A theoretical analysis of the current-potential curves for facilitated ion transfer across an oil/water interface is presented for the case where two complex species having an ion-to-ligand ratio of 1:1 and 1:2 are allowed to exist in the oil phase. Cyclic voltammograms are calculated numerically by using a finite difference method assuming that the ion transfer is reversible and the complex formation equilibria are maintained throughout the oil phase. When the ligand concentration in the oil phase is much smaller than the ion concentration in the aqueous phase and the former limits the ion-transfer current, two well separated peaks may develop even under the assumption of equilibrium conditions for the complex formation. The shape of the voltammogram is determined primarily by the ratio of the two reduced stability constants: b1 = K1bcLO and b2 = K1K2(bcOL)2, where K1 and K2 are the stability constants for 1:1 and 1:2 complexes in the oil phase and bcOL the ligand concentration in the bulk of the oil phase. The degree of peak separation thus depends not only on K2/K1 but also on bcOL. A method for estimating the two stability constants from the voltammograms is proposed.  相似文献

The effects of cation symmetry and packing on the mixed-valence state of binuclear ferrocene derivatives are discussed separately by using chiral isomers and racemic modification of 1',1' "-bis(2-phenylbutyl)-1,1' '-biferrocenium pentaiodide. The pentaiodide anion has a polymeric structure and is composed of triiodide anion and iodine molecule units. The (R,S) isomer having an inversion center shows a detrapped-valence state even at 78 K. On the other hand, the (R,R) and the (S,S) isomers having no inversion center show a trapped-valence state at room temperature. The racemic modification, however, consisting of the (R,R) and the (S,S) isomers shows a perfect detrapped-valence state at room temperature. This finding shows that the packing effect overcomes the effect of cation asymmetry.  相似文献

New palladium(0) complexes with a variety of coordinated olefins [Pd(olefin)(PMePh2)2] (II) (olefin = styrene, ethyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate, methyl acrylate, methacrylonitrile, and dimethyl maleate), were prepared by the reactions of [PdEt2(PMePh2)2] (I) with corresponding olefins in toluene. These complexes were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy and the chemical reactions. The dissociation of the coordinated olefin from complex II in solution was confirmed by spectroscopic studies of [Pd(mma)(PMePh2)2] (mma = methyl methacrylate). From the variable temperature NMR study, kinetic parameters for the dissociation process were determined as Ea = 7 kcal/mol, and ΔS3 (293 K) = -30 cal/deg · mol. Some new hydrido complexes, [Pd(H)ClL2] (IV) (L = PMePh2, PEtPh2 and PEt2Ph), were prepared by the reactions of [Pd(olefin)L2] with dry HCl.  相似文献

We describe the development of a general catalytic asymmetric Michael reaction of acyclic beta-keto esters to cyclic enones, in which asymmetric induction occurs at the beta-position of the acceptors. Among the various asymmetric catalyst systems examined, the newly developed La-NR-linked-BINOL complexes (R = H or Me) afforded the best results in terms of reactivity and selectivity. In general, the NMe ligand 2 was suitable for the combination of small enones and small beta-keto esters, and the NH ligand 1 was suitable for bulkier substrates (steric tuning of the catalyst). Using the La-NMe-linked-BINOL complex, the Michael reaction of methyl acetoacetate (8a) to 2-cyclohexen-1-one (7b) gave the corresponding Michael adduct 9ba in 82% yield and 92% ee. The linker heteroatom in linked-BINOL is crucial for achieving high reactivity and selectivity in the Michael reaction of beta-keto esters. The amine moiety in the NR-linked-BINOL can also tune the Lewis acidity of the central metal (electronic tuning of the catalyst), which was supported by density functional studies and experimental results. Another advantage of the NR-linked-BINOL ligand as compared with O-linked-BINOL is the ease of modifying a substituent on the amine moiety, making it possible to synthesize a variety of NR-linked-BINOL ligands for further improvement or development of new asymmetric catalyses by introducing additional functionality on the linker with the amine moiety. The efficiency of the present asymmetric catalysis was demonstrated by the synthesis of the key intermediate of (-)-tubifolidine and (-)-19,20-dihydroakuammicine in only five steps compared to the nine steps required by the original process from the Michael product of malonate. This strategy is much more atom economical. On the basis of the results of mechanistic studies, we propose that a beta-keto ester serves as a ligand as well as a substrate and at least one beta-keto ester should be included in the active catalyst complex. Further improvement of the reaction by maintaining an appropriate ratio of the La-NMe-linked-BINOL complex and beta-keto esters is also described.  相似文献

