An analysis has been carried out to study the momentum and heat transfer characteristics in an incompressible electrically conducting non-Newtonian boundary layer flow of a viscoelastic fluid over a stretching sheet. The partial differential equations governing the flow and heat transfer characteristics are converted into highly non-linear coupled ordinary differential equations by similarity transformations. The effect of variable fluid viscosity, Magnetic parameter, Prandtl number, variable thermal conductivity, heat source/sink parameter and thermal radiation parameter are analyzed for velocity, temperature fields, and wall temperature gradient. The resultant coupled highly non-linear ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by employing a shooting technique with fourth order Runge–Kutta integration scheme. The fluid viscosity and thermal conductivity, respectively, assumed to vary as an inverse and linear function of temperature. The analysis reveals that the wall temperature profile decreases significantly due to increase in magnetic field parameter. Further, it is noticed that the skin friction of the sheet decreases due to increase in the Magnetic parameter of the flow characteristics.  相似文献

In this contribution we report studies on the nature of binding of a small ligand/drug Nile blue (NB) with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) micelles, bis-(2-ethylehexyl) sulfosuccinate (AOT)/isooctane reverse micelles (RM) and a genomic DNA extracted from Salmon sperm. With detailed steady state and picosecond resolved optical spectroscopic techniques, we examined the fluorescence quenching of the ligand upon complexation with the SDS monomers and DNA. Polarization analyzed picosecond-resolved fluorescence measurements reveal geometrical restriction on the probe in SDS micelles, AOT-RM and DNA. Steady state and time resolved studies on the probe in nanocages of AOT RM with various degrees of hydration (w0) reveal the existence of NB as two distinct species namely, neutral and cationic. This study confirms that the emission of NB in aqueous micelles and DNA solution is due to the cationic form of the drug. Our experiments clearly identified non-specific electrostatic and intercalative modes of interaction of the probe with the DNA at lower and higher DNA concentrations respectively. The nature of binding of NB in presence of the DNA and SDS micelles reveals that the binding affinity of the probe is higher with the micelles than with the DNA. The complex rigidity of NB with DNA and its fluorescence quenching with DNA elucidate a strong recognition mechanism between NB and DNA.  相似文献

The spectral characteristics of different drugs i.e. sulfanilamide, sulfanilic acid, sulfosalicylic acid dihydrate (SSAD) and sulfamethoxazole in aqueous α-cyclodextrin (CD) have been investigated at neutral pH. The formation of inclusion complexes of sulfa drugs with α-CD leads to the changes in fluorescence and absorption spectra which further enable the calculation of association constant of the bind processes by implementing the non-linear regression on the experimental data. The standard Gibbs energy ΔG was also calculated for the systems in which complex formation was observed. The α-CD study indicates that the sulpha drugs form 1:1 inclusion complex with α-CD.  相似文献

Over the last two decades, polymers with superior H2/CO2 separation properties at 100–300 °C have gathered significant interest for H2 purification and CO2 capture. This timely review presents various strategies adopted to molecularly engineer polymers for this application. We first elucidate the Robeson's upper bound at elevated temperatures for H2/CO2 separation and the advantages of high-temperature operation (such as improved solubility selectivity and absence of CO2 plasticization), compared with conventional membrane gas separations at ~35 °C. Second, we describe commercially relevant membranes for the separation and highlight materials with free volumes tuned to discriminate H2 and CO2, including functional polymers (such as polybenzimidazole) and engineered polymers by cross-linking, blending, thermal treatment, thermal rearrangement, and carbonization. Third, we succinctly discuss mixed matrix materials containing size-sieving or H2-sorptive nanofillers with attractive H2/CO2 separation properties.  相似文献

Magnetically retrieval CuFe2O4@MIL-101(Cr) metal–organic framework was successfully prepared from easily available starting materials and characterized using various spectroscopic and analytical techniques such as powder X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray, transmission electron microscopy, elemental mapping, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller, vibrating sample magnetometer, and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. The catalyst was then used in the synthesis of benzodiazepines containing a triazole moiety in water. The advantages of this protocol include high yields, reusability of the catalyst, and gram-scale synthesis.  相似文献

A greener and efficient method for the synthesis of ynones and 1,3-diynes using copper oxide nanoparticles (CuONPs) doped reduced graphene oxide (CuO@rGO) catalyst under palladium, ligand and solvent free conditions have been developed. The catalyst was subsequently utilized for the synthesis of biologically active 1,5-benzodiazepines in one pot via sequential addition of acyl chlorides, terminal alkynes and o-phenylenediamines. The methodology initially involves in situ formation of ynones which react with o-phenylenediamines in presence of ethanol to afford a wide variety of benzodiazepines. Mild reaction conditions, good to an excellent yield of the products, cheap and recyclable catalyst make this methodology environmentally benign and sustainable.  相似文献

We have investigated the relations between microstructure and dielectric properties in order to fabricate sol-gel-derived highly (100) oriented Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3 (BST 50/50) thin films with properties comparable to those of the bulk material. For the first time, we were able to fabricate BST thin films which exhibited the orthorhombic-to-tetragonal transition in addition to the commonly observed tetragonal-to-cubic transition. We were successful in explaining the commonly observed degradation of the dielectric behavior of BST thin films, when compared to that of the bulk material, in terms of grain size, compositional inhomogeneity (measured in terms of Sr/Ba ratio) between the grain bulk and grain boundary, and mechanical stresses.
