The forgetting of the initial distribution for discrete Hidden Markov Models (HMM) is addressed: a new set of conditions is proposed, to establish the forgetting property of the filter, at a polynomial and geometric rate. Both a pathwise-type convergence of the total variation distance of the filter started from two different initial distributions, and a convergence in expectation are considered. The results are illustrated using different HMM of interest: the dynamic tobit model, the nonlinear state space model and the stochastic volatility model.  相似文献

The Fermi surface topology of the shape-memory alloy Ni0.62Al0.38 has been determined using Compton scattering. A large area of this Fermi surface can be made to nest with other areas by translation through a vector of approximately 0.18[1,1,0](2pi/a), which corresponds to the wave vector associated with martensitic precursor phenomena such as phonon softening and diffuse streaking in electron diffraction patterns. This observation is compelling evidence that these phenomena are driven by the enhanced electron-lattice coupling due to the Fermi surface nesting.  相似文献

Collision-induced dissociation of metal-cationized N-CBZ-Gly-Pro-Gly-Pro-Ala was studied by Fourier transform mass spectrometry. Lithium-, sodium-, potassium- and rubidium-cationized peptide species were generated by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) using 2,5-dihydroxybenzoic acid as matrix, together with appropriate metal salts. The experimental mass spectrometric results were interpreted with the aid of Monte Carlo conformational searches using the Amber(*) force field, together with ab initio molecular orbital calculations with Gaussian-94 for the singly lithium- and potassium-cationized peptides. It is concluded that metal coordination plays a key role in guiding the gas-phase fragmentation of the cationized peptide. In contrast to lithium and sodium, potassium and rubidium apparently do not coordinate to the C-terminal carbonyl. When the peptide is cationized with the two smaller alkali metals, losses corresponding to alanine and CBZ are observed, while the coordination of potassium and rubidium results in only CBZ loss upon dissociation.  相似文献

Ion channeling spectra of as-grown CuInTe2 single crystals are measured using a 2 MeV 4He+ analysing beam. It is found that the measured minimum yields cannot be explained within a model of randomly distributed non-interacting point defects caused by deviations from ideal stoichiometry. A model with extended defects due to vacancy clustering and dislocation formation is proposed to interprete the experimental results.  相似文献

An investigation was performed to establish the effects of surface topography on the determination of stress intensity factors of opaque components using the method of caustics. Theoretical predictions of caustics produced by curved surfaces were generated and validated by experiment. The errors introduced for stress intensity factors determined at various radii of curvature were assessed. It was found that relatively small surface curvatures caused significant errors in the stress intensity factor. These errors were affected by the initial radius, load and material properties.  相似文献
