Dansyl moiety attached to the core of Newkome-type dendrimers shows a bathochromic shift of the fluorescence emission spectrum with increase in dendrimer generation. However the ET(30) plots in different solvents show a decrease in slope with increasing generation. This has been explained in terms of modification of transition energies and progressive shielding of the fluorophore with increasing generation.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear MnII and MnIV complexes of general formulae [MnL2(NCS)2] (1a1d) and [Mn(L)2(NCS)2] (2a2c) have been prepared where L are Schiff bases obtained by the condensation of pyridine-2-aldehyde with para-alkyl-substituted aniline, and L are the corresponding amide ligands. The room temperature magnetic susceptibility data of (1a–1d) indicate that MnII is in a high spin state. The cyclic voltammograms of (1a–1d) exhibit a one-electron quasi-reversible MnIIMnIII oxidation. A linear correlation has been found when E0[MnIII/MnII] is plotted against Hammett p parameters. X-ray crystallographic data of (1b) shows that the central MnII ion adopts a distorted octahedral geometry with six different Mn–N distances. Upon oxidation of MnII complexes (1b–1d) by H2O2, the corresponding MnIV complexes (2a–2c) were obtained, and the Schiff base ligands were oxidized to the corresponding amides. The lowest energy LMCT bands of these MnIV complexes correlate linearly with Hammett p parameters. The redox behavior of the MnIV complexes has been investigated by cyclic voltammetry. E.p.r. spectra of the MnII and MnIV complexes are also reported.  相似文献

Within the framework of the German aerospace research program, the CFD project MEGADESIGN was initiated. The main goal of the project is the development of efficient numerical methods for shape design and optimization. In order to meet the requirements of industrial implementations a co-operative effort has been set up which involves the German aircraft industry, the DLR, several universities and some small enterprises specialized in numerical optimization. This paper outlines the planned activities within MEGADESIGN, the status at the beginning of the project and it presents some early results achieved in the project.  相似文献

A novel experimental procedure for chemical reactions has been devised that involves mixing and then freezing the reagents (organic solvent-free) to a sub-zero temperature such as −30 °C. This frozen mixture is exposed to microwave irradiation for a brief period of time. The use of pre-cooled reagents may give a single product not obtained by traditional microwave irradiation at room temperature. Interestingly, such a product may provide information about mechanisms by identifying the first step of a multiple step reaction.  相似文献

We demonstrate near-100% light absorption and increased x-ray emission from dense plasmas created on solid surfaces with a periodic sub-lambda structure. The efficacy of the structure-induced surface plasmon resonance, responsible for enhanced absorption, is directly tested at the highest intensities to date (3 x 10{15} W cm{-2}) via systematic, correlated measurements of absorption and x-ray emission. An analytical grating model as well as 2D particle-in-cell simulations conclusively explain our observations. Our study offers a definite, quantitative way forward for optimizing and understanding the absorption process.  相似文献

The electronic properties of hydrogenated nanocrystalline silicon (nc-Si:H) were studied using drive-level capacitance profiling (DLCP) to obtain defect density profiles as well as transient photocapacitance (TPC) and transient photocurrent (TPI) spectroscopies to study the spectra of defect related optical transitions. These measurements were performed on a series of n–i–p solar cell devices with intrinsic layer thickness of roughly 1 μm. The nc-Si:H intrinsic layers were deposited using RF or MVHF glow discharge with various hydrogen dilution profiles predominantly on specular stainless steel substrates (SS/n+/i nc-Si:H/p+/ITO), but also on textured back reflectors (SS/Ag/ZnO/n+/i nc-Si:H/p+/ITO) in some cases. Crystallite fractions were estimated using Raman spectroscopy. The electronic properties determined by our measurements could be correlated with variations in structural device parameters and with the degree of hydrogen dilution profiling during growth. We also found, depending on the growth conditions, that the devices exhibited markedly different behaviors after prolonged light exposure (100 h using light at 610 nm and 500 mW/cm2 intensity). We discuss one specific microscopic mechanism that may be responsible for the light-induced changes that we have observed.  相似文献

