We demonstrate the generation of optically carried, broadly tunable, millimeter-wave signals with a dual-frequency single-axis Nd:YAG laser. A frequency difference as high as 127 GHz is reached thanks to an intracavity electro-optically tunable etalon made of lead zirconate tantalate (PLZT) ceramic. We show that the available frequency range is actually limited by the bandwidth of the amplification medium, namely, far beyond the usually accepted free spectral range value in the case of a single-axis laser. Both coarse discrete and fine continuous tunabilities are obtained with the same voltage-controlled device, opening the way to widely tunable low-phase-noise optically carried submillimeter or even terahertz sources.  相似文献

The rainbow refractrometry, under its different configurations (classical and global), is an attractive technique to extract information from droplets in evaporation such as diameter and temperature. Recently a new processing strategy has been developed which increases dramatically the size and refractive index measurements accuracy for homogeneous droplets. Nevertheless, for mono component as well as for multicomponent droplets, the presence of temperature and/or of concentration gradients induce the presence of a gradient of refractive index which affects the interpretation of the recorded signals. In this publication, the effect of radial gradient on rainbow measurements with a high accuracy never reached previously is quantified.  相似文献

Summary A finite element formulation is developed for the analysis of a general discontinuous potential field (with multiply connected regions) and leads to the solution of the Dirichlet, Neumann and Mixed Boundary Value Problems. Subcritical compressibility effects are included. The finite element model is presented in detail for the two-dimensional and axisymmetric case, but may readily be extended to the general three-dimensional case. For the representation of general boundary conditions (linear interdependencies between the unknown variables) two alternative methods are formulated. Several typical examples including compressibility, circulatory (lifting) flow and the analysis of infinite cascades demonstrate the wide applicability and accuracy of the method.
Übersicht Für die Berechnung von allgemeinen diskontinuierlichen Potentialfeldern mit mehrfach zusammenhängenden Bereichen wird eine Formulierung für die Methode der finiten Elemente entwickelt. Dies führt zur einfachen Lösung von Randwertproblemen erster, zweiter und dritter Art, wobei auch Kompressibilitätseffekte im unterkritischen Bereich berücksichtigt werden können. Ein Finite-Element-Typ wird im Detail für den zweidimensionalen und rotationssymmetrischen Fall abgeleitet, jedoch kann die Darstellung leicht auf den allgemeinen dreidimensionalen Fall ausgedehnt werden. Für die Verwirklichung allgemeiner Randbedingungen (d. h. Berücksichtigung von linear abhängigen unbekannten Variablen) werden zwei Methoden formuliert.Mehrere typische Beispiele, welche Kompressibilität, Auftrieb und die Berechnung unendlicher Kaskadenströmung behandeln, zeigen dic Vielfalt der Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und die Genauigkeit der Methode.

Pickering emulsions are surfactant‐free dispersions of two immiscible fluids that are kinetically stabilized by colloidal particles. For ecological reasons, these systems have undergone a resurgence of interest to mitigate the use of synthetic surfactants and solvents. Moreover, the use of colloidal particles as stabilizers provides emulsions with original properties compared to surfactant‐stabilized emulsions, microemulsions, and micellar systems. Despite these specific advantages, the application of Pickering emulsions to catalysis has been rarely explored. This Minireview describes very recent examples of hybrid and composite amphiphilic materials for the design of interfacial catalysts in Pickering emulsions with special emphasis on their assets and challenges for industrially relevant biphasic reactions in fine chemistry, biofuel upgrading, and depollution.  相似文献

Lichens are symbiotic associations formed mainly by ascomycete fungi and green algae or cyanobacteria. The presence of chitin in the fungal cell wall has been revealed by previous studies. Considering the presence of fungi in the lichens, this work determines the presence of chitin in a cosmopolitan lichen species Xanthoria parietina. In this study, chitin was derived from a lichen species for the first time and its physicochemical properties were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and elemental analysis. The dry weight chitin content of X. parietina was 4.23%, and this chitin was in the α-form. The crystalline index value of the lichen chitin was calculated as 70.1%. The chitin from X. parietina had a smooth surface.  相似文献

采用溶胶-凝胶法制备CaO-P2O5-SiO2-Na2O-B2O3体系前驱体粉末,用CaF2替代部分CaO再次制备前驱体粉末。 通过TG-DSC分析确定结晶温度为865 ℃,经过热处理获得主晶相为Na6Ca3Si6O18的玻璃陶瓷。 通过X射线衍射(XRD)、傅里叶红外光谱(FTIR)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)等技术手段及体外生物活性实验分析玻璃陶瓷的显微结构及性能。 结果表明,CaF2的加入能提高玻璃陶瓷的体积密度、抗折强度和弹性模量,并且不会破坏玻璃陶瓷的生物活性。  相似文献

The scope of this paper concerns the heating process of fuel droplets injected in a hot gaseous environment. The two colors laser-induced fluorescence technique allows measuring the temperature distribution within a droplet by scanning the droplet volume by a sufficiently small probe volume compared to the droplet volume itself. The temperature field is reconstructed using two approaches which have been compared. One is based on a geometrical optics model and the other is based on the 3D calculation of the internal excitation field within the droplet, using the generalized Lorenz-Mie theory. Experimental results have been obtained on a combusting monodisperse ethanol droplet stream (diameter around 200 m).  相似文献
