Complex formation of carbonyls,carboxylates, and acetylacetonates of main-group and transition metals with hydroperoxides and alcohols

The thermodynamic and structural parameters of complexes formed by secondary and tertiary alcohols and hydroperoxides with carbonyls, carboxylates, and acetylacetonates of variable-valence metals were determined. Relationship between the Performance of Tars and Bitumens from Commercial West-Siberian Crude Oil and Their Structural-Group Composition

The structural-group compositions of polar and nonpolar components of malthenes from tars of West-Siberian crude oil and of quality bitumen BDUS 70/100 and substandard bitumen BDUS 60/90 produced from these tars are compared.     

Modification of Paving Asphalts with an Elastoplastic

BND 60/90 and BND 89/130 paving asphalts were modified by addition of DST-30 elastoplastic and petroleum plasticizers. Their performance at temperatures from -(32-35) to +(90-95)°C was examined in comparison with that of commercial unmodified asphalts, which are efficient at temperatures from -(23-27) to +(44-50)°C.     

Softeners for Rubber and Corrosion-Resistant Coatings Based on Shale and Petroleum Raw Materials

A broad spectrum of softeners for vulcanized rubber and corrosion-resistant materials are obtained by mechanical mixing of kerogen shale (Kerogen-70¹) with commercial products of petroleum refining and shale chemistry such as oil tar, bitumens BND 90/130 and G, softener A-10, residue of atmospheric distillation of crude shale oil boiling above 350°C, and also by thermal treatment of the indicated mixtures at 360-400°C.     

Monitoring of the Sources of Environmental Pollution with Crude Oil

The possibility of preliminary identification of sources of environmental pollution with crude oil was studied by IR Fourier spectroscopy, gamma-ray spectrometry, chromatography-mass spectrometry, and capillary gas-liquid chromatography with oil samples from six fields of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District and samples of soil and ground water contaminated with these oils.
