A series of conjugated hyperbranched polymers, hyperbranched copolymers, and linear polymers containing 2‐pyran‐4‐ylidenemalononitrile (acceptor) and triphenylamine/fluorene (donor) units were synthesized and characterized by FTIR, 1H NMR, thermogravimetric analyses, differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography, UV–visible, photoluminescence, and cyclic voltammetry measurements. All the polymers show red‐light emission in the range of 566–656 nm both in solution and in solid state. The quantum efficiency of the polymers was in the range of 56–82%. Among the six polymers synthesized, only polymers containing fluorene units show Tg and polymers based on triphenylamine not exhibit Tg. The band gap of these polymers were found to be reasonably low; hyperbranched copolymer containing fluorene unit shows lowest band gap of 2.18 eV due to the stabilization of LUMO energy level by the electron withdrawing ? CN groups. The thermal and solubility behavior of the polymers were found to be good. All the EL spectra of the devices (indium‐tin oxide/poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene):poly(styrenesulfonate)/polymer/2,9‐dimethyl‐4,7‐diphenyl‐1,10‐phenanthroline/tris(8‐hydroxyquinoline)aluminum)/LiF/Al) show red‐light emission, and the device fabricated with P3 and P4 shows maximum luminance and luminous efficiency of 4104 cd m?2 and 0.55 cd Å?1 and 3696 cd m?2 and 0.47 cd Å?1, respectively, indicates that they had the best carrier balance. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  The formation of undesirable layer of deposits on the heat-transfer surface is defined as fouling. These deposits present a major problem in the operation and maintenance of heat exchangers, particularly in cooling-water systems. It has been generally observed that the deposits in such systems consist mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which has inverse solubility characteristics. An experimental study was carried out to determine the effect of tube surface temperature, Reynolds number, tube diameter and salt concentration on the growth of CaCO3 scale. In this paper, effects of some of these parameters on fouling growth are discussed. The effect of CaCO3 concentration on the scale growth is compared with the ionic diffusion model presented by Hasson. The variation of the fouling thickness along the length of the heat exchanger is also illustrated. Furthermore, dimensionless parameters are introduced to present the fouling resistance data collected during the experimental study. Received on 14 June 2000  相似文献

Abstract

The catalytic activity of three tertiary amines and three organotin compounds in the cure reaction of blocked isocyanate with hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene was investigated. It was found that the steric factor determines the catalytic activity of the compound. The tin compounds showed higher catalytic activities than the amine compounds. The deblocking catalytic activity of the amine and tin compounds was confirmed by the identification of isocyanate functionality using infrared spectroscopy. The synergistic effect of amine and tin mixed catalysts systems in the deblocking reaction was reported for the first time.  相似文献

The crystallisation process and the ultras-soft magnetic properties of amorphous/nanocomposite alloy Fe73.5Si17.5B5Nb3Cu1 fabricated by conventional melt-spinning technique are systematically investigated in terms of thermal analysis and in-situ measurement of magnetisation dynamics. The thermal analysis using differential scanning calorimetry showed that crystallisation from Fe-based amorphous state to α-Fe(Si) started at . Further heating the sample leads to a transformation from the α-Fe(Si) to Fe-B phases at . Crystallisation activation energies were determined using two models: Kissinger and John-Mehl-Avrami (JMA), which were consistent to each other with a value of . High resolution transmission electron microscopy investigation revealed an ultrafine structure of α-Fe(Si) nanocrystallite with mean size of 12.5 nm embedded in an amorphous matrix. At a volume fraction of 86% of α-Fe(Si) phase, optimum soft magnetic properties were obtained with very high permeability of 110,000 and a very low coercivity of 0.015 Oe by annealing the amorphous alloy at in 40 min.  相似文献

Smoking impacts health and as a result creates several problems related to age which means smoking has a strong correlation with age. Keeping this problem in view, we consider the global asymptotic properties of age-structured smoking model. First, we formulate the model and present the existence and uniqueness of solution. Then we discuss the equilibrium points and construct the Lyapunov function to examine global stability of the free smoking and positive smoking equilibrium points. Finally, we fixed the age factor and use the non-standard finite difference (NSFD) scheme for numerical solutions and compare our results obtained with RK4 and ODE45 graphically with the help of MATLAB.  相似文献

A simple, fast and accurate colorimetric flow injection (FI) method suitable for the assay of vitamin C in drug formulations was proposed. In the method, vitamin C was injected into a flowing stream of iron(III) and then mixed with 1,10-phenanthroline in 0.05M sulphuric acid media. The mixture was allowed to react in a 45-cm long coil and the resulting solution of tris, 1-10-phenanthroline-iron(II) complex was monitored at 510 nm. The method was adopted by fully investigating the kinetics of the reaction and proposing a suitable mechanism. A throughput of 100 samples per hour was achieved with a relative standard deviation of 0.88% for vitamin C concentration range of 100-400 ppm.  相似文献

An accurate specific flow injection spectrophotometric method for the determination of perphenazine in the range 50-250 ppm is introduced. In the method, 110 μl of the drug is injected through a stream of 0.2% (w/v) potassium dichromate in 0.25 M sulfuric acid flowing on line as a carrier stream. The drug is oxidized on the flow to the red monocation radical, the peak absorbance of which is monitored at 525 nm. A throughput of up to 300 samples per hour is attained. The mechanism of the reaction is suggested and the method is compared with the United States Pharmacopeia method.  相似文献
