This article presents a detailed study on the conditions for achieving a stable biocatalyst to be used in the production of ethanol from starch. Different pellets were used depending on which characteristic of the biocatalyst was being studied: (a) Saccharomyces cerevisiae entrapped in pectin or calcium alginate gel particles; (b) silica containing immobilized glucoamylase entrapped in pectin gel particles; or (c) pectin gel particles, with the silicaenzyme derivative and yeast coimmobilized. The influence of several variables on the mechanical resistance of the particle, on the viability of the microorganism, and on the rate of substrate hydrolysis was studied with biocatalyst. The best conditions found were 6% pectin gel, 2-mm particle diameter, and curein 0.2 M CaCl2·2H2O/60 mM acetate buffer, pH 4.2, for gel preparation; and 6.0 g/L of CaCl2·2H2O in the fermentation medium. Biocatalyst (c) was successfully tested for the production of ethanol from liquefield manioc flour syrup.  相似文献

Metal-ion complexation of 7-benzylimidazo[1,2-a]pyrazin-3(7H)-one derivative (2) with Li+, Mg2+, Ca2+, Ba2+, Sc3+, and La3+ in acetonitrile resulted in successive modulations of its UV/vis absorption and fluorescence spectroscopic properties. This result indicates that 2 can be used as a colorimetric and fluorometric sensor of the Lewis acidity of a metal ion in aprotic solutions. The hypothesis that the metal-ion complex has a O10(imidazopyrazinone)-metal ion bond was supported by X-ray crystallographic analysis and quantum chemical calculations for a Li+ complex of 7-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyrazin-3(7H)-one derivative (1).  相似文献

A new molecular dynamics simulation method was successfully applied to construct a homogeneous organic-inorganic hybrid silica membrane using the hybrid-pcff (h-pcff) potential function. Analysis suggested that the hybrid BTESE silica membrane provided a looser network and larger cavity size for the enhancement of gas permeability and selectivity.  相似文献

Epitaxial growth and electron doping of 12CaO·7Al2O3 (C12A7) and 12SrO·7Al2O3 (S12A7) are reported. The C12A7 films were prepared on Y3Al5O12 (YAG) single-crystal substrates by pulsed laser deposition at room temperature and subsequent thermal crystallization. X-ray diffraction patterns revealed the films were grown epitaxially with the orientation relationship of (001)[100] C12A7 || (001)[100] YAG. For S12A7, pseudo-homoepitaxial growth was attained on the C12A7 epitaxial layer. Upon electron doping, metallic conduction was achieved in the C12A7 film and the S12A7/C12A7 double-layered films. Analyses of optical absorption spectra for the S12A7/C12A7 films provided the densities of free electrons in each layer separately. Hall measurements exhibited larger electron mobility in the S12A7/C12A7 film than those in C12A7 and S12A7 films, suggesting free electrons may be accumulated at the S12A7/C12A7 interface due presumably to a discontinuity of the cage conduction bands.  相似文献

The ground and low-lying excited states of CoCN have been studied by ab initio multireference single and double excitation configuration interaction (MR-SDCI) calculations with Davidson's correction Q and Cowan-Griffin's relativistic corrections. The electronic ground state of CoCN is (3)Phi(i) and the equilibrium geometry is linear with bond lengths of r(e)(Co-C)=1.8540 A and r(e)(C-N)=1.1677 A, substantially different from the experimentally derived values of r(0)(Co-C)=1.8827(7) A and r(0)(C-N)=1.1313(10) A. The first excited state is (3)Delta(i), separated from the ground state by 727 cm(-1). Larger dynamical electron correlation energy for the low-spin (3)Phi state than for the high-spin (5)Phi state makes the (3)Phi state to be the ground state, which is discussed in terms of the differences in natural orbitals. A new spin-orbit interaction scheme between the X (3)Phi(i) and 1 (3)Delta(i) states is proposed.  相似文献

Guest‐induced M18L6–M24L8 capsule–capsule conversion is reported. Both capsules are composed of PdII ethylenediamine units (M) and 1,3,5‐tris(3,5‐pyrimidyl)pyrimidine (L), and form trigonal bipyramidal (M18L6) and octahedral (M24L8) closed‐shell structures with huge hydrophobic inner spaces. The M18L6 trigonal bipyramid is converted to the M24L8 octahedron through encapsulation of large aromatic guests, with the latter capsule possessing a cavity volume three times larger than the former. Despite the dynamic properties of the capsule host, the encapsulated guests are difficult to extract and are thus isolated from the external environment.  相似文献

Self‐assembled coordination cages can be employed as a molecular press, where the bowl‐shaped guest corannulene (C20H10) is significantly flattened upon inclusion within the hydrophobic cavity. This is demonstrated by the pairwise inclusion of corannulene with naphthalene diimide as well as by the dimer inclusion of bromocorannulene inside the box‐like host. The compressed corannulene structures are unambiguously revealed by single‐crystal X‐ray analysis.  相似文献
