The crystal habit of fcc metal particles formed on an amorphous carbon film electrode in solution at different electrode
potentials is discussed. The fcc metal particles have different crystallographic habits depending on applied electrode potential;
that is, icosahedral and/or decahedral particles are formed at lower potentials, and fcc single-crystalline or polycrystalline
particles at higher potentials. It was found that decahedra and icosahedra of Cu-Au alloy particles are formed in the potential
region of underpotential deposition (UPD) of Cu at which only fcc Au single-crystalline particles and Au polycrystalline particles
appear. This is attributed to the charge transfer from the UPD Cu ions to the Au overlayer of Cu-Au alloy particles. The formation
of decahedral and icosahedral Cu-Au alloy particles depends on the composition of the Cu-Au alloy. On the basis of these results
it was deduced that the contraction of the surface lattice of the growing particles is responsible for the formation of icosahedral
and decahedral particles.

Hydroalumination, hydrocupration, and hydroboration reactions of various fluorine-containing alkynes were investigated. The alkyne reacted smoothly with 2.0 equiv. of Red-Al at −78 °C to give the hydroaluminated adduct in a highly regio- and stereoselective manner, which was treated with iodine, the corresponding vinyliodide being produced in moderate yield. Hydrocupration of the alkynes also took place, but the resulting vinylmetal reacted with various electrophiles sluggishly. In sharp contrast, the reaction with dicyclohexylborane proceeded smoothly to afford the cis-addition products preferentially, which were subjected to Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reaction, leading to trisubstituted alkenes in high yields. 相似文献

A series of bridged [7]thiaheterohelicenes 3a-c and 4 with a variety of helical pitches have been prepared from racemic and optical pure 2,13-bis(hydroxymethyl)dithieno[3,2-e:3',2'-e']benzo[1,2-b:4,3-b']bis[1]benzothiophene (1) in order to investigate the helical structures in solution. Recrystallizations of (PM)-3a, (PM)-3b, (PM)-3c, and (P)-4 from hexane-dichloromethane gave crystals suitable for X-ray crystallography, while recrystallization of (PM)-4 with benzene gave an inclusion complex with a stoichiometry of (PM-4)(4).(C(6)H(6)). X-ray analyses of (PM)-3a-c, (PM-4)(4).(C(6)H(6)), and (P)-4 indicate that the dihedral angles between terminal thiophene rings of the helical framework significantly vary from 22 degrees for 4 to 59 degrees for 3c. This represents as increase of 37 degrees or 168%. Although the (13)C NMR and UV absorption spectra of bridged helicenes 3a-c and unbridged helicene 5 are essentially the same, the molar rotation of 5 is very large compared with those of 3a-c and 4. A red shift (15 nm) in the circular dichroism (CD) spectrum is observed for 4, suggesting that this compound is more planar than 3a-c in solution. This paper describes the loss and recovery in the hydrophobicity of unfilled high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber (HTV-SR) resulting from corona discharge. In this study, HTV-SR specimens were exposed to corona stress generated by a parallel needle-plane electrode system, and physicochemical analyses on the surface layer of SR before and after corona discharge treatment were carried out by using Fourier transform infra-red (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It is demonstrated that hydrophilic OH groups that are by-products of ageing can be formed instead of hydrophobic CH3 groups on the surface of aged SR and the corona discharge plays an important role on the temporary loss of hydrophobicity. After a substantial period of ‘rest’, the hydrophobic recovery of SR results from the diffusion of low-molecular weight (LMW) silicone fluid from the bulk onto the aged layer. 相似文献

The thermal decomposition of vinylacetylene (C4H4) was studied behind reflected shock waves using both a single-pulse method (reaction time between 0.8 and 3.3 ms) and a time-resolved UV-absorption method (230 nm). The studies were done over the temperature range of 1170–1690 K at the total pressure range of 1.3–2.3 atm. The mechanism was used to interpret both the early and late stages of vinylacetylene decomposition at the high temperatures. It was confirmed that C4H4 dissociation proceeded through the following three channels. The rate constant expression of reaction (1) was determined as k1 = 6.3 × 1013 exp(?87.1 kcal/RT) s?1. The rate constants of the succeeding reactions (chain reaction, C4H4 + H → i-C4H3 + H2 and C4H4 + H → C2H2 + C2H3 and decomposition reactions of free radicals, i-C4H3 + M → C4H2 + H + M) were confirmed or estimated. © John Wiley & Sons, Inc. 相似文献

Manganese and molybdenum mixed oxides in a thin film form were deposited anodically on a platinum substrate by cycling the electrode potential between 0 and +1.0 V vs Ag/AgCl in aqueous manganese(II) solutions containing molybdate anion (MoO(4)2-). A possible mechanism for the film formation is as follows. First, electrooxidation of Mn2+ ions with H2O yields Mn oxide and protons. Then, the protons being accumulated near the electrode surface react with MoO(4)2- to form polyoxomolybdate through a dehydrated condensation reaction (by protonation and dehydration). The condensed product coprecipitates with the Mn oxide. Cyclic voltammetry of the Mn/Mo oxide film-coated electrode in aqueous 0.5 M Na2SO4 solution exhibited a pseudocapacitive behavior with higher capacitance and better rate capability than that of the pure Mn oxide prepared similarly, most likely as a result of an increase in electrical conductivity of the film. Electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy clearly demonstrated that the observed pseudocapacitive behavior results from reversible extraction/insertion of hydrated protons to balance the charge upon oxidation/reduction of Mn3+/Mn4+ in the film. 相似文献

Di- and tri-substituted [(4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran-7-yl)oxy]acetic acids, and 4-oxo-3-phenyl-4H-furo[2,3-h]-[1]benzopyran-8-carboxylic acid were synthesized and tested for natriuretic and uricosuric activities. Among the compounds tested, 3,5-disubstituted [(4-oxo-4H-1-benzopyran-7-yl)oxy]acetic acids (6c-f, h, n and x) showed potent natriuretic and uricosuric activities, whereas 4-oxo-3-phenyl-4H-furo[2,3-h][1]benzopyran-8-carboxylic acid (6dd) possessed only potent natriuretic activity.
