Aromatic oligoamide macrocycles exhibit strong preference for highly directional association. Aggregation happens in both nonpolar and polar solvents but is weakened as solvent polarity increases. The strong, directional assembly is rationalized by the cooperative action of dipole-dipole and π-π stacking interactions, leading to long nanotubular assemblies that are confirmed by SEM, TEM, AFM, and XRD. The persistent nanotubular assemblies contain non-collapsible hydrophilic internal pores that mediate highly efficient ion transport observed with these macrocycles and serve as cylindrical sites for accommodating guests such as metal ions. 相似文献

An alternative method for the assay of chloramphenicol using an enzymatic reaction coupled with a fluorescence detection system has been developed. Chloramphenicol was enzymatically acetylated by chloramphenicol acetyltransferase in the presence of acetyl-coenzyme A (acetyl-CoA) as the acetyl-donor, after which the liberated CoA-SH was derivatized with a fluorogenic reagent, 4-(aminosulfonyl)-7-fluoro-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole. The assay was linear over the range of 2.5-40 micrograms/ml. Analytical recoveries of chloramphenicol at concentrations of 7.5 and 22.5 micrograms/ml, added to human serum, plasma, or a slightly hemolyzed serum, were in the range of 93.3 to 106.2%. The enzymatic assay was not affected by the presence of ten other antibiotics tested. 相似文献

Three poly(4‐trimethylsilylstyrene)‐block‐polyisoprenes (TIs), the molecular weights of which were 82,000, 152,000 and 291,000 (TI‐82K, TI‐152K, and TI‐291K), were synthesized by sequential anionic polymerizations. The component polymers were a miscible pair that presented a lower critical solution temperature phase diagram if blended. The TI phase behavior was investigated with transmission electron microscopy. The order–disorder transition could be observed at a temperature between 200 °C (the ordered state) and 150 °C (the disordered state) for the block copolymer TI‐152K. The block copolymer TI‐82K presented the disordered state at 200 °C, whereas TI‐291K was in the ordered state at 150 °C. With the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter between poly(4‐trimethylsilylstyrene) and polyisoprene, which was evaluated by small‐angle neutron scattering for the block copolymers, the TI phase behavior could be reasonably explained by mean‐field theory. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The reaction in different molar ratios of trimethylchlorosilane to silicic acid offered partially silylated silicic acids PSSX (X = OH) with various degrees of silylation. Esterification and acetylation of PSSX (X = OH) with 1-butanol or acetylchloride gave polysiloxanes PSSX (X = OBun and OCOCH3). Some of them showed an excellent spinnability and provided a fine fiber with a length of about 250 cm. A fiber drawing test from concentrated PSSX solutions of various solvents revealed that spinnability markedly depended on the DS, functional group X of PSSX, and solvent. Spinnability may also be correlated to solubility parameter of PSSX and solvent. 相似文献

The tetrabutyl ester derived from 9,16,25,32-tetrahydroxy[3.1.3.1]metacyclophane was an excellent ionophore for constructing a K+-selective membrane electrode. This ionophore exhibited a much higher selectivity toward K+ than the structurally similar potassium ionophore IV commercially available from Fluka. In particular, the interference from organic ammonium ions decreased remarkably. Potassium ionophore IV possessed oxygen atoms in the ring structure, while the present ionophore changed the oxygen atoms to carbon atoms. Thus, the removal of oxygen atoms in ring constituents of the metacyclophane acted to reduce the interaction with the NH3+ group of organic ammonium ions. The size of the cavity of the present ionophore was between those of calix[4]arene and calix[6]arene derivatives, which act as Na+ and Cs+ ionophores, respectively, demonstrating that the ability to recognize alkali metal cations was strongly cavity size-dependent. The present K+-selective electrode had less interference from Rb+ and Cs+ than an electrode constructed using valinomycin, but suffered greater interference from Na+. 相似文献

Endohedral metallofullerenes (EMFs) have novel structures and properties that are closely associated with the internal metallic species. Benzyl radical additions have been previously shown to form closed‐shell adducts by attaching an odd number of addends to open‐shell EMFs (such as Sc3C2@Ih‐C80) whereas an even number of groups are added to closed‐shell EMFs (for example Sc3N@Ih‐C80). Herein we report that benzyl radical addition to the closed‐shell La2@Ih‐C80 forms a stable, open‐shell monoadduct instead of the anticipated closed‐shell bisadduct. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction results show the formation of a stable radical species. In this species, the La?La distance is comparable to the theoretical value of a La?La covalent bond and is shorter than reported values for other La2@Ih‐C80 derivatives, providing unambiguous evidence for the formation of direct La?La bond. 相似文献

Oligoamide macrocycles 1d and 1e, which carry membrane-compatible side chains and contain a hydrophilic, noncollapsible cavity, were found to mediate high ion flux across a lipid bilayer, as demonstrated by results from (23)Na NMR and planar bilayer conductance measurements. The measured transmembrane single channel currents are very high, rivaling those typically associated with pore-forming protein toxins. In the screening of biologically active constituents from woody plants, the methanol extract of leaves of Chamaecyparis obtusa showed potent neurite outgrowth-promoting activity in neuronal PC12 cells. The ethyl acetate-soluble fraction of the methanol extract showed potent activity and was separated by means of various chromatographic methods to give the two new compounds 1 and 2, as well as 11 known lignan and sesquiterpene derivatives. The structures of the new compounds were determined to be 9-O-acetyldihydrosesamin (1) and 9-O-(11-hydroxyeudesman-4-yl)dihydrosesamin (2), respectively, in NMR studies including 2D-NMR experiments. Of the 13 compounds, the known compound hinokinin (5) and the new compound 2 showed potent neurite outgrowth-promoting activity in PC 12 cells. 相似文献

In the course of the development of new designer foods using the roots of Codonopsis lanceolata, we found that hot-water extracts of C. lanceolata recovered decreased testosterone levels in the blood and accelerated the restoration of reproductive dysfunction induced by hyperthermic treatment in male mice. Thus we studied the constituents of the polar fraction of the roots of C. lanceolata and identified six new triterpene saponins, lancemasides B (2), C (3), D (4), E (5), F (6), and G (7), along with the known saponin lancemasaide A (1) and phenylpropanoid glycosides 8-10. The structures of the new compounds 2-7 were determined by means of spectral data including 2D-NMR studies and chemical reactions to be oleanan-type bisdesmoside with sugars at C-3 and C-28. Compounds 2-6 have echinocystic acid as an aglycone, and compound 7 has asterogenic acid as an aglycone. Identification of the sugars and determination of their D,L-chiralities were carried out by application of the exciton chirality method to the per-O-p-bromobenzoylmethyl sugar derived from saponins. 相似文献
