Abstract  A new isomer of [Ni(tet-a)]2+ (assigned as γ-isomer) (tet-a = C-meso-5,5,7,12,12,14−hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane), which is found in the complex of trans-γ-[Ni(tet-a)(NCS)2], has been isolated from the reaction of β-[Ni(tet-a)](ClO4)2 with NaSCN in a mixture of MeOH–H2O (1:1, v/v) solution and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The complex crystallizes in orthorhombic Pca2(1) space group with the crystal cell parameters of a = 12.5787(10) ?, b = 11.6834(10) ?, c = 15.4019(12) ?, V = 2263.5(3) ?3, and Z = 4. The crystal structure shows that the complex is noncentrosymmetric. The conformations of the six-asymmetric centers are assigned as 1R,4R,8S,11S,7R,14S or 1S,4S,8R,11R,7S,14R (Trans-III). The coordination polyhedron around the nickel atom is axially elongated octahedron with an N6 chromophore. The association of the complex units through N(3)–H···S(1) (2.665 ?) hydrogen bonding interactions leads one-dimensional hydrogen bonded network along c-axis. Light‐harvesting complexes (LHC) in photosynthetic organisms perform the major function of light absorption and energy transportation. Optical spectrum of LHC provides a detailed understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in the excitation energy transfer (EET) processes, which has been widely studied. Here, we study how the geometric property of LHC in Rhodospirillum (Rs.) molischianum would affect its spectral characteristics and energy transfer process. By adopting the effective Hamiltonian and the dipole–dipole approximation, we calculate the exciton level structures for the LH2 ring and LH1 ring and the energy transfer time between different LHCs under various structural parameters and different rotational symmetries. Our numerical results show that the LHC's absorption peaks and the energy transfer time between different LHCs can be modified by changing the geometric configurations. Our study may be beneficial to the applications in designing highly efficient photovoltaic cell and other artificial photosynthetic systems.  相似文献

A structural study of ligand exchange on chalcogen‐passivated copper nanoclusters is far less developed. Herein, we report the synthesis of polyhydrido copper nanoclusters [Cu20H11{Se2P(O iBu)2}9] ( 2 ) passivated by Se‐donor ligands via ligand replacement reaction on [Cu20H11{S2P(O iPr)2}9] ( 1 ) with NH4[Se2P(O iBu)2]. In parallel to the synthesis of 2 , cluster [Cu20H11{S2P(CH2CH2Ph)2}9] ( 4 ) was produced by the ligand exchange reaction on a new derivative of 1 , that is [Cu20H11{S2P(O nPr)2}9] ( 3 ). Solid state structures of both clusters 2 and 4 were unequivocally established by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies and cluster 4 epitomizes exceptional case to preserve both the shape and size of the nanocluster during the course of ligand exchange. Structurally precise cluster 2 is the second example where the copper hydride nanocluster is stabilized by Se‐donor ligands. The anatomy of 2 can be visualized as a twisted cuboctahedral Cu13 core, two triangular faces of which are capped by a Cu6 cupola and a single Cu atom along the C3 rotational axis.  相似文献

The existence of a homeostatic mechanism regulating reactive oxygen/nitrogen species (ROS/RNS) amounts inside phagolysosomes has been invoked to account for the efficiency of this process but could not be unambiguously documented. Now, intracellular electrochemical analysis with platinized nanowire electrodes (Pt‐NWEs) allowed monitoring ROS/RNS effluxes with sub‐millisecond resolution from individual phagolysosomes impacting onto the electrode inserted inside a living macrophage. This shows for the first time that the consumption of ROS/RNS by their oxidation at the nanoelectrode surface stimulates the production of significant ROS/RNS amounts inside phagolysosomes. These results establish the existence of the long‐postulated ROS/RNS homeostasis and allows its kinetics and efficiency to be quantified. ROS/RNS concentrations may then be maintained at sufficiently high levels for sustaining proper pathogen digestion rates without endangering the macrophage internal structures.  相似文献

By chemical cross‐linking the amidoxime group onto dual‐surfaces of natural ore materials, namely halloysite nanotubes (HNTs), an efficient adsorbent, AO‐HNTs, is developed. AO‐HNTs show high uranium adsorption capacity of 456.24 mg g?1 in 32 ppm uranium‐spiked simulated seawater. In natural seawater, AO‐HNTs reach the high uranium extraction capacity of 9.01 mg g?1 after 30 days’ field test. The dual‐surface amidoximated hollow nanotubular AO‐HNTs exhibit more coordination active sites for uranium adsorption, which is attributed to the high and fast uranium adsorption capacity. Because of the stable natural ore structure, AO‐HNTs also show long service life. Benefiting from the low cost of HNTs, the cost for uranium extraction from seawater is close to the uranium price in the spot uranium market, suggesting that AO‐HNTs could be used for economical extraction of uranium from the oceans.  相似文献

Solar‐driven interfacial water evaporation yield is severely limited by the low efficiency of solar thermal energy. Herein, the injection control technique (ICT) achieves a capillary water state in rGO foam and effectively adjusts the water motion mode therein. Forming an appropriate amount of capillary water in the 3D graphene foam can greatly increase the vapor escape channel, by ensuring that the micrometer‐sized pore channels do not become completely blocked by water and by exposing as much evaporation area as possible while preventing solar heat from being used to heat excess water. The rate of solar steam generation can reach up to 2.40 kg m?2 h?1 under solar illumination of 1 kW m?2, among the best values reported. In addition, solar thermal efficiency approaching 100 % is achieved. This work enhances solar water‐evaporation performance and promotes the application of solar‐driven evaporation systems made of carbon‐based materials.  相似文献
