The one-dimensional, polymeric compound (C15H11N3)Eu(H2O)2(NO3)(Pt(CN)4).CH3CN (1) has been shown to display an efficient donor-acceptor intramolecular energy-transfer (IET) process where ligand donors transfer energy to the Eu (III) acceptor. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction has been used to investigate the structural features of this compound in order to help understand the observed IET process. Crystallographic data: 1, monoclinic, space group P2(1)/c, a = 12.835(1) A, b = 15.239(1) A, c = 13.751(2) A, beta = 105.594(9) degrees , V = 2590.8(5) A(3), and Z = 4 (T = 290 K).  相似文献

The syntheses are reported for two novel Tb(3+) heterotrimetallic cyanometallates, K(2)[Tb(H(2)O)(4)(Pt(CN)(4))(2)]Au(CN)(2)·2H(2)O (1) and [Tb(C(10)N(2)H(8))(H(2)O)(4)(Pt(CN)(4))(Au(CN)(2))]·1.5C(10)N(2)H(8)·2H(2)O (2) (C(10)N(2)H(8) = 2,2'-bipyridine). Both compounds have been isolated as colorless crystals, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction has been used to investigate their structural features. Crystallographic data (MoKα, λ = 0.71073 ?, T = 290 K): 1, tetragonal, space group P4(2)/nnm, a = 11.9706(2) ?, c = 17.8224(3) ?, V = 2553.85(7) ?(3), Z = 4; 2, triclinic, space group P1, a = 10.0646(2) ?, b = 10.7649(2) ?, c = 17.6655(3) ?, α = 101.410(2)°, β = 92.067(2)°, γ = 91.196(2)°, V = 1874.14(6) ?(3), Z = 2. For the case of 1, the structure contains Au(2)Pt(4) hexameric noble metal clusters, while 2 includes Au(2)Pt(2) tetrameric clusters. The clusters are alike in that they contain Au-Au and Au-Pt, but not Pt-Pt, metallophilic interactions. Also, the discrete clusters are directly coordinated to Tb(3+) and sensitize its emission in both solid-state compounds, 1 and 2. The Photoluminescence (PL) spectra of 1 show broad excitation bands corresponding to donor groups when monitored at the Tb(3+) ion f-f transitions, which is typical of donor/acceptor energy transfer (ET) behavior in the system. The compound also displays a broad emission band at ~445 nm, assignable to a donor metal centered (MC) emission of the Au(2)Pt(4) clusters. The PL properties of 2 show a similar Tb(3+) emission in the visible region and a lack of donor-based emission at room temperature; however, at 77 K a weak, broad emission occurs at 400 nm, indicative of uncoordinated 2,2'-bipyridine, along with strong Tb(3+) transitions. The absolute quantum yield (QY) for the Tb(3+) emission ((5)D(4) → (7)F(J (J = 6-3))) in 1 is 16.3% with a lifetime of 616 μs when excited at 325 nm. In contrast the weak MC emission at 445 nm has a quantum yield of 0.9% with a significantly shorter lifetime of 0.61 μs. For 2 the QY value decreases to 9.3% with a slightly shorter lifetime of 562 μs. The reduced QY in 2 is considered to be a consequence of (1) the slightly increased donor-acceptor excited energy gap relative to the optimal gap suggested for Tb(3+) and (2) Tb(3+) emission quenching via a bpy ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) excited state.  相似文献

In the present work we introduce a straightforward fluorescent assay that can be applied in studies of the transbilayer movement (flip-flop) of fluorescent lipid analogues across supported phospholipid bilayers (SPBs). The assay is based on the distance dependent fluorescence quenching by light absorbing surfaces. Applied to SPBs this effect leads to strong differences in fluorescence lifetimes when the dye moves from the outer lipid leaflet to the leaflet in contact with the support. Herein, we present the basic principles of this novel approach, and comment on its advantages over the commonly used methods for investigating flip-flop dynamics across lipid bilayers. We test the assay on the fluorescent lipid analog Atto633-DOPE and the 3-hydroxyflavone F2N12S probe in SPBs composed of DOPC/ DOPS lipids. Moreover, we compare and discuss the flip-flop rates of the probes with respect to their lateral diffusion coefficients.  相似文献

