Adsorption of d-alaninol on Cu(1 0 0) at room temperature has been investigated by photoelectron spectroscopy in the soft X-ray and VUV energy range and low energy electron diffraction (LEED). d-Alaninol was found by LEED to self-assemble at full coverage; core and valence photoemission spectra are presented at low and full coverage. Chemisorption occurs at room temperature. The bonding at low coverage takes place at the hydroxylic group; at full coverage there is evidence of bonding for both hydroxylic and amino groups.  相似文献

Motivic integration [M. Kontsevich, Motivic integration, Lecture at Orsay, 1995] and MacPherson's transformation [R. MacPherson, Chern classes for singular varieties, Ann. of Math. 100 (1974) 423-432] are combined in this paper to construct a theory of “stringy” Chern classes for singular varieties. These classes enjoy strong birational invariance properties, and their definition encodes data coming from resolution of singularities. The singularities allowed in the theory are those typical of the minimal model program; examples are given by quotients of manifolds by finite groups. For the latter an explicit formula is proven, assuming that the canonical line bundle of the manifold descends to the quotient. This gives an expression of the stringy Chern class of the quotient in terms of Chern-Schwartz-MacPherson classes of the fixed-point set data.  相似文献

In this paper, we give a more direct proof of the results by Clair and Mokhtari-Sharghi [B. Clair, S. Mokhtari-Sharghi, Zeta functions of discrete groups acting on trees, J. Algebra 237 (2001) 591-620] on the zeta functions of periodic graphs. In particular, using appropriate operator-algebraic techniques, we establish a determinant formula in this context and examine its consequences for the Ihara zeta function. Moreover, we answer in the affirmative one of the questions raised in [R.I. Grigorchuk, A. ?uk, The Ihara zeta function of infinite graphs, the KNS spectral measure and integrable maps, in: V.A. Kaimanovich, et al. (Eds.), Proc. Workshop, Random Walks and Geometry, Vienna, 2001, de Gruyter, Berlin, 2004, pp. 141-180] by Grigorchuk and ?uk. Accordingly, we show that the zeta function of a periodic graph with an amenable group action is the limit of the zeta functions of a suitable sequence of finite subgraphs.  相似文献

We consider the system of moments associated with the relativistic Boltzmann-Chernikov equation. Using the particular symmetric form obtained by the closure procedure of Extended Thermodynamics we deduce a lower bound for the maximum velocity of wave propagation in terms of the number of moments for a non-degenerate gas. When the number of moments increases this velocity tends to the speed of light. We also give the lower bound estimate in the limit cases of ultrarelativistic fluids and in the non relativistic approximation. Received September 28, 1998  相似文献

This paper presents an evaluation of the results obtained from an initial study carried out at the IBMB, Technical University of Braunschweig, on the influence of temperature on adhesively bonded plate-concrete joint systems. The results of a theoretical model are also presented. The type of specimen used in this study is a three-point bending beam. The concrete specimens were prismatic in form, 100 × 100 × 700 mm without an internal steel reinforcement, strengthened at the intradoss with two types of UD CFRP lamina 20 mm wide and 590 mm long of thickness 1.4 mm for the E = 300 GPa type and 1.24 mm for the E = 175 GPa type. The plate-bonded specimens were designed to produce bending failure under a load, by not bonding the lamina and the concrete around the midspan of the specimens. The specimens were tested to failure at –100°, –30°, and +40°C after an approximately homogeneous temperature distribution within the concrete specimen has been reached. For comparison only, specimens of the same type were tested to failure at room temperature. The results obtained showed varying behavior of the bonded plate-concrete joint depending on variations in temperature. Furthermore, they showed different failure mechanisms. Greater reductions in the ultimate bond force were recorded for the test specimens strengthened with lamina having a high elastic modulus. A reasonable correlation was found between the experimental and theoretical results.  相似文献

Fast 3D PIV with direct sparse cross-correlations   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The extension of the well-assessed high-accuracy algorithms for two-dimensional-two components particle image velocimetry (PIV) to the case of three-dimensional (3D) data involves a considerable increase of the computational cost. Tomographic PIV is strongly affected by this issue, relying on 3D cross-correlation to estimate the velocity field. In this study, a number of solutions are presented, enabling a more efficient calculation of the velocity field without any significant loss of accuracy. A quick estimation of the predictor displacement field is proposed, based on voxels binning in the first steps of the process. The corrector displacement field is efficiently computed by restricting the search area of the correlation peak. In the initial part of the process, the calculation of a reduced cross-correlation map by using Fast Fourier Transform on blocks is suggested, in order to accelerate the processing by avoiding redundant calculations in case of overlapping interrogations windows. Eventually, direct cross-correlations with a search radius of only 1?pixel in the neighborhood of the estimated peak are employed; the final iterations are consistently faster, since direct correlations can better enjoy the sparsity of the distributions, reducing the number of operations to be performed. Furthermore, three different approaches to reduce the number of redundant calculations for overlapping windows are presented, based on pre-calculations of the contributions to the cross-correlations coefficients along segments, planes or blocks. The algorithms are tested both on synthetic and real images, showing that a potential speed-up of up to 800 times can be obtained, depending on the complexity of the flow field to be analyzed. The challenging application on a real swirling jet results in a speed-up of an order of magnitude.  相似文献

Particle image velocimetry experiments have been carried out to obtain visualizations and measurements of the main and secondary flow fields in a square channel with a sharp “U” turn. Both the main and the secondary flow fields have been used to perform a 3D reconstruction of the mean flow and vortical fields in the turn region and in the outlet duct. In order to study the influence of the rotation, tests both in stationary (absence of rotation, Re = 20,000) and in rotating (Re = 20,000 and Ro = 0.3) conditions have been performed. The results show that the Coriolis and centrifugal forces, caused by the rotation, yield strong modifications to the symmetrical flow and vortical fields that are generated, in the static case, only by the abrupt inversion of the flow direction.  相似文献

The first results from measuring the spectra of solar neutrons with energies of ~10–1000 MeV in the solar flares of 2006–2015 observed by the PAMELA international space experiment are presented. The PAMELA neutron detector with 3He counters and a moderator with an area of 0.18 m2 allows us to estimate the flux of solar neutrons during solar flares. Solar neutrons with energies of ~10–1000 MeV likely occurred in 21 out of the 24 analyzed flares of 2006–2015.  相似文献