Five seven- or eight-coordinate manganese complexes of hydrazone ligands have been prepared. Three seven-coordinate neutral Mn(II) complexes: [Mn(dapA2)]n (1), [Mn(dapB2)(H2O)2] (2), [Mn(dapS2)(H2O)2] (3) have been synthesized from the bis-Schiff bases of 2,6-diacetylpyridine: dap(AH)2, dap(BH)2 and dap(SH)2 (AH = anthraniloyl hydrazide, BH = benzoyl hydrazide, SH = salicyloyl hydrazide), respectively. Two eight-coordinate Mn(II) complexes: [Mn(dapS)2] (4) and [Mn(dapB)2].3H2O (5) have been synthesized from the mono-Schiff bases dapBH and dapSH, respectively. The complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses and by IR, UV-Vis., FAB mass, EI mass and EPR spectroscopy. The molecular structures of 1, 3.DMF and 4.DMF have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The mono-Schiff bases are monoanionic and the bis-Schiff bases are dianionic. The octa-coordinated mono-Schiff base complex 4 adopts a dodecahedral geometry, while the hepta-coordinated bis-Schiff base complex 1 forms a one-dimensional linear polymeric chain. A weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction (J=-0.15 cm(-1)) between the Mn(II) ions in is attributed to weak Mn...Mn interaction through the PhNH(2) moiety of the ligand, as indicated by extended-Hückel molecular orbital calculations. A good simulation of the EPR spectrum of a frozen solution (DMSO at 4 K) of compound 1 was obtained with g=2.0, D=0.1 cm(-1), E=0.01 cm(-1). The EPR spectrum of a powdered sample of compound 1 shows a large broadening of the signal, due in part, to the important zero-field splitting of the hepta-coordinated Mn(II) ion.  相似文献

A serious problem in secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) analysis is its "matrix effect" that hinders the quantification of a certain species in a sample and consequently, appropriate corrective measures are taken to calibrate the secondary ion currents into respective concentrations for accurate compositional analysis. Use of "calibration standards" is necessary for this purpose. Detection of molecular MCsn+ ions (M-element to be analyzed, n=1, 2, 3,....) under Cs+ ion bombardment is a possible mean to minimize such matrix effect, enabling one to quantify without the need of calibration standards. Our recent studies on MCsn+ molecular ions aim towards the understanding of their formation mechanisms, which are important to know their effects on SIMS quantification.In-depth quantitative analysis is a major strength of SIMS for which 'depth resolution' is of significant relevance. The optimal choice of the impact parameters during SIMS analyses can play an effective role in obtaining data with ultra-high depth resolution. SIMS is possible at depth resolution in the nm or even sub-nm range, with quantifiable data obtained from the top monolayer onwards into the material. With optimized experimental conditions, like extremely low beam current (down to ~10 nA), and low bombarding energy (below 1 keV), ultra-high depth resolution SIMS has enabled interfacial composition analysis of ultra-thin films, quantum wells, heterostructures, etc. and complex low-dimensional structures with high precision and repeatability.  相似文献

Research on Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs) has been driven by interest in discovering target selective molecules. In view of such significance, the present work explored the pharmacophores of estrogen receptor (ER) subtypes specific binding affinities of diverse compounds belonging to the category of bridged bicyclic-1,1-diarylethylene derivatives. Implementing classical QSAR and CATALYST based space-modeling approaches, it has been explored that attachment of aryl ring systems to unsaturated linkages, availability of phenolic hydroxyl group, global hydrophobicity, and stereochemistry of certain functional groups might be important for governing the subtype specific estrogenic behavior of this group of compounds. Supplementing this deduction, critical interfeature distances between hydrogen bond acceptor, hydrophobic, and ring aromatic features along with steric influence are found to primarily influence the ER-subtypes specific binding of this series of compounds.  相似文献

The reaction of the low-valent metallocene(II) sources Cp(2)Ti(η(2)-Me(3)SiC(2)SiMe(3)) (7) and Cp(2)Zr(py)(η(2)-Me(3)SiC(2)SiMe(3)) (11, Cp = η(5)-cyclopentadienyl, py = pyridine) with carbodiimides RN═C═NR (R = Cy, i-Pr, p-Tol) leads to the formation of five membered hetero-metallacycloallenes Cp(2)M{Me(3)SiC═C═C[N(SiMe(3))(R)]-N(R)} (9M-R) (M = Ti, R = i-Pr; M = Zr, R = Cy, i-Pr, p-Tol). Elimination of the alkyne (as the hitherto known reactivity of titanocene and zirconocene alkyne complexes would suggest) was not observed. The molecular structures of the obtained complexes were confirmed by X-ray studies. Moreover, the structure and bonding of the complexes 9Zr-Cy and 9Zr-p-Tol was investigated by DFT calculations.  相似文献
