A mixture of a UV absorber (Tinuvin 234 or Tinuvin 329) and a UV stabilizer (Tinuvin 770) was analyzed using matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI‐MS) without any matrix. Fragmentation patterns of the UV absorbers and stabilizer were also investigated. The mass spectra showed the [M+H]+ ions and some fragment ions. Tinuvin 234, Tinuvin 329, and Tinuvin 770 generated three (m/z 119, 370, 432), one (m/z 252), and two (m/z 124 and 140) fragment ions, repectively. These fragment ions can be used to identify the chemical structures of the UV absorbers and stabilizer. Since the UV absorber performed a role as the matrix, the ion abundance of the UV stabilizer was enhanced by mixing with the UV absorber. When organic materials extracted from polypropylene (PP) containing the UV absorber and stabilizer were directly analyzed using MALDI‐MS without any matrix, the protonated molecule of the UV stabilizer was detected in abundance but the product ions of the UV absorber were not observed. This study extends the upstream flux‐splitting finite‐volume (UFF) scheme to shallow water equations with source terms. Coupling the hydrostatic reconstruction method (HRM) with the UFF scheme achieves a resultant numerical scheme that adequately balances flux gradients and source terms. The proposed scheme is validated in three benchmark problems and applied to flood flows in the natural/irregular river with bridge pier obstructions. The results of the simulations are in satisfactory agreement with the available analytical solutions, experimental data and field measurements. Comparisons of the present results with those obtained by the surface gradient method (SGM) demonstrate the superior stability and higher accuracy of the HRM. The stability test results also show that the HRM requires less CPU time (up to 60%) than the SGM. The proposed well‐balanced UFF scheme is accurate, stable and efficient to solve flow problems involving irregular bed topography. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

A bis‐tert‐alcohol‐functionalized crown‐6‐calix[4]arene (BACCA) was designed and prepared as a multifunctional organic promoter for nucleophilic fluorinations with CsF. By formation of a CsF/BACCA complex, BACCA could release a significantly active and selective fluoride source for SN2 fluorination reactions. The origin of the promoting effects of BACCA was studied by quantum chemical methods. The role of BACCA was revealed to be separation of the metal fluoride to a large distance (>8 Å), thereby producing an essentially “free” F?. The synergistic actions of the crown‐6‐calix[4]arene subunit (whose O atoms coordinate the counter‐cation Cs+) and the terminal tert‐alcohol OH groups (forming controlled hydrogen bonds with F?) of BACCA led to tremendous efficiency in SN2 fluorination of base‐sensitive substrates. 相似文献

The design, fabrication, and analytical use of a poly(methylmethacrylate) (PMMA)-based microfluidic module for nanoelectrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry (nano-ESI-MS/MS) were described. The microfluidic module can be mass-produced at low costs and used as a disposable device to generate nano-ESI-MS/MS signals for protein identification from low amounts of protein samples. Optical switching and structural transformation of GeTe–Sb2Te3 pseudobinary alloys, Ge2Sb2Te5, Ge1Sb2Te4, and Ge1Sb4Te7, were studied for data storage application. As-deposited Ge2Sb2Te5, Ge1Sb2Te4, and Ge1Sb4Te7 thin films were amorphous and they crystallized to FCC and HCP upon heat treatment. Crystallization was accelerated by increasing the proportion of Sb2Te3 rather than GeTe in Ge–Sb–Te compounds; this was observed by reflectivity changes under nanosecond laser irradiation in static tester. The different crystallization kinetics according to composition might be affected by the structural incompatibility of GeTe under the ‘Umbrella Flip’ theory. 相似文献

We study, using fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, translational diffusion in molecularly thin liquids confined within a surface forces apparatus. The diffusion coefficient decreases exponentially from the edges towards the center of the Hertzian contact and further suggests the presence of a small number of distinct diffusion processes. This holds alike a crystallizable fluid (OMCTS) and a glass-former (1,2-propane diol), both of which displayed static friction.
