To design ultrabright fluorescent solid dyes, a crystal engineering strategy that enables monomeric emission by blocking intermolecular electronic interactions is required. We introduced propylene moieties to distyrylbenzene (DSB) as bridges between the phenyl rings either side of its C=C bonds. The bridged DSB derivatives formed compact crystals that emit colors similar to those of the same molecules in dilute solution, with high quantum yields. The introduction of flexible seven-membered rings to the DSB core produced moderate distortion and steric hindrance in the DSB π-plane. However, owing to this strategy, it was possible to control the molecular arrangement with almost no decrease in the crystal density, and intermolecular electronic interactions were suppressed. The bridged DSB crystal structure differs from other DSB derivative structures; thus, bridging affords access to novel crystalline systems. This design strategy has important implications in many fields and is more effective than the conventional photofunctional molecular crystal design strategies.  相似文献

Photoluminescence (PL) spectra and time-resolved PL are measured from around 10 to 300 K for the InGaN/GaN single quantum wells (SQWs) with well widths of 1.5, 2.5, 4 and 5 nm. For the SQWs with the well widths of 1.5 and 2.5 nm, the peak position of PL exhibits an S-shaped shift with increasing temperature. The radiative recombination time τRAD begins to increase at the temperature for the position to change from the red-shift to the blue-shift. The steep increase of τRAD is observed beyond the temperature from the blue-shift to the red-shift. For the SQWs with the well widths of 4 and 5 nm, the peak position of PL exhibits a monotonic red-shift. τRAD decreases at first and then increases with temperature. It is about 100-times longer in the low temperature region and about 10-times longer at room temperature as compared with those of the SQWs with narrower widths.  相似文献

A parallel plate interferometer with a reflecting mirror for measuring angular displacement is proposed. A deflection angle of a beam caused by an angular displacement is amplified by use of a reflecting mirror to increase the optical path difference (OPD) in the plane-parallel plate, which provides high sensitivity of the phase measurement. Detection of light transmitted through the plane-parallel plate with a position sensitive detector (PSD) enables high accurate measurement of the initial angle of incidence to the plane-parallel plate with insensitivity to stray light. The improved parallel plate interferometer achieves a measurement repeatability of 10−8 rad.  相似文献

We report the first experimental demonstration of an optical quantum controlled-NOT gate without any path interference, where the two interacting path interferometers of the original proposals have been replaced by three partially polarizing beam splitters with suitable polarization dependent transmittance and reflectance. The performance of the device is evaluated using a recently proposed method, by which the quantum process fidelity and the entanglement capability can be estimated from the 32 measurement results of two classical truth tables, significantly less than the 256 measurement results required for full quantum tomography.  相似文献

To the best of our knowledge, we demonstrate for the first time the generation of photon number squeezing by spectral filtering for ultrabroadband light generated by microstructure fibers at 800 nm. A maximum squeezing of 4.6 dB is observed, corresponding to 10.3 dB after correcting for detection losses. We numerically analyzed the quantum dynamics of ultrashort laser pulse propagation through optical fibers by solving a nonlinear quantum Schr?dinger equation that included Raman scattering, especially for the quantum correlation of photon number fluctuation among frequency modes in broadband pulses.  相似文献

The path-integral renormalization group and direct energy minimization method of practical first-principles electronic structure calculations for multi-body systems within the framework of the real-space finite-difference scheme are introduced. These two methods can handle higher dimensional systems with consideration of the correlation effect. Furthermore, they can be easily extended to the multicomponent quantum systems which contain more than two kinds of quantum particles. The key to the present methods is employing linear combinations of nonorthogonal Slater determinants (SDs) as multi-body wavefunctions. As one of the noticeable results, the same accuracy as the variational Monte Carlo method is achieved with a few SDs. This enables us to study the entire ground state consisting of electrons and nuclei without the need to use the Born-Oppenheimer approximation. Recent activities on methodological developments aiming towards practical calculations such as the implementation of auxiliary field for Coulombic interaction, the treatment of the kinetic operator in imaginary-time evolutions, the time-saving double-grid technique for bare-Coulomb atomic potentials and the optimization scheme for minimizing the total-energy functional are also introduced. As test examples, the total energy of the hydrogen molecule, the atomic configuration of the methylene and the electronic structures of two-dimensional quantum dots are calculated, and the accuracy, availability and possibility of the present methods are demonstrated.  相似文献

Preferentially, c-axis-oriented lithium-doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Li) thin films were prepared on Pyrex borosilicate glass substrates by a sol–gel method starting from zinc acetate dihydrate, lithium chloride, 2-methoxyethanol and monoethanolamine. Decomposition and crystallization behavior of dip-coated amorphous precursor films during post-annealing treatments were investigated by thermogravimetry–differential thermal analysis (TG–DTA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), optical transmittance measurements, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). It was revealed that the films contained the organic compounds at temperatures up to 300°C, which was the key to the transformation from the amorphous to the crystalline state. Thermodynamical consideration of nucleation and crystal growth was made taking account of surface energies of the film and the glass substrate and an interfacial energy between them. Mechanisms underlying the c-axis orientation were proposed based upon the initial orientation due to nucleation and final growth orientation.  相似文献

Spectrally narrow, pulsed outputs consisting of almost a single mode have been obtained from an optically-pumped high-power (200kW) D2O laser by adopting the injection seeding method, where single-mode radiation (seed pulse) from a low-power, compact D2O laser has been injected into the main D2O laser. Spectrally narrow outputs with high power having spectral widths as narrow as 5 MHz have been obtained, when the seed pulses with frequency tuned to one longitudinal mode of the main D2O laser have been injected at a time sufficiently before the lasing of the main laser took place. The experimental results have been compared with those of numerical simulation modified to include the injection field with varying injection times.  相似文献
