The polymerization of styrene was carried out in a cyclohexane solution of natural rubber with stannic chloride. It was found that the grafting copolymerizations of styrene took place as well as the cyclization of rubber. The rate of polymerization of styrene was proportional to the second power of the concentration of styrene and to the concentrations of stannic chloride and natural rubber, respectively. The overall activation energy was about 6 kcal./mole. The percentage grafting increased with increasing concentration of rubber. On the other hand, the grafting efficiency showed the reverse tendency. The percentage grafting could be increased to 150% by the addition of nitrobenzene, a polar solvent.  相似文献

A simple spectrophotometric procedure is described for the determination of traces of mercury, with solubilized copper(II) dithizonate. Sample water containing 0.05–0.25 μg of mercury(II) is mixed with an aqueous solution of copper dithizonate containing Triton X-100 at pH 1 (H2SO4 ). After 5 min, dual-wavelength photometry is used to measure the difference in absorbances at 507 and 493 nm, which is proportional to the mercury concentration. The advantages are that no reagent blank is necessary and the equipment is simple. Few cations interfere; silver(I) and iron(III) can be masked by chloride and fluoride, respectively.  相似文献

6-Alkylthio- and 6-phenylthio-5H-benzo[a]phenothiazin-5-ones were prepared by the photochemical reaction of 5H-benzo[a]phenothiazin-5-one with alkylthiols and thiophenol. The structures of newly prepared compounds were determined by elemental analysis, spectroscopic methods (ir, nmr and ms) and comparison with a sample prepared by an alternate route.  相似文献

Binary mixtures of acetylacetone and 8-hydroxyquinoline chelates of copper(II), nickel(II), cobalt(II) and cobalt(III) were processed by zone-chromatography on columns of some naphthylalkyl ethers as inert solid solvents. The metal chelates were separated to give chromatograms on the columns according to the ratio of their distribution coefficients. Distribution coefficients of metal ions varied with the type of chelating agent used and the solid solvent, and were found to be strongly affected by operating conditions, especially zone length, zone travelling speed and initial concentration of the metal chelate.  相似文献

A neutron activation method based on the measurement of tritium radioactivity produced by6Li (n,)3H reaction was applied to determine the isotopic abundance of6Li in aqueous solution with known lithium concentration. Tritium radioactivity was measured with a low background liquid scintillation counter over a period of 2000 min. The present method demonstrated a good linearity between the isotopic abundance of6Li and tritium radioactivity produced per unit amount of lithium in a wide range of lithium concentration. A comparison of the present data with those from mass spectrometry showed agreement, though our method was 10 times less sensitive, than mass spectrometry. The present new approach should thus prove quite useful for determining the isotopic abundance of6Li.  相似文献

Ejectile nuclei in the fragmentation of intermediate-energy heavy-ion projectiles were found to be largely spin polarized. The observed polarization as a function of the outgoing momentum was nicely explained by a simple kinematical argument based on the participant-spectator model of projectile fragmentation. The measurements extended to cover several different targets, incident energies, exit channels, and emission angles revealed that substantial polarization shows up widely in projectile fragmentation reactions. Furthermore, this polarization exhibits an interesting behavior which may be interpreted as a manifestation of a gradual change in the deflection angle from positive to negative values as the energy increases and/or the target-Z decreases. The present polarization results also suggests various applications of spin polarized radioactive beams. As the first example of such an application, we present a recent result on theg-factor measurements on neutron-rich nuclei.  相似文献

In order to investigate the sedimentary behaviour of neptunium,237Np together with Pu isotopes and241Am have been measured for the sediment cores collected from Lake Mikata (freshwater) and from Lake Kugushi (brakish water) both belonging to the Mikata Five Lakes, and from Nyu Bay (sea water). In all sediment core samples237Np was detected, and its concentrations were far below those of239,240Pu and241Am measured for the same samples. Inventories of237Np in Lake Mikata, Lake Kugushi and Nyu Bay were estimated to be 0.53, 0.29 and 0.34 MBq/km2, respectively. The activity ratio of237Np/239,240Pu calculted from the inventories in each sediment core was 0.29% for Lake Mikata, 0.15% for Lake Kugushi and 0.10% for Nyu Bay. These values except for the value for Lake Mikata are two or three times lower than the value of 0.3–0.4% observed for surface soils of 0–20 cm depth, suggesting that Np is more soluble compared with Pu.  相似文献

Chemical leaching experiments of237Np in the sediments from the Esk Estuary and the Ribble Estuary in the Irish Sea, U. K., have been carried out, in comparison with those of239, 240Pu and241Am, to understand the geochemical associations of these long-lived radionuclides with sediment. Experimental results show that partitioning behavior of237Np is obviously different from those of239, 240Pu and241Am.  相似文献
