We analyzed the surface atomic structure of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) substrate exfoliated with adhesive tape, using high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy and scanning transmission electron microscopy‐electron energy‐loss spectroscopy (STEM‐EELS). The surface step height of the exfoliated HOPG substrate was determined using high‐angle annular dark‐field‐scanning transmission electron microscopy (HAADF‐STEM) images and the depth profiles of the EELS spectra of a cross‐sectioned thin foil specimen prepared via focused ion beam milling. The exfoliated surface of the HOPG substrate presented disordered and curved graphene layers. The STEM‐EELS measurements indicated that upon exfoliation, the surface of the HOPG substrate reacted with atmospheric water and oxygen molecules. 相似文献

The spontaneous unimolecular dissociation reaction of methyl lactate (1) ionized by electron impact was investigated by a combination of mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy spectrometry and deuterium labeling. The metastable ions 1+· decompose in a variety of ways: four fragment peaks are observed at m/z 89, 76, 61, and 45, which correspond to the losses of ?H3, CO, CH3?O, and ?OOCH3, respectively. Double hydrogen atom transfer occurs in the third reaction. The source-generated m/z 61 ions decompose into oxygen-protonated methanols at m/z 33 ([CH3OH 2 + ]) by the loss of CO with double hydrogen atom migration. Both hydroxyl and methyne hydrogen atoms in 1 +· are present in the resultant protonated methanols. 相似文献

A phosphinite derivative that can be easily prepared in two steps from commercially available aminoindanol was found to be an effective catalyst for enantioselective acylation of diols. Various β-lactones were prepared from β-hydroxycarboxylic acids by intramolecular dehydration condensation using MNBA, an effective coupling reagent, along with a nucleophilic catalyst. The transition state that provides the desired 4-membered ring model system is disclosed by density functional theory (DFT) calculations, and the structural features of the transition form are discussed.
