To investigate the formation of a solid electrolyte interface (SEI) on the Li1+xV3O8 electrode surface in the thermodynamic stability range of the organic electrolyte, we applied scanning photoelectron microscopy (SPEM) to a pristine electrode and to an electrode after ten cycles. The F K-edge absorption spectrum of the cycled electrode showed that LiF forms on the electrode surface during the lithium insertion–extraction process in the Li1+xV3O8/Li cell. The photoelectron spectrum for the cycled electrode showed intense spectral features corresponding to Li 1s, F 2s, F 2p, and P 2p electron signals, whereas these spectral features were of negligible intensity for the pristine electrode. The above results give strong support for the formation of an SEI that consists of LiF and compounds containing phosphorus during operation of the battery. The SPEM images also revealed that the fluorine distribution on the surface of the cycled electrode was inhomogeneous.  相似文献

We map noncommutative (NC) U(1) gauge theory on ℝ C d ×ℝ NC 2n to U(N→∞) Yang–Mills theory on ℝ C d , where ℝ C d is a d-dimensional commutative spacetime while ℝ NC 2n is a 2n-dimensional NC space. The resulting U(N) Yang–Mills theory on ℝ C d is equivalent to that obtained by the dimensional reduction of (d+2n)-dimensional U(N) Yang–Mills theory onto ℝ C d . We show that the gauge-Higgs system (A μ ,Φ a ) in the U(N→∞) Yang–Mills theory on ℝ C d leads to an emergent geometry in the (d+2n)-dimensional spacetime whose metric was determined by Ward a long time ago. In particular, the 10-dimensional gravity for d=4 and n=3 corresponds to the emergent geometry arising from the 4-dimensional N=4{\mathcal{N}}=4 vector multiplet in the AdS/CFT duality. We further elucidate the emergent gravity by showing that the gauge-Higgs system (A μ ,Φ a ) in half-BPS configurations describes self-dual Einstein gravity.  相似文献

Low tropospheric wind measurement with Mie Doppler Lidar   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
A double edge Mie Doppler lidar at 1064 nm was developed in Hefei, China in 2005 for low tropospheric wind measurement. Intercomparison experiments with a wind profiler and a wiresonde were held. Intercomparisons of concurrent lidar and other instrument observations show good agreement with expected measurement accuracy. The examples of validated lidar wind profiles obtained during these experiments as well as an example of continuous wind observations are presented. The instrument has demonstrated the capability of atmospheric wind field measurement from 0.2 to 5 km altitude, achieving below 2 m/s accuracy with 1 min averaging and 21.2 m vertical resolution.  相似文献

We study, using fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, translational diffusion in molecularly thin liquids confined within a surface forces apparatus. The diffusion coefficient decreases exponentially from the edges towards the center of the Hertzian contact and further suggests the presence of a small number of distinct diffusion processes. This holds alike a crystallizable fluid (OMCTS) and a glass-former (1,2-propane diol), both of which displayed static friction. We conclude that friction, the average of an ensemble of molecules, masked massively heterogeneous molecular mobility.  相似文献

A series of titanate-based layered perovskites having large values of the spontaneous polarization P(s) were developed for their applcations to nonvolatile ferroelectric random access memories. Among these, the Nd-modified bismuth titanate [Bi(4-x)Nd(x)Ti(3)O(12) (BNdT)] system exhibited the most remarkable ferroelectric properties. The c-axis oriented BNdT capacitor was characterized by a switchable remanent polarization 2P(r) of over 100 microC/cm(2) and imprinting and fatigue-free behavior. The active Ti site responsible for the giant P(s) was identified with the help of Rietveld analysis, x-ray absorption near-edge structure study, and ab initio quantum computations.  相似文献

The multifarious injection chamber for molecular structure study (MICOSS) experimental system has been developed at the Pohang Accelerator Laboratory X‐ray Free‐Electron Laser for conducting serial femtosecond crystallography. This system comprises several instruments such as a dedicated sample chamber, sample injectors, sample environment diagnostic system and detector stage for convenient distance manipulation. Serial femtosecond crystallography experiments of lysozyme crystals have been conducted successfully. The diffraction peaks have reached to ~1.8 Å resolution at the photon energy of 9.785 keV.  相似文献

New absorption cells designed specifically to achieve stable temperatures down to 66 K inside the sample compartment of an evacuated Bruker IFS-125HR Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) were developed at Connecticut College and tested at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). The temperature stabilized cryogenic cells with path lengths of 24.29 and 20.38 cm were constructed of oxygen free high conductivity (OFHC) copper and fitted with wedged ZnSe windows using vacuum tight indium seals. In operation, the temperature-controlled cooling by a closed-cycle helium refrigerator achieved stability of ±0.01 K. The unwanted absorption features arising from cryodeposits on the cell windows at low temperatures were eliminated by building an internal vacuum shroud box around the cell which significantly minimized the growth of cryodeposits. The effects of vibrations from the closed-cycle helium refrigerator on the FTS spectra were characterized. Using this set up, several high-resolution spectra of methane isotopologues broadened with nitrogen were recorded in the 1200-1800 cm−1 spectral region at various sample temperatures between 79.5 and 296 K. Such data are needed to characterize the temperature dependence of spectral line shapes at low temperatures for remote sensing of outer planets and their moons. Initial analysis of a limited number of spectra in the region of the R(2) manifold of the ν4 fundamental band of 13CH4 indicated that an empirical power law used for the temperature dependence of the N2-broadened line widths would fail to fit the observed data in the entire temperature range from 80 to 296 K; instead, it follows a temperature-dependence similar to that reported by Mondelain et al. [17] and [18]. The initial test was very successful proving that a high precision Fourier transform spectrometer with a completely evacuated optical path can be configured for spectroscopic studies at low temperatures relevant to the planetary atmospheres.  相似文献

