The microbisporicins are the most potent lantibiotics isolated to-date. Cyclic tetra-, hexa- and octapeptides, inspired by this family of antimicrobial agents, have been synthesized from linear peptides. Generalized reaction conditions are reported for the two-step conversion of linear peptides to thioether macrocycles: formation of a disulfide followed by reductive desulfurization. 1H NMR analysis of the reduction reaction mixture indicated the intermediacy of a dehydroalanine when excess hexamethylphosphorus triamide (HMPT) was employed for the reduction. Maintaining a stoichiometric amount of HMPT, in dilute methanolic solution, gave the corresponding thioethers, retaining stereochemical integrity. 相似文献

A simple, sensitive and selective method for the determination of benzydamine in human plasma and urine, and for benzydamine N-oxide in urine, has been developed using high-performance liquid chromatography in the reversed-phase mode. The limit of reliable determination of benzydamine in plasma was 0.5 ng/ml and that in urine 1 ng/ml; the limit of reliable determination of benzydamine N-oxide in urine was 50 ng/ml. The method has been successfully applied to the analysis of these compounds in biological fluids after administration of intravenous and oral doses of benzydamine to human volunteers. 相似文献

Preliminary studies are reported on the film forming characteristics of compounds such as dialkyldimethylammonium-M (dmit)2 and dialkyldimethylammonium-M (mnt)2 where M = Ni, Pt or Pd. All materials investigated show good monolayer behaviour and deposit readily onto evaporated aluminium or gold films. This is confirmed by surface potential and FTIR measurements. The lateral conductivity of deposited films increases by many orders of magnitude when exposed to bromine vapour. 相似文献

A series of substituted 2-azadiene systems has been prepared and characterized by reactivity, structure, and photoelectron-spectroscopic studies. An attempt has been made to employ photo-electron spectroscopy as a tool for predicting sites of chemical reactivity for these azadiene systems. Copolymerization studies of cationic monomers have been reported in the literature to yield wide variations in reactivity ratios and Q–e values, depending on the comonomer and the nature of the solvent. In this work are presented the copolymerization characteristics of a variety of vinylimidazolium salts in both water and ethanol solution. From these studies, the effect of solvent polarity, of substitution at the imidazolium 2-position, of the type of counterion, and of the hydrophilic–hydrophobic character of the monomeric salts could be ascertained. The main fragmentation of the compounds MX3-noxn (oxH=8-quinolinol. n = 3; M=AL, Ga, In, Sc, Cr or Fe. n = 2; M=In or Fe; X=Cl or Br. InIox2. n = 1; M=AL, In or Fe; X= Cl or Br) involves loss of X and intact ox. radicals. The comparative abundances of the fragments are primarily related to the common oxidation states of the metals. For example, all the Mox3 compounds show the ions [Mox3]+ and [Mox2]+. The ions [Mox]+ and [M]+ are present when M=Ga, In, Cr or Fe but for the elements with only one oxidation state (Al or Sc) [M]+ is absent and [Mox]+ has only very low abundance. When M= Cr or Fe metal-containing ions arising from loss of species such as CO, H2O, HX, C2H2, H and OH by fragmentation of the ox ligand are also present; this behaviour is rationalised in terms of the ability of these metals to undergo a unit change in oxidation state. When n=1 the ions [MXox2]+ and [Mox2]+ and when n= 2 the ions [MX2ox]+ and [Mox3]+ are present; these ions arise by ionization and fragmentation of species formed by redistribution reactions in the mass spectrometer. 相似文献

Luminescence from aromatic hydrocarbon-olefin and -diene exciplexes, providing strong evidence for their intermediary in singlet quenching processes, is reported. Solvent dependence of the emission maximum gives a value of 10.8D for the dipole moment of the 1-cyanonaphthalene-1,2-dimethylcyclopentene exciplex while the temperature dependence affords a value of 6.7 kcal/M for the heat of formation. Linear-free-energy correlations of rate constants for 1-cyanonaphthalene and naphthalene fluorescence quenching by dienes and olefins and strained hydrocarbons with the adiabatic ionization potentials of the quenchers are consistent with major contributions from charge-resonance in the exciplex formation process. 相似文献

2-[2-(5-Bromopyridyl)azol-4,5-dimethylphenol (BrPDMP) and 2-[2-benzothiazolylazo)-5-dimethylaminophenol (BTADAP) have been synthesised and compared, as reagents for cadmium, with the related dyes BrPADAP and BTDMP. The new dyes both form stable highly coloured 2:1 complexes with cadmium, with molar absorptivities (in o-xylene solution) of 3.8 x 10(4) 1.mole(-1).cm(-1) at 590 nm (BrPDMP) and 4.5 x 10(4) 1.mole(-1).cm(-1) at 600 nm (BTADAP). Cadmium can be determined by extraction under alkaline conditions with a solution of BTADAP in xylene. Beer's law is obeyed up to at least 16 mug of cadmium. A limit of detection of 0.15 mug has been estimated and a coefficient of variation of 3.3% at the 5 mug level was found. The only species which interfere seriously are Co(2+), Ni(2+), and Ca(2+). A 200-fold excess of zinc may be tolerated. The method has been applied to the determination of cadmium in water samples, plant materials and hair. Interferences were overcome by preliminary extraction into Aliquat/carbon tetrachloride. The acid dissociation constant of BTADAP (pK = 9.5) and formation constant of the cadmium-BTADAP complex (log beta = 15.1) have been determined. 相似文献