We study ultrafast photoluminescence (PL) dynamics of Si nanocrystals (NCs). The early-time PL spectra (<1 ns), which show strong dependence on NC size, are attributed to emission involving NC quantized states. The PL spectra recorded for long delays (>10 ns) are almost independent of NC size and are likely due to surface-related recombination. Based on instantaneous PL intensities measured 2 ps after excitation, we determine intrinsic radiative rate constants for NCs of different sizes. These constants sharply increase for confinement energies greater than approximately 1 eV indicating a fast, exponential growth of the oscillator strength of zero-phonon, pseudodirect transitions.  相似文献

The reaction of UO(3) with V(2)O(5) and KIO(4) under mild hydrothermal conditions produces K(2)[(UO(2))(2)(VO)(2)(IO(6))(2)O].H(2)O (1) in the form of orange acicular crystals. The structure of 1 consists of UO(6), VO(6), and IO(6) distorted octahedra that are assembled into a polar, open-framework structure. The distorted VO(6) and IO(6) octahedra edge-share to form chains that run down the c-axis. Each VO(6) octahedron also shares a vertex with an adjacent vanadium atom to link the chains together into a ribbon. The IO(6) units also partake in corner-sharing with the UO(6) units to create interconnected elliptical tubes. The major channels in 1 are filled with K(+) cations and water molecules. The polarity of this compound is caused by alignment of distorted vanadyl hexaoxoiodate ribbons and UO(6) trapezoidal bipyramids resulting in a large second-harmonic generation response of 300 times that of alpha-quartz. The hydrothermal reaction of MoO(3) with BaH(3)IO(6) at 180 degrees C for 3 days results in the formation of Ba[(MoO(2))(6)(IO(4))(2)O(4)] x H(2)O (1). Under similar conditions, the reaction of Ba(OH)(2) x 8H(2)O with MoO(3) and Ba(IO(4))(2) x 6H(2)O yields Ba(3)[(MoO(2))(2)(IO(6))(2)] x 2H(2)O (2). The structure of 1, determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, consists of corner- and edge-sharing distorted MoO(6) octahedra that create two-dimensional slabs. Contained within this molybdenum oxide framework are approximately C(2v) tetraoxoiodate(V) anions, IO(4)(3-), that are involved in bonding with five Mo(VI) centers. The two equatorial oxygen atoms of the IO(4)(3-) anion chelate a single Mo(VI) center, whereas the axial atoms are mu(3)-oxo groups and complete the octahedra of four MoO(6) units. The coordination of the tetraoxoiodate(V) anion to these five highly electropositive centers is probably responsible for stabilizing the substantial anionic charge of this anion. The Ba(2+) cations separate the layers from one another and form long ionic contacts with neighboring oxygen atoms and a water molecule. Compound 2 also contains distorted MoO(6) octahedra. However, these solely edge-share with octahedral hexaoxoiodate(VII), IO(6)(5-), anions to form zigzagging one-dimensional, (1)(infinity)[(MoO(2))(IO(6))](3-), chains that are polar. These chains are separated from one another by Ba(2+) cations that are coordinated by additional water molecules. Bond valence sums for the iodine atoms in 1 and 2 are 5.01 and 7.03, respectively. A quantitative analysis of NMR proton relaxation in hen egg albumen and yolk is undertaken to research the causes of quality loss during the first few days of storage and to access the feasibility of an on-line NMR sensor of internal egg quality. It is shown that the change in the transverse relaxation in thick egg albumen mainly results from an increase in proton exchange rate resulting from a pH increase attributed to loss of carbon dioxide by diffusion through the eggshell. The results suggest that the low-field T1 is the best relaxation time indicator of albumen quality.  相似文献
