Dietary eugenol helps prevent free radical-induced and lifestyle-related chronic illnesses such as cancer, autoimmune disorders, cardiovascular disease, and aging. A technique for extracting eugenol from green basil (Ocimum sanctum) leaves is created using a combination of extraction variable optimization and the organization of an artificial neural network (ANN) model. For thermally degradable bioactive eugenol, solvent extraction is the recommended separation method. With the following optimum variables: polarity of the solvent of 0.009, the solid-solvent ratio of 1.0 ?g/20 ?mL, stirring speed of 200 ?rpm, extraction temperature of 40 ?°C, and extraction duration of 40 ?min, a yield of 5.39 × ?10?3 ?kg eugenol per kilogram dried leaves of basil was found. At 10 ?min of batch extraction, the highest throughput of eugenol was found to be 5.4 ?× ?10?3 ?kg ?m?3 ?s?1. Additionally, experimental data are used to construct the yield prediction model. The statistical parameters that are obtained in model evaluation encourage the use of the predicted model for the commercialization of eugenol isolation.  相似文献

The cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme is an important target for drug discovery and development of novel anti-inflammatory agents. Selective COX-2 inhibitors have the advantage of reduced side-effects, which result from COX-1 inhibition that is usually observed with nonselective COX inhibitors. In this study, the design and synthesis of a new series of 7-methoxy indolizines as bioisostere indomethacin analogues (5a–e) were carried out and evaluated for COX-2 enzyme inhibition. All the compounds showed activity in micromolar ranges, and the compound diethyl 3-(4-cyanobenzoyl)-7-methoxyindolizine-1,2-dicarboxylate (5a) emerged as a promising COX-2 inhibitor with an IC50 of 5.84 µM, as compared to indomethacin (IC50 = 6.84 µM). The molecular modeling study of indolizines indicated that hydrophobic interactions were the major contribution to COX-2 inhibition. The title compound diethyl 3-(4-bromobenzoyl)-7-methoxyindolizine-1,2-dicarboxylate (5c) was subjected for single-crystal X-ray studies, Hirshfeld surface analysis, and energy framework calculations. The X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the molecule (5c) crystallizes in the monoclinic crystal system with space group P 21/n with a = 12.0497(6)Å, b = 17.8324(10)Å, c = 19.6052(11)Å, α = 90.000°, β = 100.372(1)°, γ = 90.000°, and V = 4143.8(4)Å3. In addition, with the help of Crystal Explorer software program using the B3LYP/6-31G(d, p) basis set, the theoretical calculation of the interaction and graphical representation of energy value was measured in the form of the energy framework in terms of coulombic, dispersion, and total energy.  相似文献

Contact glow discharge electrolysis (CGDE)/plasma electrolysis (PE) which is associated with the formation of a light emitting plasma around an electrode in a high conductivity electrolyte solution at moderate voltages up to ~1 kV, has in recent years attracted considerable interest as a tool for generating a large quantity of heat and a high yield of solvent-split radicals. These potentialities of CGDE/PE have, in fact, been exploited by a large number of investigators for applications ranging over areas as varied as synthetic chemistry, waste water treatment, degradation of polymers, electrosurgical tools, surface engineering, nanoparticle fabrication, machining and micro-machining, hydrogen production with very encouraging results. Thin films of Al doped ZnO (Al:ZnO) were deposited on two substrates (Si and glass) at room temperature and 300°C using DC magnetron sputtering. These films were bombarded with 50 keV H+ beam at several fluences. The pristine and ion beam irradiated films were analysed by X‐ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, and UV‐Vis spectroscopy. The X‐ray diffraction analysis, Hall measurements, Raman and UV‐Vis spectroscopy confirm that the structural and transport properties of Al:ZnO films do not change substantially with beam irradiation at chosen fluences. However, in comparison to film deposited at room temperature, the Al:ZnO thin film deposited at 300°C shows increased transmittance (from 70% to approximately 90%) with ion beam irradiation at highest fluence. The studies of surface morphology by scanning electron microscopy reveal that the ion irradiation yields smoothening of the films, which also increases with ion fluences. The films deposited at elevated temperature are smoother than those deposited at room temperature. In the paper, we discuss the interaction of 50 keV H+ ions with Al:ZnO films in terms of radiation stability in devices.  相似文献

The photoinduced dynamics of pyrrole at the – S0 and – S0 conical intersections has been investigated by multi-mode time-dependent quantum wave-packet calculations. Diabatic potential-energy surfaces have been constructed for both conical intersection using accurate multi-reference ab initio electronic-structure calculations. In addition to the NH stretching coordinate, the three (four) symmetry-allowed coupling modes of A2 (B1) symmetry have been considered for the – S0 (– S0) conical intersections. Wave-packet dynamics calculations have been performed for three-dimensional models, taking account of the two dominant coupling modes of each conical intersection. The electronic population-transfer processes at the conical intersections, the branching ratio for the dissociation to the ground and excited states of the pyrrolyl radical, and their dependence on the initial preparation of the system have been investigated. It is shown that the excitation of the NH stretching mode strongly enhances the photodissociation rate, while the excitation of the strongest coupling mode has a pronounced effect on the branching ratio of the photodissociation process. Although the inclusion of the second (weaker) coupling mode has little effect on the electronic population dynamics, it leads to interesting changes of the nodal pattern of the wave packet at the conical intersections. The calculations provide insight into the effect of the multiple coupling modes on the process of direct photodissociation through a conical intersection.  相似文献

Nuclear dynamics following the electron detachment of the Cl–HD anion is investigated by a time-dependent wave packet propagation approach. Photodetachment of Cl–HD promotes it to the van der Waals well region of the reactive ClHD potential energy surface. The latter is a manifold of three electronic states coupled by the electronic and (relativistic) spin-orbit coupling. Among the three surfaces, the electronic ground one is of 2Σ1/2 type and yields products in their electronic ground state. The remaining two, 2Π3/2 and 2Π1/2, on the other hand, yield products in their excited electronic states. However, these two can yield products in their electronic ground state via nonadiabatic transitions to the 2Σ1/2 state. The channel specific, HCl + D or DCl + H or Cl + HD, dissociation probabilities on this latter state are calculated both in the uncoupled and coupled surface situations. Separate initial transitions (via, photodetachment) to the 2Σ1/2, 2Π3/2 and 2Π1/2 adiabatic electronic states of ClHD are considered in order to elucidate the nonadiabatic coupling effects on this important class of chemical reactions initiated by an electron detachment.  相似文献

A new dialdehyde monomer, 4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidine) bis(p‐phenoxy) benzaldehyde, was prepared; it led to a number of novel poly‐Schiff bases in reactions with different diamines, such as 4,4′‐diaminidiphenyl ether, 4,4′‐(isopropylidine) bis(p‐phenoxy) dianiline, 4,4′‐(hexafluoroisopropylidine) bis(p‐phenoxy) dianiline, and benzidine. The polymers were characterized with viscosity measurements, nitrogen analyses, and IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. These poly‐Schiff bases showed good thermal stability up to 491 °C for 10% weight loss in thermogravimetric analysis under air and high glass‐transition temperatures up to 215 °C in differential scanning calorimetry. These polymers were soluble in a wide range of organic solvents, such as CHCl3, dimethylformamide (DMF), dimethyl sulfoxide, and 1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidon (NMP), and were insoluble in toluene and acetone.
