We focus on the possible thermal channel of the well-known Lithosphere–Atmosphere–Ionosphere Coupling (LAIC) mechanism to identify the behavior of thermal anomalies during and prior to strong seismic events. For this, we investigate the variation of Surface Latent Heat Flux (SLHF) as resulting from satellite observables. We demonstrate a spatio-temporal variation in the SLHF before and after a set of strong seismic events occurred in Kathmandu, Nepal, and Kumamoto, Japan, having magnitudes of 7.8, 7.3, and 7.0, respectively. Before the studied earthquake cases, significant enhancements in the SLHF were identified near the epicenters. Additionally, in order to check whether critical dynamics, as the signature of a complex phenomenon such as earthquake preparation, are reflected in the SLHF data, we performed a criticality analysis using the natural time analysis method. Abstract An efficient, atom-economic, one-pot protocol has been developed for the synthesis of highly functionalized dihydropyridines via four-component reactions of aromatic aldehydes, arylamines, malononitrile, and dimethylacetylenedicarboxylate in the presence of sodium hydroxide in ethanol. This domino reaction proceeded smoothly in good to excellent yields and offered several advantages, including short reaction time, simple experimental procedure, and applicability to a broad range of substrates. The normal-superfluid phase-transition temperature of a dilute Bose system whose particles interact via a two-body potential composed of a hard core followed by a weak attractive tail is studied using the three-level approximation. It is found that, for such a system, the three-level approximation does give results, for the transition temperature, approximately equal to the lambda-transition temperature of liquid 4He. The present communication reports the experimental values of NMR spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) and dielectric relaxation time (τ) of piperidine, pyrrole, pyridine, diethylamine, triethylamine and pyrrolidine. The values of activation energy (ΔEA) obtained using dielectric relaxation time, have been correlated with calculated values of ΔEA obtained using Arrhenius equation of NMR relaxation time (T1) for pyridine, diethylamine and pyrrole. The present paper deals with the synthesis and characterization of Schiff base complexes of pyrazinamide an antitubercular drug. Metals selected for complexation are copper, silver, gold, zinc, mercury, iron and cobalt. The complexes have been suitably synthesized and isolated in pure powdered form. Analytical data agrees with the compositions M(L), M′(L)2 and M″(L)2·2H2O, respectively where M = Ag, M′ = Cu, Au, Zn and Hg and M″ = Fe and Co, ligand metal ratios were also confirmed by monovariation method and Job’s method of continuous variation. Molar conductance values suggest the non ionic nature of the complexes. The tentative structure assigned to the complexes on the basis of stoichiometry and analytical data were further supported by spectral studies viz; IR, NMR, magnetic susceptibility and electronic spectra. A preliminary attempt has also been made to compare the potencies of metal complexes with parent drug. The Cu and Ag complexes are giving encouraging results. Particle size studies further suggest that the drug molecule undergoes reduction in size on complexation. 相似文献
