The reaction mechanisms of silver trimer cation, Ag3+, with 12-crown-4 (12C4) were studied experimentally and theoretically. Using a cylindrical ion trap time-of-flight mass spectrometer, gas-phase ion/molecule reactions of Ag3+ with 12C4 were observed. Metal-ligand complexes of [Ag(12C4)]+, [Ag3(12C4)]+ and [Ag3(12C4)2]+, and of [Ag(12C4)2]+ and [Ag3(12C4)3]+, were observed as the reaction intermediates and terminal products, respectively. The formations of the [Ag12C4]+ and [Ag(12C4)2]+ complexes indicated that the neutral dimer (Ag2) had been eliminated from the trimer cation. From the results of ab initio calculations at the HF/LanL2DZ level of theory and the experiments, it is suggested that three 12C4 molecules can attach to Ag3+ through consecutive reactions and that neutral Ag2 can be easily eliminated from [Ag3(12C4)]+.  相似文献

Dynamical properties of acyl chains in the three polymorphic phases alpha, beta', and beta of tristearin [C(3)H(5)(OCOC(17)H(35))3] have been studied by means of incoherent quasielastic neutron scattering (IQNS) using selectively deuterated samples. The mean square displacement of hydrogen atoms, , was estimated from the scattering vector Q dependence of the elastic scattering component under the harmonic approximation. It was shown that the temperature dependence of was significantly different between the three phases. There was no marked difference in between these phases up to 193 K, and the value increased linearly with temperature. Although the beta phase remained linear up to 293 K, the alpha and beta' phases started to show a nonlinear increase around 200 K, suggesting an anharmonic nature of molecular motions. The alpha phase exhibited the most conspicuous temperature dependence. These characteristics were ascribable to the difference in the lateral packing of acyl chains. Compared with the beta phase which has a tightly packed T// subcell, the beta' and alpha phases have looser O perpendicular and H subcells, respectively. The molecular motion in the alpha phase was analyzed using the model of uniaxial rotational diffusion in a onefold cosine potential. It has been clarified that the rotational fluctuation about the chain axis in the alpha phase is rather restricted compared with that in the rotator phase of n-alkanes.  相似文献

Electric-discharge nitrogen comprises three main types of excited nitrogen species-atomic nitrogen (Natom), excited nitrogen molecules (N2*), and nitrogen ions (N2+) – which have different lifetimes and reactivities. In particular, the interfacial reaction locus between the discharged nitrogen and the water phase produces nitrogen compounds such as ammonia and nitrate ions (denoted as N-compounds generically); this is referred to as the plasma/liquid interfacial (P/L) reaction. The Natom amount was analyzed quantitatively to clarify the contribution of Natom to the P/L reaction. We focused on the quantitative relationship between Natom and the produced N-compounds, and found that both N2* and N2+, which are active species other than Natom, contributed to P/L reaction. The production of N-compounds from N2* and N2+ was enhanced upon UV irradiation of the water phase, but the production of N-compounds from Natom did not increase by UV irradiation. These results revealed that the P/L reactions starting from Natom and those starting from N2* and N2+ follow different mechanisms.  相似文献

We have performed the multistate empirical valence bond (MS-EVB) molecular dynamics simulations of a dilute hydrofluoric acid solution at ambient temperature to study the hydration structure associated with its weak acidity. The developed MS-EVB model showed reasonable agreement with experimental and previous ab initio molecular dynamics and reference interaction site model self-consistent field simulations for the free energy and structural properties. The local tetrahedral and translational order parameters around the fluorine atom significantly increase in the transition and product states of the HF dissociation reaction. This indicates that the angular and translational rearrangements of the hydrogen-bond topology are necessary especially around the fluorine atom. At the transition state of the proton transfer, the tetrahedral order parameters are very large, whereas the translational order parameters are not. This suggests that for the proton transfer to occur the large angular rearrangements of the hydrogen-bond topology are more necessary than the translational ones.  相似文献

Spectator resonant KL(23)L(23) Auger electron spectra have been measured in the Si 1s photoexcitation region of Si(CH(3))(4) using monochromatized undulator radiation combined with a hemispherical electron spectrometer. The broad peak with high intensity in a total ion yield spectrum, coming mainly from excitation of a 1s electron into the 6t(2) vacant orbital, induces a spectator Auger decay in which the excited electron remains in its excited orbital. The component on the higher energy side of this peak through 1s excitation into a Rydberg orbital produces resonant Auger decays in which the excited Rydberg electron moves into a slightly higher Rydberg orbital, or is partly shaken up to a significantly higher Rydberg orbital. These findings of Si(CH(3))(4) indicate a clear contrast to those for SiF(4), in which the 1s excitation into a Rydberg orbital induces a shake-down phenomenon as well as a shake-up one. The results of these molecules exhibit a clear splitting effect among excited orbitals which are smeared out by overlapping due to lifetime widths and due to densely populated levels in the 1s electron excitation spectrum. This is consistent with the calculation on photoexcitation within the framework of density functional theory.  相似文献

From the analysis of the permeation of 35S labeled ethanesulfonic acid, through nylon-6 films sorption isotherms were obtained. The films are characterized by their largely different content of carboxyl and amino end groups. It was found that the shape of the isotherm depends on the molar ratio of the two end groups: an S-shape curve for the film containing the carboxyl end group larger than the amino end group and a Langmuir-type curve for the film containing comparable numbers of end groups. These results were explained by the McGregor-Harris theory in which the acid dissociation constants of the two end groups in nylon were estimated experimentally.  相似文献

Abstract— Zn-tetraphenylporphyrin (ZnTPP), solubilized in non-ionic surfactant micelles, was found to sensitize photoreductions of some sodium anthraquinonesulfonatesz in the presence of ascorbic acid under anaerobic conditions. The reaction rate was increased by the addition of an anionic surfactant, while retardation was observed with a cationic surfactant. The pH-reaction rate profiles showed maxima located in the order corresponding to pKa-values for the semiquinone of each anthraquinone-sulfonate. A reaction scheme involving the formation of ZnTPP+ at the primary step, followed by back-reduction with ascorbic acid, is proposed. The reaction scheme is in good agreement with the results of flash photolysis. The surfactant micelles are suggested to aid the charge-separation between the ionic species just after the redox reaction involving the photoexcited ZnTPP and anthraquinonesulfonates.  相似文献

The mass spectra of three bicyclic γ-lactones have been studied, and the fragmentation pathways have been proposed with the aid of accurate mass measurements and metastable transitions. An unusually low [M ? CH3] ion and the presence of an abundant [M ? C5H9] ion in the mass spectrum of dihydroactinidiolide were interpreted as a possible rearrangement involving a methyl migration. The eliminations of methyl radical, carbon monoxide and ketene are important processes in many cases.  相似文献
