We consider the effects of stimulated Raman scattering on ultrashort light pulses propagating in long-haul fiber transmission lines. We propose an efficient method for suppressing the soliton self-frequency shift by use of upshifted filters without any compromise in signal-to-noise ratio and with the pulse stability preserved.  相似文献

Summary: This paper presents a computational study of phase separation‐phase ordering‐texturing in blends of polymer coils and rod‐like nematic liquid crystals under the presence of magnetic fields, using an extended version of the Matsuyama‐Evans‐Cates model (Phys. Rev. E 2000 , 61, 2977). This work demonstrates that demixing in these blends leads to droplet morphologies with tunable droplet shapes and director textures. In contrast to filled nematics, where solids are suspended in a nematic liquid crystal matrix, demixing in coil‐mesogenic rods blends leads to nematic emulsions, in which the deformable viscoelastic polymer drops are suspended in a nematic matrix. Under strong anchoring conditions, the imposition of a magnetic field leads to a director re‐orientation that due to strong anchoring produces a droplet shape change. Magnetic field‐induced shape transitions in these blends are shown to be second order with a finite critical field threshold that diverges as anchoring strength vanishes. A morphological‐texture diagram summarizes the magnetic field‐anchoring conditions that promote anisotropic shapes. This work presents additional material processing routes to design and control bi‐phasic morphologies in polymer‐liquid crystal blend.

Cobalt(III) complexes, of two potentially pyrazole-derived bidentate ligands (with one ambidentate donor site), 3,5-dimethyl-1-(N-methyl/ethyl)thiocarbamylpyrazole (HL1 for N-methyl, HL2 for N-ethyl) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis and 1H NMR spectral studies. The structure of Co(L2)3 has been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. The complex (triclinic, space group P ) has a distorted octahedral structure with the ambidentate ligands coordinated to the Co(III) ion as uninegative bidentate chelating agents via the pyrazole ring nitrogen (tertiary) and the thiocarbamyl iminyl nitrogen atoms. The distortion from the regular octahedral geometry is ascribed to the stereochemical limitations imposed by the planar bidentate ligands.  相似文献

This is the first report on the inventory of radionuclides produced in 1.4 GeV proton induced reaction on Lead–Bismuth Eutectic (LBE) targets. LBE targets of 6 mm diameter and 1 to 8 mm lengths were irradiated with 1.4 GeV protons. The radionuclides ranging from 7Be (53.12 days) to 207Po (5.8 h) were identified in the samples with the help of time resolved γ-ray spectroscopy. However, there is no signature of formation of At radioisotopes, which can be produced by the interaction of secondary particles, typical for thick targets.  相似文献

This paper describes a general method for the synthesis of homoallylic alcohols and amines by nucleophilic addition reaction of allyltributylstannane to carbonyl compounds and aldimines where iodine acts as a catalyst in H2O/acetic acid (1:1) medium. Only 10 mol% of I2 is required for various organic transformations. By using this process, various homoallylic alcohols and amines are produced in good to excellent yields.  相似文献

A systematic study of the reaction of 1,4-dihydrazinophthalazine (DHPH) with 1,3-dicarbonyls [viz., acetylacetone (acac), dibenzoylmethane (bzbz), and 1-benzoylacetone (bzac)] varying the reaction conditions was carried out to obtain the phthalazine derivatives (14). One-pot reaction of DHPH with acac led to the formation of two compounds 1 and 2, with various factors such as the presence of the acid or base, amount of the acac, time of reflux, and the temperature. The reaction conditions of DHPH with bzbz or bzac are sort of different to isolate the products 3 and 4, respectively. The derivatives (14) have been characterized by elemental analyses, 1H NMR, and electrospray ionization–mass spectrometry (ESIMS) and the cytotoxic activity of the compounds 14 was evaluated on HeLa cell line.
