Die Pentafluoro-orthoselen- und -orthotellurgruppe,eine 19F-Kernresonanzuntersuchung

A ¹⁹F-NMR Study of the (Pentafluoro)orthoselenium and -tellurium Group In ¹⁹F-nmr the (pentafluoro)orthoselenium and (pentafluoro)orthotellurium groups show characteristic AB₄ spectra. Chemical shifts give information about the different bondings. The axial fluori ne atom is often more influenced, a certain trans effect may be discussed. The values of is otopic splittings, coming from ⁷⁷Se agree with these observations, isotopic splittings from ¹²³Te und ¹²⁵Te are much less important. Comparison is done with selected compounds containing a (pentafluoro)orthosulphur group.     

Neue Wege der Analytik durch Kombination der direkten quantitativen Dünnschicht-Chromatographie mit elektronischer Datenverarbeitung

A computer program for direct evaluation of thin-layer chromatograms, which already was described earlier [3] has been tested with a laboratory and some technical formulations of a pesticide. Results have been compared with those obtained by two conventional methods. Mean relative standard deviation calculated from results compiled by electronic data processing (method A) is about 6%, compared to 10% received by graphic method (method C) which is employed by most investigators. In addition, overall time of analysis is 34% higher if graphic method is used. Method A saves time and expense especially in routine analysis because working of the process is easier and may be performed even by assistent personal. The proposed method is suitable for the determination of different active ingredients and impurities even in difficult technical products.

Electrolytic methoxylation of 3,4-bis(hydroxymethyl) furan and synthesis of 4,5-bis-(hydroxymethyl) pyridazine

3,4-Bis(hydroxymethyl)furan was electrolytically methoxylated during intense cooling. 4,5-Bis(hydroxymethyl)pyridazine was obtained by reaction of the methoxylation product — 2,5-dimethoxy-3,4-bis (hydroxymethyl)-2,5-dihydrofuran — with hydrazine hydrate.Translated from Khimiya Geterotsiklicheskikh Soedinenii, No. 10, pp. 1306–1307, October, 1970.
