Abstract— The mechanisms by which 4-substituted 2,6-di- t -butylphenols are oxygenated by base- and Co(II) Schiff base complex-catalysis into o - or p -peroxyquinols and their Co(III) complexes, respectively, have been investigated. For the base-catalyzed oxygenation, a one-step ionic mechanism involving no radical species is suggested to be the most probable one. For the formation of the peroxycobalt(III) complexes, the following stoichiometry is concluded: ArOH + Co(II) + 5/4 O2→ peroxycobalt(III) complex + 1/2 H2O. A mechanism involving an electron transfer between the phenols and the Co(II)-O2 complex followed by further electron transfer between the formed phenoxy radicals and the Co(II) complex to give the corresponding phenolate anions is proposed.  相似文献

Poly(1,4-dimethyl-6-vinylnaphthalene) and poly(1,2,4-trimethyl-6-vinylnaphthalene) react with singlet oxygen to give corresponding endoperoxide polymers which on warming generate singlet oxygen efficiently. Singlet oxygenations by the use of these polymers have been described.  相似文献

Thephotochemical reaction of [3(3)](1,3,5)cyclophane 2, which is a photoprecursor for the formation of propella[3(3)]prismane 18, was studied using a sterilizing lamp (254 nm). Upon photolysis in dry and wet CH2Cl2 or MeOH in the presence of 2 mol/L aqueous HCl solution, the cyclophane 2 afforded novel cage compounds comprised of new skeletons, tetracyclo[6.3.1.0.(2,7)0(4,11)]dodeca-5,9-diene 43, hexacyclo[6.4.0.0.(2,6)0.(4,11)0.(5,10)0(9,12)]dodecane 44, and pentacyclo[6.4.0.0.(2,6)0.(4,11)0(5,10)]dodecane 45. All of these products were confirmed by the X-ray structural analyses. A possible mechanism for the formation of these photoproducts via the hexaprismane derivative 18 is proposed. The photophysical properties in the excited state of the [3n]cyclophanes ([3n]CP, n = 2-6) were investigated by measuring the emission spectra and determining the quantum yields and lifetimes of the fluorescence. All [3n]CPs show excimeric fluorescence without a monomeric one. The lifetime of the excimer fluorescence becomes gradually longer with the increasing number of the trimethylene bridges. The [3n]CPs also shows excimeric phosphorescence spectra without vibrational structures for n = 2, 4, and 5, while phosphorescence is absent for n = 3 and 6. With an increase in symmetry of the benzene skeleton in the [3(3)]- and [3(6)]CPs, the probability of the radiation (phosphorescence) process from the lowest triplet state may drastically decrease.  相似文献

Chip-to-world interface is a major issue in the field of microfluidics and its applications. We developed a plug and play microfluidic device composed of a fluid driving unit and a polymer chip containing microfluidic channels and reservoirs. The one and only connection of the device to the external world is a set of electric control lines for the driving unit. Just putting the reagents and samples onto the reservoirs, the chip can be operated for chemical or biochemical reaction and analysis. We demonstrate here that silicon-based micropumps embedded in the present device allow us to achieve flexible fluidic manipulations with minimum time delay and dead volume.  相似文献

Improving the performance of non-viral gene-delivery vehicles that consist of synthetic compounds and nucleic acids is a key to successful gene therapy. Supplementing synthetic vehicles with various biological functions by using natural or artificial peptides is a promising approach with which to achieve this goal. One of the obstacles hindering this effort is that some of the potentially useful peptides, especially those with many basic amino acid residues, interfere with the formation of the complex owing to strong electrostatic interactions with the nucleic acid. In this review, we describe our recent work in examining the potential of these peptides in gene delivery, using a recombinant lambda phage particle as the model for the gene-delivery complex. Lambda phage encapsulates large duplex DNA in a rigid polyplex-like shell with a diameter of 55 nm, and can display various peptides on this capsid, independently of particle formation. By examining the expression of marker genes encapsulated in the phage capsid, we have demonstrated that the protein transduction domain of HIV Tat protein and the nuclear localization signal derived from SV40 T antigen can remarkably facilitate the delivery of these marker genes across the two major barriers, the cell membrane and the nuclear membrane, respectively. Our results indicate that these basic peptides can constitute effective components of synthetic gene-transfer complexes, as long as sufficient copies are displayed on the outer surface of the complex.  相似文献

Two series of new Cu(II) complexes derived from the reaction of copper acetate with the non-linear 1,2,3-triazole-based Schiff bases have successfully been synthesised. The structures of the ligands and its complexes were elucidated by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H-NMR and UV–visible spectroscopic techniques. The differential scanning calorimetry and polarizing optical microscopy supported the anisotropic properties of uncoordinated ligands in which the focal conic fan-shaped texture and/or broken fan-shaped texture characteristics of respective SmA and SmC phases were recorded. However, not all of their corresponding Cu(II) complexes are mesogenic. Although the iodo-substituted ligands with even parity C10H29 to C14H33 are non-stable and exhibit SmA phase which is not reproducible, the ultimate Cu(II) complexes show exclusively stable SmA phase. This observation can be ascribed to the enhanced colinearity and molecular anisotropic by the presence of Cu-N and Cu-O coordination modes. On the other hand, the comparison studies show that different positions of ortho-hydroxyl group affect the mesomorphic and thermal behaviour of ligands and Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

Two novel redox-active 1,3-dithiole (DT) ring-fused 4,5-diazafluorene ligands with crown ether moieties (L1 and L2) were synthesized and characterized. The crystal structure of L1 was studied.
