This paper presents an algorithm and the supporting theory for solving a class of nonlinear multiple criteria optimization problems using Zionts—Wallenius type of interaction. The Zionts—Wallenius method, as extended in this paper, can be used for solving multiple criteria problems with concave objective and (implicit) value functions and convex feasible regions. Modifications of the method to handle nonconvex feasible regions and general nonlinear objective functions are also discussed.This research was supported, in part, by a Faculty Research Development Award and by a Council of 100 Research Grant from Arizona State University (Roy), and by a grant from Y. Jahnsson Foundation, Finland (Wallenius). The research was performed while the second author was a Visiting Professor at Arizona State University.  相似文献

We have calculated total and differential cross-sections for 1sns (n = 2, 3, 4) electron impact excitation of hydrogen and hydrogenic ions at various energies in Coulomb-projected Born approximation. Distortion due to static interactions, target polarization and exchange effects has been incorporated in the initial channel. From flash photolysis data of benzil and 2,2′-dichlorobenzil, the role of conformeric triplets in the formation of hydrogen adduct radicals has been discussed. The planar relaxed triplet absorbing at 470 nm is less efficient in forming a hydrogen adduct radical as compared to its puckered conformeric partner. Among the hydrogen donors, triethyl amine and isopropanol, the former is more efficient in converting puckered triplets and less efficient in the case of planar conformers. Absorptions of radicals and radical anions of 2,2′-dichlorobenzil appear at 355 nm and 460 nm respectively. These are blue-shifted as compared to those of the parent compound benzil appearing at 370 nm and 540 nm, respectively. This blue-shift has been discussed in terms of steric hindrance due to ortho-substitution.  相似文献

Parallel discrete event simulation (PDES) is concerned with the distributed execution of large-scale system models on multiple processors. It is an enabler in the implementation of the virtual enterprise concept, integrating semi-autonomous models of production cells, factories, or units of a supply chain. The key issue in PDES is to maintain causality relationships between system events, while maximizing parallelism in their execution. Events can be executed conservatively only when it is safe to do so, sacrificing the extent to which potential parallelism of the system can be exploited. Alternatively, they can be processed optimistically without guarantee of correctness, but incurring the overhead of a rollback to an earlier saved state when causality error is detected. The paper proposes a modified optimistic scheme for distributed simulation of constituent models of a supply chain in manufacturing, which exploits the inherent operating characteristics of its domain.  相似文献

The values of the second dissociation constant, K 2, and related thermodynamic quantities of the ampholyte bis[(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]acetic acid (BICINE) have been determined at temperatures from 5 to 55 C. The pH values of six equimolal buffer solutions, and four buffer solutions having ionic strengths (I = 0.16 mol⋅kg−1) similar to those in blood plasma, have been evaluated at 12 temperatures from 5 to 55 C using the Bates–Guggenheim convention. The liquid junction potentials (E j ) between the buffer solutions of BICINE and saturated KCl solution of the calomel electrode at 25 and 37 C have been estimated by measurement with a flowing junction cell. These values of E j have been used to ascertain the operational pH values at 25 and 37 C. The pK 2 values at 25 and 37 C are 8.333 and 8.156, respectively. The thermodynamic quantities associated with the second acid dissociation have been calculated from the values of pK 2 as a function of temperature. The zwitterionic buffer BICINE was shown to be useful as a pH standard in the region close to that of blood serum.  相似文献

We have studied isospin symmetry violation in nuclear reactions by measuring simultaneously the cross-section of the following two reactionsp +d3H π+ andp +d3He π0. The experiment was perfomed at the cooler synchrotron accelerator COSY, Jülich at several beam energies close to the correspondingη production threshold. We also have ongoing programmes onη-nucleus final-state interaction studies viap+6 Li →7 Be +η reactions, high resolution search for dibaryonic resonances and lambda-proton final state interaction studies. Powdered samples of Indian Natural Wolframites, (FexMn1?x) WO4 with x=0.95 to 0.41, obtained from seven different locations of two quartz-wolframite deposits of Degana and Sirohi in Rajasthan, have been investigated by Mössbauer spectroscopy down to 20K and magnetic susceptibility down to 77K. The Mössbauer spectra from 300K to 30K clearly indicate multiple sites which is at variance with the reported work. Below 50K a weak magnetic interaction with Hint~45Koe is observed. The spectra above transition temperature are resolved in three doublets and explained on the basis of reported crystal structure. The values of isomer shift, quadrupole splitting and magnetic hyperfine field have been attributed to high spin ferrous ions with octahedral symmetry. Relatively small value of Q.S. (~1.5 mm/sec. at 300K) indicate a strong contribution of the lattice term to the electric field gradient.  相似文献

Carbon-13 and proton spin-lattice relaxation times were measured at two field strengths on solutions 10% by weight of two polycarbonates in C2D2Cl4 from ?20 to +120°C. The first polycarbonate is an asymmetrically substituted form with one chlorine on one of the two phenylene aromatic rings of the bisphenol unit, whereas the second polycarbonate is symmetrically substituted with two chlorines on each of the two rings. The nuclear spin relaxation data are interpreted in terms of several local motions likely in these polymers. Segmental motion was described by the Hall–Helfand correlation function. Segmental motion in the monosubstituted polycarbonate is somewhat slower than in unsubstituted polycarbonate, whereas segmental motion in the tetrasubstituted polycarbonate is considerably slower. Phenylene ring rotation is observed in unsubstituted polycarbonate and in the monosubstituted polycarbonate above 40°C. Below 40°C in the monosubstituted species, and at all temperatures in the tetrasubstituted species, ring rotation is replaced by ring libration as the predominant motion contributing to spin lattice relaxation. In addition, the rotational motion of the two types of rings in the asymmetric monosubstituted form are very similar although not identical. The substituted ring is slightly less mobile than the rings of unsubstituted polycarbonate. This indicates a strong coupling of ring motion, although the coupling leads to less than synchronous motion. Methyl group rotation is present in both polymers and is little affected by the various structural modifications.  相似文献
