In this study, a cation-exchange resin (CEX) of the K+-form, i.e., an enhancer resin, is used as a postcolumn conductimetric enhancer in the ion-exclusion chromatography of aliphatic carboxylic acids. The enhancer resin is filled in the switching valve of an ion chromatograph; this valve is usually used as a suppressor valve in ion-exchange chromatography. An aliphatic carboxylic acid (e.g., CH3COOH) separated by a weakly acidic CEX column of the H+-form converts into that of the K+-form (e.g., CH3COOK) by passing through the enhancer resin. In contrast, the background conductivity decreases because a strong acid (e.g., HNO3) with a higher conductimetric response in an eluent converts into a salt (e.g., KNO3) with a lower conductimetric response. Since the pH of the eluent containing the resin enhancer increases from 3.27 to 5.85, the enhancer accelerates the dissociations of analyte acids. Consequently, peak heights and peak areas of aliphatic carboxylic acids (e.g., acetic acid, propionic acid, butyric acid, and valeric acid) with the enhancer resin are 6.3-8.0 times higher and 7.2-9.2 times larger, respectively, than those without the enhancer resin. Calibrations of peak areas for injected analytes are linear in the concentration range of 0.01-1.0 mM. The detection limits (signal-to-noise ratio = 3) range from 0.10 μM to 0.39 μM in this system, as opposed to those in the range of 0.24-7.1 μM in the separation column alone. 3,4-Dhydro-6,7-dimethoxy-4-methyl-3-oxo-quinoxaline-2-carbonyl azide is a highly senstive fluorescence derivatization reagent for primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols for high-performance liquid chromatography. Reaction conditions are optimized with benzyl alcohol, n-hexanol, cyclohexanol and 2-methyl-2-butanol. The reagent reacts with the alcohols in benzene to produce the corresponding fluorescent carbamic acid esters, which can be separated on a reversed-phase column YMC Pack C8 with aqueous methanol as eluent. the detection limits for the alchols are 2–5 fmol per 10-μl njection. The reagent also reacts with hydroxysteroids with primary, secondary and/or tertiary alcoholic group(s) to form fluorescent derivatives. When a mixture of o-alkynylaryl isocyanides and organic dichalcogenides such as diselenides or ditellurides was irradiated with light of wavelength over 300 or 400 nm, the intramolecular cyclization of the isocyanides took place to afford the corresponding 2,4-bischalcogenated quinolines selectively. The synthesis, biological evaluation, and molecular modeling of two conformationally restricted analogues of adenophostinA (1), denominated as spirophostin (3R)-10 and (3S)-11, as novel ligands for the D-myo-inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor (IP3R), is presented. These diastereoisomeric spiroketals are synthesized by spiroketalization of D-glucose derivatives (2S)-15 and (2R)-16, separation of the protected isomers (3R)-19 and (3S)-20, followed by phosphorylation and deprotection. To examine the antithrombogenicity of cultured endothelial cell-detached surface, a simple hybrid vascular model tube consisting of a glass tube and endothelial cells was constructed. To detach the endothelial cells from the inner surface of the model tube, a steady shear stress of 2 or 8 N m(-2) was imposed onto the surface of endothelial cell monolayer by means of a coaxial double cylinder rotational-type apparatus. Coagulation of blood in contact with the endothelial cell-detached surface was examined using a damped oscillation rheometer. Coagulation of whole blood in the cell-detached tube occurred at about 40 min, which was almost the same as that in the endothelial cell-coated tube. A few platelets without shape change adhered to the endothelial cell-detached surface. These data suggest that the endothelial cell-detached surface may exhibit antithrombogenic and anticoagulant surfaces. Biochemical analyses showed that the glass surface, where endothelial cell was detached, was covered with components such as collagen type IV that is considered to be produced from the endothelial cells on the glass surface. 相似文献

The catalytic activities of the cationic synthetic flavin adduct 1 with various dendritic and non-dendritic 2,6-bis(acylamino)pyridines 2 were examined for the oxidation of organic sulfides with H2O2. Light and heavy neutron‐irradiation damage of highly oriented pyrolytic graphite (HOPG) crystals was examined by means of X‐ray diffraction and high‐resolution high‐voltage transmission electron microscopy (TEM). From the X‐ray data analysis, it was found that there is an average increase of about 3% in the c‐axis lattice parameter of the unit cell of graphite for lightly neutron‐irradiated HOPG. However, the c‐axis lattice parameter could not be estimated from the HOPG sample having the highest dose of neutron irradiation under the present investigation, because the X‐ray profile was highly asymmetrical. This increase in the c‐axis lattice parameter is attributed to lattice expansion due to the static displacement of atoms after neutron irradiation. Local structure analysis by TEM shows that the 0002 lattice spacing for the above‐mentioned HOPG samples has been increased by up to 10% as a result of the neutron irradiation. This increase in c‐axis lattice spacing can be ascribed to the fragmentation of the crystal lattice into nanocrystallites, breaking and bending of the 0002 straight lattice fringes, appearance of dislocation loops, and extra interstitial planes within the fragmented nanocrystallites. Wittig reaction of (E)-3-(3-guaiazulenyl)propenal (11) with (3-guaiazulenylmethyl)triphenylphosphonium bromide (9) in ethanol containing NaOEt at 25 °C for 24 h under argon gives the title new (2E,4E)-1,3-butadiene derivative 4, in 33% isolated yield, which upon treatment with hexafluorophosphoric acid (i.e., 65% HPF6 aqueous solution) in tetrahydrofuran (=THF) at 25 °C for 1 h under aerobic conditions affords a new air (two-electron) oxidation product (E)-ethylene-1,2-bis(3-guaiazulenylmethylium) bis(hexafluorophosphate) (14), quantitatively, and further, zinc-reduction of 14 in trifluoroacetic acid (=CF3COOH) at 0 °C for 1 h under argon reverts 4, quantitatively. Along with the above interesting results, our discovered another preparation method, spectroscopic properties, crystal structure, and electrochemical behavior of 4, which serves as a strong two-electron donor and acceptor, compared with those of the previously reported (E)-1,2-di(3-guaiazulenyl)ethylene (3) are documented in detail. 相似文献
