1-Chlorovinyl p-tolyl sulfoxides were synthesized from several kinds of cyclic ketones and chloromethyl p-tolyl sulfoxide in good yields. Treatment of the 1-chlorovinyl p-tolyl sulfoxides with cyanomethyllithium at −78°C to room temperature gave spirocyclic enaminonitriles in high yields. Acidic treatment of the enaminonitriles afforded spiro[4.n]alkenones in good yields. By using an unsymmetrical cyclic ketone, α-tetralone, and optically active chloromethyl p-tolyl sulfoxide, this procedure afforded enantiomerically pure spiro[4.5]decenone in good yield with excellent asymmetric induction from the sulfoxide chiral center. By using this method a formal total synthesis of a racemic spirocyclic sesquiterpene, acorone, was realized. 相似文献

A vinyl‐functionalized polyphosphate (PIOP) was synthesized by ring‐opening polymerization of 2‐isopropyl‐2‐oxo‐1,3,2‐dioxaphospholane and 2‐(2‐oxo‐1,3,2‐dioxaphosphoroyloxyethyl methacrylate) with triisobutylaluminum as an initiator. The number‐averaged molecular weight of the PIOP was 1.2 × 104. The average number of vinyl groups in the PIOP is 2.20. Transparent hydrogels were prepared by the radical polymerization of 2‐methacryroyloxyethyl phosphorylcholine with PIOP as a cross‐linking reagent. These hydrogels may have many applications in the biomedical field because of their biodegradability and biocompatibility.

Enzyme heterobilayer-modified electrodes were fabricated by successively covalently binding to the surface of a tin(IV) oxide plate horseradish peroxidase (HRP), then an oxidase (lactate, pyruvate or cholesterol oxidase or uricase), which liberates hydrogen peroxide by reaction with the respective substrate. Chloro- and aryl-substituted acetylene monomers having an optically active group were polymerized by a Pd catalyst [(tBu3P)PdMeCl] bearing a bulky phosphine ligand, and by MoCl5 for comparison. The corresponding disubstituted acetylene polymers with Mn's = 2000–19,500 and 6900–10,800 were obtained in 29–83% and 11–62% yields when the Pd and Mo catalysts were used, respectively. The formation of polyacetylenes, poly[(R)- 1p ], poly[(R)- 1m ], and poly[(S)- 2p ] were confirmed by SEC and the presence of a Raman scattering peak based on the alternating double bonds of the main chain. An extraction-spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of traces of zinc with 2-[2-(3,5-dibromopyridyl)azo]-5-dimethylaminobenzoic acid. The reagent forms a stable, blue 1:2 zinc/reagent complex that can be extracted into chloroform. The apparent molar absorptivity of the zinc(II) complex is 1.26 × 105 l mol?1 cm?1 at 610 nm in chloroform. The reagent is relatively selective; interferences from cobalt, copper and nickel can be masked with dimethylglyoxime and aluminium and iron with a mixture of sodium fluoride and triethanolamine. The method is applied to the determination of zinc in coal fly ash and pond sediments with good precision and accuracy. 相似文献

Controlled-rate thermal analysis (CRTA) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) were used to investigate the adsorbed water layers and the surface properties of different commercial activated carbons. A simple method is proposed to obtain information on the properties of the adsorbed water film and the surface heterogeneity of the materials studied. This method utilizes TG mass loss and the first derivative of the DTG mass loss curves with respect to temperature and time, obtained during programmed liquid thermodesorption. The obtained TG mass loss curves, which reflect the energetic heterogeneity, consisted of steps and inflections which were associated with the mechanism of wetting of the solid surfaces. The heights of these steps and inflections depend on the adsorption capacity, the adsorption potential and the nature and number of the active centers of the carbon samples studied. The values of the total porosity and the surface phase capacity obtained by this method are in good agreement with those estimated on the basis of independent methods. The behaviour of water/carbon samples was studied by means of DSC at subambient and elevated temperatures. The experimental results provided novel data on the structural heterogeneity, the thermal stability of the water/carbon interface and its phase and structural transitions.Support from the Research Council of Kent State University (Ohio, USA) is acknowledged.