All the three possible rotamers of the title compound were separated by chromatography, and unambiguously identified by NMR and X-ray analysis. One of the isomers was optically inactive Ci conformation. The other optical active forms were resolved to give a pair of enantiomers, which were characterized by optical rotation and CD spectra. Thus the optical inactivity of a compound such as meso-tartaric acid that can take Ci conformation in solution, is now ascribed to that the molecule has an optically inactive Ci conformer and equal amounts of optically active conformers, that are enantiomers, in solution.  相似文献

For evaluation of a chiral C2-symmetric bis(oxazoline) ligand, its Lewis acid complexes-catalyzed asymmetric 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of nitrones with electron-deficient dipolarophiles, 3-(2-alkenoyl)-1,3-oxazolidin-2-ones, have been investigated and it was found that the cycloadditions using a Cu(II)-bis(oxazoline) complex under optimized reaction conditions induced extremely high enantioselectivity.  相似文献

The title hydride and its deuteride were successfully synthesized. The crystal structure of the deuteride was determined by time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction. BaAlD(5) crystallizes with a new orthorhombic structure in space group Pna2(1) (No. 33), cell parameters a = 9.194(1) A, b = 7.0403(9) A, and c = 5.1061(6) A, Z = 4. BaAlH(5) is the first example that contains one-dimensional zigzag chains of [AlH(6)] along the crystallographic c axis.  相似文献

We present a semi-empirical calculational procedure for thep 5 nl bound excited states of rare gas atoms based on the use of an LS-dependent orbital for an excitednl electron outside a frozen Hartree-Fockp 5 core. The spin-orbit interaction is accounted for approximately using a localized Hartree potential. The contribution from the long-range core polarization is estimated by using a parametrized potential. A model potential is also introduced to represent partially the short-range multi-electron interactions for thep 5 np levels. The energy levels are calculated by diagonalizing the Hamiltonian matrix following anLSjl transformation. The calculated fine structure of the Nep 5 ns,p 5 np,p 5 nd, andp 5 nf ¦ (jl)KJ〉 levels are in close agreement with the observed level splittings. The transition probabilities are also in agreement with earlier theoretical and experimental results.  相似文献

We made theoretical calculations for a benzonitrile molecule and its clusters in the gas phase and as adsorbed on the Au(111) surface, to explain the observation by scanning tunneling microscope, that is, the trimer formation of cyanophenyl porphyrins adsorbed onto the Au(111) surface. With regard to the gas-phase species, ab initio calculations showed that (1) the benzonitrile dimer has a single stable structure that is planar and antiparallel; (2) the trimer has two isoenergetic stable structures, that is, a planar and cyclic structure and an antiparallel and nonplanar one; (3) the clusters are more stable, at low temperatures, than the monomer. For the adsorbed species, we made quantum mechanical/molecular mechanical calculations in which the interaction between the adsorbates and the surface is evaluated in a molecular-mechanical way by using analytical potential functions and an image charge model. Because the stable structures were found to be similar to those in the gas phase, the cluster formation of adsorbed cyanophenyl porphyrins was attributed to the interaction between cyanophenyl groups, which is barely affected by adsorbate-surface interaction. It was also found that the adsorbed cyclic benzonitrile trimer is more stable than the monomer and the dimer because the relative stability is dependent on enthalpy alone. We therefore concluded that the preferential formation of trimers by the adsorbed cyanophenyl porphyrins is due to the negligible contribution of entropy to the relative stability of the adsorbed species and that the adsorption hardly changes the situation found in the gas phase.  相似文献
