The synthesis and characterization of the complexes of Cu(I), Ag(I), Cu(II), and Co(II) ions with 1,2,5-selenadiazolopyridine (psd) is reported. The following complexes have been prepared: [Cu(2)(psd)(3)(CH(3)CN)(2)](2+)2(PF(6)(-)); [(CuCl)(2)(psd)(3)]; [Cu(2)(psd)(6)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(NO(3))(-); [Ag(2)(psd)(2)](2+)2(CF(3)COO)(-); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2); [Cu(psd)(4)(H(2)O)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(CHCl(3)); [Cu(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(3)](2+)2(NO(3))(-)·(H(2)O)·(psd)(2), and [Co(psd)(2)(H(2)O)(4)](2+)2(ClO(4))(-)·(psd)(2). The electronic structure of ligand psd, in particular the bond order of Se-N bonds, has been probed by X-ray diffraction, (77)Se NMR, and computational studies. A detailed analysis of the crystal structures of the ligand and the complexes revealed interesting supramolecular assembly. The assembly was further facilitated by the presence of neutral ligands for some complexes (Cu(II) and Co(II)). The molecular structure of the ligand showed that it was present as a dimer in the solid state where the monomers were linked by strong secondary bonding Se···N interactions. The crystal structures of Cu(I) and Ag(I) complexes revealed the dinuclear nature with characteristic metallophilic interactions [M···M] (M = Cu, Ag), while the Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes were mononuclear. The presence of M···M interactions has been further probed by Atoms in Molecules (AIM) calculations. The paramagnetic Cu(II) and Co(II) complexes have been characterized by UV-vis, ESI spectroscopy, and room temperature magnetic measurements.  相似文献

Purification and characterization of halotolerant, thermostable alkaline l-glutaminase from a Bacillus sp. LKG-01 (MTCC 10401), isolated from Gangotri region of Uttarakhand Himalaya, is being reported in this paper. Enzyme has been purified 49-fold from cell-free extract with 25% recovery (specific activity 584.2 U/mg protein) by (NH4)2SO4 precipitation followed by anion exchange chromatography and gel filtration. Enzyme has a molecular weight of 66 kDa. l-Glutaminase is most active at pH 11.0 and stable in the pH range 8.0–11.0. Temperature optimum is 70 °C and is completely stable after 3 h pre-incubation at 50 °C. Enzyme reflects more enhanced activity with 1–20% (w/v) NaCl, which is further reduced to 80% when NaCl concentration was increased up to 25%. l-Glutaminase is almost active with K+, Zn2+, and Ni2+ ions and K m and V max values of 240 μM and 277.77 ± 1.1 U/mg proteins, respectively. Higher specific activity, purification fold, better halo-tolerance, and thermostability would make this enzyme more attractive for food fermentation with respect to other soil microbe derived l-glutaminase reported so far.  相似文献

The two electron-one photon transitions occuring in slow collisions of fully stripped neon atoms with solid targets have been interpreted in terms of trapping ofL-shell electrons in bare neon atoms from the solid target and subsequent transitions toK-shell. Experimental X-ray spectra and transition probabilities can be interpreted in terms of actual transitions occurring in such cases explicitly by the present theoretical calculations which takes care of correlation and relaxation effects.  相似文献

