3-Allyloxy-2-hydroxypropylcelluloses (AHP-celluloses), reactive unsaturated cellulose derivatives, were homogeneously synthesized
by the reaction of cellulose with allyl glycidyl ether (AGE) in NaOH/urea aqueous solution. Water-soluble AHP-celluloses with
DSNMR = 0.32–0.67 were prepared from microcrystalline cellulose. The degree of substitution (DS) of AHP-celluloses could be controlled
by varying the molar ratio of AGE and NaOH to AGU and the reaction conditions. The structure of AHP-cellulose samples were
characterized by means of FT-IR, NMR spectroscopy and size exclusion chromatography. The cellulose ether shows thermoreversible
flocculation. Bromination reactions were carried out as subsequent functionalization both to illustrate the reactivity of

The 183.038 nm resonance absorption transition of I(2P3/2) has been studied using a flash photolysis set-up for gas-phase chemistry and a radio frequency powered electrodeless discharge lamp filled with iodine. The dependence of self-absorption and self-reversal on iodine partial pressure in the discharge volume was measured. The optimum iodine partial pressure, with self-absorption minimized and acceptable intensity, is determined to be approximately 2.5×10−3 mbar. A method is described to estimate the temperature of the emitting atoms using direct measurements of relative absorption at different absorber concentrations. This yields an emission temperature of 923±50 K. Using this temperature, the oscillator strength for the I(2P3/2) transition at 183.038 nm is determined to be f=(3.87±0.57)×10−3, corresponding to an absorption cross-section at the center of the line of σ=(5.42±0.8)×10−14 cm2 atom−1. This shows a difference from one of two earlier measurements, but is close to the other. The remaining difference from the latter measurement is probably due to tendencies of opposite biases inherent to the experiments. 相似文献

In this article, we describe the unique fragmentations of oligodeoxynucleotides (ODNs) whose phosphate groups are completely depleted of protons and replaced with metal ions. The production of the ubiquitous [a(n) - base] ions still occurs, but no longer by transfer of an acidic phosphate proton to an adjoining 3' base. Nor is the extent of the reaction determined by the proton affinity of that base. Rather, the reaction now occurs via a cleavage 3' to both pyrimidines and purines; cleavage 3' to pyrimidine is more favorable than that 3' to purine. We also demonstrate that an ODN is more stable in the gas phase when its phosphate groups are bound to metal ions than when its phosphate groups are attached to hydrogens. This study also provides further evidence for the ODN fragmentation mechanism that involves H transfer to a nucleobase. To establish the structural utility of this new fragmentation, we applied it to distinguishing small ODNs containing a photomodified cis,syn-cyclobutane pyrimidine dimer from the parent ODNs, a system that cannot be distinguished by collisional activation of precursor species that do not contain metal ions. 相似文献

This article reports another step in an ongoing effort to understand the fragmentation of T-rich oligodeoxynucleotides. We extended an earlier investigation of T-rich 4-mers to T-rich 6-mers, 8-mers and 10-mers by using four different tandem mass spectrometric methods. The methods include low-energy collisionally activated decomposition (CAD) of electrospray ionization (ESI)-produced ions, source-CAD of ESI-produced ions, post-source decay (PSD), and CAD of matrix assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI)-generated ions. The most abundant fragment ions produced from [M - 2H]2- precursors upon low-energy CAD in an ion trap are the [a - B]- and their complementary w ions. The predominant cleavage sites for T-rich oligodeoxynucleotides are always the 3' C-O bonds adjoining a non-T nucleobase (i.e., a base with a higher proton affinity (PA) than that of T). The relative abundance of [a - B]- correlates with the PAs of the nucleobases, underscoring the importance of proton transfer to the base. The propensity to form [a - B]- ions falls in the order of G > C approximately A > T. Structural isomers up to 10-mers can be readily sequenced and distinguished with each of the four tandem mass spectrometric methods applied. The fragmentation of oligodeoxynucleotides in which various phosphates were replaced with methylphosphonate is a measure of the participation of the phosphate proton in the formation of [a - B] ions. For 4 and 5-mers, transfer of an acidic proton from the 5'-phosphate to the departing base is the initiating step in the formation of [a - B]- ions. 相似文献

Presented herein is a general protocol for the alkylation of simple aryl fluorides with unbiased secondary Grignard reagents by means of nickel catalysis. This study revealed a general Thorpe–Ingold effect in the ligand backbone which confers a high degree of selectivity for the secondary carbon center in the C?C coupling event. This protocol is characterized by mild reaction conditions, robustness, and simplicity. Both electron‐rich and electron‐deficient aryl fluorides are suitable candidates in this transformation. Equally amenable are a variety of heterocycles, permitting the coupling without over alkylation at the electrophilic sites. 相似文献
