A rapid route to 5,5‐ and 5,6‐ bicyclic systems is provided by an 1,3‐alkyl‐shift process mediated by a hypervalent iodine reagent on aromatics. The structures obtained contain several unsaturations with different behaviors and reactivities. Such diversity allows further elaborations for the rapid formation of compact systems present in a variety of natural products. The potential for further transformations has been demonstrated by performing a double Michael addition. This cyclization process is regio‐ and stereoselective due to the presence of a former benzylic substituent. The synthesis of a series of NiII–salen‐based complexes with the general formula of [Ni(H2L)] (H4L=R2‐N,N′‐bis[R1‐5‐(4′‐benzoic acid)salicylidene]; H4L1: R2=2,3‐diamino‐2,3‐dimethylbutane and R1=H; H4L2: R2=1,2‐diaminoethane and R1=tert‐butyl and H4L3: R2=1,2‐diaminobenzene and R1=tert‐butyl) is presented. Their electronic structure and self‐assembly was studied. The organic ligands of the salen complexes are functionalized with peripheral carboxylic groups for driving molecular self‐assembly through hydrogen bonding. In addition, other substituents, that is, tert‐butyl and diamine bridges (2,3‐diamino‐2,3‐dimethylbutane, 1,2‐diaminobenzene or 1,2‐diaminoethane), were used to tune the two‐dimensional (2D) packing of these building blocks. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal that the spatial distribution of the LUMOs is affected by these substituents, in contrast with the HOMOs, which remain unchanged. Scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) shows that the three complexes self‐assemble into three different 2D nanoarchitectures at the solid–liquid interface on graphite. Two structures are porous and one is close‐packed. These structures are stabilized by hydrogen bonds in one dimension, while the 2D interaction is governed by van der Waals forces and is tuned by the nature of the substituents, as confirmed by theoretical calculations. Persistent noncyclic phosphoranyl radicals have been prepared and observed by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) for the first time. They were obtained by UV-photolysis of a solution containing a bis(trialkylsilyl) peroxide (R = Me, Et) and a tris(trialkylsilyl) phosphite (R = Me, Et, iPr). EPR parameters (a(P) approximately 100 mT) are typical of phosphoranyl radicals exhibiting a trigonal-bipyramidal structure, with the odd electron in an equatorial site. Analysis of the pseudo-first-order decay shows that these phosphoranyl radicals decay by S(H)2 homolytic substitution on the bis(trialkylsilyl) peroxide and by loss of a trialkylsilyloxyl radical (alpha-scission reaction). Both the S(H)2 and alpha-scission reactions depend on the steric bulk of the alkyl groups, that is, the bulkier the alkyl group, the slower the S(H)2 and alpha-scission reactions. 相似文献

Absolute rate constants are reported for the addition of the 1‐[(tert‐butoxy)carbonyl]ethyl (= 2‐(1,1‐dimethylethoxy)‐1‐methyl‐2‐oxoethyl) radical .CHMeCO2(t‐Bu) to several cyclic and monosubstituted alkenes in MeCN as obtained by time‐resolved electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). The O-alkylation reaction by epichlorohydrin of some natural phenolic compounds such as 4-methylcatechol, gallic acid, protocatechuic acid, pyrogallol and resorcinol was investigated. Phenolic compounds reacted first with epichlorohydrin in the presence of benzyltriethylammonium chloride as phase transfer catalyst. Then, an aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide was added.It was demonstrated that the two competitive mechanisms involved in the O-alkylation reaction were highly dependent of the starting material. The O-alkylated products obtained in this reaction could be further used as bisphenol A substitutes in the synthesis of epoxy resins pre-polymers. 相似文献

α‐Halogenoacetanilides (X=F, Cl, Br) were examined as H‐bonding organocatalysts designed for the double activation of C?O bonds through NH and CH donor groups. Depending on the halide substituents, the double H‐bond involved a nonconventional C?H???O interaction with either a H?CXn (n=1–2, X=Cl, Br) or a H?CAr bond (X=F), as shown in the solid‐state crystal structures and by molecular modeling. In addition, the catalytic properties of α‐halogenoacetanilides were evaluated in the ring‐opening polymerization of lactide, in the presence of a tertiary amine as cocatalyst. The α‐dichloro‐ and α‐dibromoacetanilides containing electron‐deficient aromatic groups afforded the most attractive double H‐bonding properties towards C?O bonds, with a N?H???O???H?CX2 interaction. 相似文献

A metallodendron functionalized with dicyclohexyldiphosphino palladium complex was synthesized. The metallodendron was grafted onto core–shell superparamagnetic nanoparticles (γ‐Fe2O3/polymer, 200–500 nm) to give optimal catalytic reactivity in cross‐coupling reactions. The grafted nanoparticles were used as recoverable and reusable catalysts for Suzuki C? C cross‐coupling reactions. They showed remarkable reactivity towards iodo‐ and bromoarenes under mild conditions, and unprecedented reactivity towards chloroarenes. On completion of the catalytic reaction, the catalysts were readily recovered by using a simple magnet to attract the superparamagnetic grafted nanoparticles. Catalysts were recovered more than 25 times with almost no discernable loss of reactivity. 相似文献
