Extensions of partially ordered partial abelian monoids

The notion of a partially ordered partial abelian monoid is introduced and extensions of partially ordered abelian monoids by partially ordered abelian groups are studied. Conditions for the extensions to exist are found. The cases when both the above mentioned structures have the Riesz decomposition property, or are lattice ordered, are treated. Some applications to effect algebras and MV-algebras are shown.     

Connection between joint distribution and compatibility

In the paper theorems on the connection between the joint distribution and the pairwise compatibility of relativized observables are proved. Three basic categories of compatibility of observables on a quantum logic are defined: (i) compatibility, (ii) partial compatibility, (iii) total incompatibility.     

Mechanismus der Bildung und des Zerfalls von Amidkomplexen,I Kupfer (II) und N,N′-Diglycylpropylendiamin

The kinetics of the formation and dissociation of the copper (II) complex with N, N′-Diglycyl-propylendiamine has been studied. In the formation reaction an intermediate was observed, the structure and reactivity of which is discussed. The rate of dissociation of the complex is proportional to [H⁺]². This is explained by a rapid proton addition to one of the amino groups, followed by the slow reaction of a second proton with the coordinated amide group. The effect of acetate buffer, which increases the dissociation rate, is discussed.     

Alkoholyse aromatischer Carbonsäureester

The alcoholysis of various esters of aromatic carboxylic esters with octadecanol in the presence of lead stearate was investigated by chromatographic analysis of the reaction mixtures. The reactivity of the esters was found to be strongly affected by the substitution pattern of the aromatic nucleus as well as by the structure of the alkoxy group. Electron donating substituents in a suitable position lead to a remarkable increase in reactivity compared to the unsubstituted alkyl esters.