Three new nanoscopic trigonal prisms, [(tmen)(6) Pd(6) (H(2)L)(3)](NO(3))(12) (1), [(Meen)(6) Pd(6)(H(2) L)(3)](NO(3))(12) (2), and [(2,2'-bipy)(6)Pd(6) (H(2)L)(3)](NO(3))(12) (3), have been synthesized in excellent yields through single-step metal-ligand-coordination-driven self-assembly using 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3-pyridyl)porphyrin (H(2)L) as a donor and cis-blocked Pd(II) 90° acceptors. These complexes were fully characterized by spectroscopic studies and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. All of these barrels quantitatively bind Zn(II) ions in the N(4) pockets of the porphyrin walls at room temperature. Their corresponding zinc-embedded complexes, [(tmen)(6)Pd(6)(ZnL)(3)](NO(3))(12) (1?a), [(Meen)(6) Pd(6)(ZnL)(3)](NO(3))(12) (2?a), and [(2,2'-bipy)(6)Pd(6)(ZnL)(3)](NO(3))(12) (3?a), were synthesized under ambient conditions by the post-synthetic binding of Zn(II) ions into the H(2)N(4) pockets of the porphyrin walls of these complexes. These zinc-embedded complexes were characterized by electronic absorption, fluorescence emission, (1)H?NMR spectroscopy, as well as elemental analysis. Complexes 1-3 exhibited considerable microporosity in their solid state. Complex 1 was an efficient adsorbent for nitrogen gas and EtOH, MeOH, and water vapors.  相似文献

Self-imaging Petri dish platforms with microscopy resolution, which we term 'ePetri', can significantly streamline cell cultures and/or other longitudinal biological studies. In this paper, we demonstrate high-resolution imaging and long-term culture of motile microorganisms in a specialized ePetri platform by taking advantage of the inherent motion. By applying a super-resolution algorithm to a set of low-resolution images of the microorganisms as they move across the sensing area of a complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor chip, we can render an improved-resolution image of the microorganisms. We perform a longitudinal study of Euglena gracilis cultured in an ePetri platform, and image-based analysis on the motion and morphology of the cells. As a miniaturized and automated culture monitoring platform, this ePetri technology can greatly improve studies and experiments with motile microorganisms.  相似文献

Synthesis of selenoxo peptides by the treatment of N(α)-protected peptide esters with a combination of PCl(5) and LiAlHSeH is delineated. The method is simple, high-yielding, and free from racemization. Thus obtained selenoxo peptides are used as units for N-terminal chain extension through N(α)-deprotection/coupling to yield peptide-selenoxo peptide hybrids. Multiple selenation is demonstrated by conversion of two peptide bonds of tripeptides into selenoxo peptide bonds. Amino acid derived arylamides are also converted into aryl selenoamides. C(6)H(5)-CSeNH-Val-OMe 8f is obtained as single crystal, and its structure was determined through X-ray diffraction study.  相似文献

A series of oligovalent carbohydrate assemblies (ranging from mono‐ to pentavalent), derived from three structurally different β‐linked or β‐(1→2)‐linked mannosides, has been chemically synthesized, and the respective compounds have been biologically evaluated in order to investigate their immunostimulatory properties. The Crich methodology for β‐mannosylation was successfully utilized to introduce the β‐linkages, and a click chemistry protocol was utilized to generate the oligovalent derivatives. A convenient protecting group strategy involving the simultaneous use of both p‐methoxybenzyl and benzylidene groups was employed, which allowed a simple and cost‐effective global deprotection step. The immunomodulatory properties of the synthesized multivalent mannosides were evaluated by assessing cytokine production in human white blood cell cultures. The Th2‐type cytokines interleukin‐4 and interleukin‐5 (IL‐4 and IL‐5), the Th1 cytokine interferon‐γ (IFN‐γ), the Treg cytokine IL‐10, and the pro‐inflammatory cytokine tumor necrosis factor (TNF) were included in the screening. A single trivalent acetylated mannobiose derivative was identified as a potent inducer of Treg and Th1 immune response, resulting in strong IL‐10 and moderate IFN‐γ productions dose‐dependently, while inducing no Th2 cytokine response. The immunomodulatory properties of this trivalent mannoside were further studied in vitro in allergen (Bet v)‐stimulated human peripheral blood mononuclear cell cultures of birch pollen allergic subjects. Stimulation with birch pollen induced strong IL‐4 and IL‐5 responses, which could be suppressed by the trivalent acetylated mannobiose derivative. The IL‐10 response was also suppressed, whereas the production of IFN‐γ was strongly enhanced. The results suggest that the identified lead compound has suppressive effects on the Th2‐type allergic inflammatory response and shows potential as a possible lead adjuvant for the specific immunotherapy of allergies.  相似文献
