The electrospinning of polymer-free nanofibers from highly concentrated (160%, w/v) aqueous solutions of hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin (HPβCD) and its inclusion complexes with triclosan (HPβCD/triclosan-IC) was achieved successfully. The dynamic light scattering (DLS) and rheology measurements indicated that the presence of considerable HPβCD aggregates and the high solution viscosity were the key factors in obtaining electrospun HPβCD and HPβCD/triclosan-IC nanofibers without the use of any polymeric carrier. The HPβCD and HPβCD/triclosan-IC solutions containing 20% (w/w) urea yielded no fibers but only beads and splashes because of the depression of the self-aggregation of the HPβCD. The inclusion complexation of triclosan with HPβCD was studied by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC) and turbidity measurements. The characteristics of the HPβCD and HPβCD/triclosan-IC nanofibers were investigated by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). It was found that the electrospinning of HPβCD/triclosan-IC solution having a 1:1 molar ratio was optimal for obtaining nanofibers without any uncomplexed guest molecules. 相似文献

A method combining immunomagnetic separation (IMS) and surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) was developed to enumerate Escherichia coli (E. coli). Gold-coated magnetic spherical nanoparticles were prepared by immobilizing biotin-labeled anti-E. coli antibodies onto avidin-coated magnetic nanoparticles and used in the separation and concentration of the E. coli cells. Raman labels have been constructed using rod shaped gold nanoparticles coated with 5,5-dithiobis-(2-nitrobenzoic acid) (DTNB) and subsequently with a molecular recognizer. Then DTNB-labeled gold nanorods were interacted with gold-coated magnetic spherical nanoparticle-antibody-E. coli complex. The capture efficiency and calibration graphs were obtained and examined in different E. coli concentrations (10(1)-10(7) cfu mL(-1)). The correlation between the concentration of bacteria and SERS signal was found to be linear within the range of 10(1)-10(4) cfu mL(-1) (R(2) = 0.992). The limit of detection (LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) values of the developed method were found to be 8 and 24 cfu mL(-1), respectively. The selectivity of the developed immunoassay was examined with Enterobacter aerogenes, Enterobacter dissolvens, and Salmonella enteriditis which did not produce any significant response. The ability of the immunoassay to detect E. coli in real water samples was also investigated and the results were compared with the experimental results from plate-counting methods. There was no significant difference between the methods that were compared (p > 0.05). This method is rapid and sensitive to target organisms with a total analysis time of less than 70 min. 相似文献

The present paper deal with the multi-component condensation of 8-hydroxy quinoline, aromatic aldehydes, and sulfone derivatives catalyzed by p-toluenesulfonic acid for the synthesis of a series of 4H-pyrano[3,2-h]quinoline derivatives in ethanol under ultrasonic irradiations. We provide a series of quinoline derivatives containing sulfone moiety interesting for biological screening tests. The reactions were carried out under both conventional and ultrasonic irradiation conditions. In general, improvement in rates and yields were observed when reactions were carried out under sonication compared with classical silent conditions. Also, also, sonochemical reaction give different reaction pathway other than silent reaction. These remarkable effects appeared in sonicated reactions can be reasonably interpreted in terms of acoustic cavitation phenomenon. A right module M over a ring R is said to be retractable if Hom R (M, N) ≠ 0 for each nonzero submodule N of M. We show that M ? R RG is a retractable RG-module if and only if M R is retractable for every finite group G. The ring R is (finitely) mod-retractable if every (finitely generated) right R-module is retractable. Some comparisons between max rings, semiartinian rings, perfect rings, noetherian rings, nonsingular rings, and mod-retractable rings are investigated. A poly(2‐aminophenylbenzimidazole)/gold nanoparticles (P2AB/AuNPs) coated disposable pencil graphite electrode (PGE) was fabricated as an enzyme‐free sensor for the H2O2 determination. P2AB/AuNPs and P2AB were successfully synthesized electrochemically on PGE in acetonitrile for the first time. The coatings were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X‐ray diffraction spectroscopy, Energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, Surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and UV‐Vis spectroscopy. AuNPs interacted with P2AB as carrier enhances the electrocatalytic activity towards reduction of H2O2. The analytical performance was evaluated in a 100 mM phosphate buffer solution at pH 6.5 by amperometry. The steady state current vs. H2O2 concentration is linear in the range of 0.06 to 100 mM (R2=0.992) with a limit of detection 3.67×10?5 M at ?0.8 V vs. SCE and no interference is caused by ascorbic acid, dopamine, uric acid, and glucose. The examination for the sensitive determination of H2O2 was conducted in commercially available hair oxidant solution. The results demonstrate that P2AB/AuNPs/PGE has potential applications as a sensing material for quantitative determination of H2O2. 相似文献