We have developed low temperature formation methods of SiO2/Si and SiO2/SiC structures by use of nitric acid, i.e., nitric acid oxidation of Si (or SiC) (NAOS) methods. By use of the azeotropic NAOS method (i.e., immersion in 68 wt% HNO3 aqueous solutions at 120 °C), an ultrathin (i.e., 1.3-1.4 nm) SiO2 layer with a low leakage current density can be formed on Si. The leakage current density can be further decreased by post-metallization anneal (PMA) at 200 °C in hydrogen atmosphere, and consequently the leakage current density at the gate bias voltage of 1 V becomes 1/4-1/20 of that of an ultrathin (i.e., 1.5 nm) thermal oxide layer usually formed at temperatures between 800 and 900 °C. The low leakage current density is attributable to (i) low interface state density, (ii) low SiO2 gap-state density, and (iii) high band discontinuity energy at the SiO2/Si interface arising from the high atomic density of the NAOS SiO2 layer.For the formation of a relatively thick (i.e., ≥10 nm) SiO2 layer, we have developed the two-step NAOS method in which the initial and subsequent oxidation is performed by immersion in ∼40 wt% HNO3 and azeotropic HNO3 aqueous solutions, respectively. In this case, the SiO2 formation rate does not depend on the Si surface orientation. Using the two-step NAOS method, a uniform thickness SiO2 layer can be formed even on the rough surface of poly-crystalline Si thin films. The atomic density of the two-step NAOS SiO2 layer is slightly higher than that for thermal oxide. When PMA at 250 °C in hydrogen is performed on the two-step NAOS SiO2 layer, the current-voltage and capacitance-voltage characteristics become as good as those for thermal oxide formed at 900 °C.A relatively thick (i.e., ≥10 nm) SiO2 layer can also be formed on SiC at 120 °C by use of the two-step NAOS method. With no treatment before the NAOS method, the leakage current density is very high, but by heat treatment at 400 °C in pure hydrogen, the leakage current density is decreased by approximately seven orders of magnitude. The hydrogen treatment greatly smoothens the SiC surface, and the subsequent NAOS method results in the formation of an atomically smooth SiO2/SiC interface and a uniform thickness SiO2.  相似文献

In the present study, the additional slope is used to consider the crack breathing, and is expressed explicitly in the equation of motion as one of the inputs to produce the bending moment at the crack position. Inversely, the additional slope is calculated by integrating on the crack region based on a fracture mechanics concept. The response of a cracked rotor is formulated based on the transfer matrix method. The transient behavior due to the crack breathing is considered by introducing a ‘moving’ Fourier-series expansion concept to the additional slope. The time-varying harmonic components of the additional slope are used to calculate the harmonic responses. The application considered is a general rotor model composed of multiple shafts, disks and cracks, and resilient bearings at both ends. Verification analysis is carried out for a simple rotor model similar to those found in the literature. Using the additional slope, the cracked rotor behavior is explained by the crack depth and rotation speed increase. It is shown that region on the crack front line having the dominant stress intensity factor value moves from the central area to both ends, as the crack depth increases. The result matches well with the crack propagation pattern shown in a bench mark test in the literature. Whirl orbits near the critical and sub-critical speed ranges of the rotor are discussed. It is shown that there exists some speed range near the critical speed, where the temporary whirl direction reversal and phase shift exist. When an unbalance is applied, the peculiar features, such as the whirl direction reversal and phase shift, disappear.  相似文献

The first‐ and second‐order Raman‐active phonons in the orthorhombic Pbnm NdFeO3 single crystals were studied by means of polarized Raman scattering and lattice dynamics computations (LDC). The zone‐center phonons of Ag symmetry were distinguished from the B1g eigenmodes by performing polarized Raman scattering experiments using two parallel polarization configurations, X′(ZZ)X′ and Z(X′X′)Z. With the help of LDC, we were able to assign most of the observed Raman‐active modes, including phonons of B2g and B3g symmetry. The LDC results indicated that among the 16 force constants employed, the one corresponding to the stretching vibration between the central Fe cation and the axial oxygen atom in a FeO6 octahedron unit had the largest value. This suggests that the B‐site Fe cation is more tightly bound to the axial O1 ion than the other two equatorial O2 ions. It was further shown that at higher wavenumbers, the displacement of oxygen atoms contributed dominantly to the zone‐center vibrations. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
