous solution induces a photoluminescence color change from yellow to green (λem, max=558→525 nm). The same photoluminescence color change is also achieved by rubbing the yellow‐photoluminescence‐emitting molecular assemblies adsorbed on glass substrates with cotton wool in water. The observed green photoluminescence is ascribed to micelles that are distinct from the yellow‐photoluminescence‐emitting micelles, on the basis of transmission electron microscopy observations, atomic force microscopy observations, and dynamic light scattering measurements. We examined the relationship between the structure of the molecular assemblies and the photophysical properties of the anthracene derivative in water before and after thermal or mechanical stimulation and concluded that thermal or mechanical stimuli‐induced slight changes of the molecular‐assembled structures in the micelles result in the change in the photoluminescence color from yellow to green in water. 相似文献
