Furan heterocyclic compounds derived from renewable sources are popular versatile candidates for the production of multifunctional macromolecular materials. These compounds are also used as hydrophobilization monomers for reversible polyadducts or as versatile building blocks in Diels-Alder reactions. In the present study, an efficient approach to chemoselective acylation of furfurylamine with a series of non-preactivated monocarboxylic or dicarboxylic long-chain fatty acids and some of their functionalized derivatives has been achieved via catalytic direct amidation in reversed micellar medium. A convenient and environmentally friendly method has been developed for furfurylamides via a dehydrative coupling reaction. For this purpose, a new cationic Brønsted-type sulfonic acid catalyst containing a hexadecyl alkyl chain was synthesized and fully characterized. The present catalytic reaction produced the respective N-furfurylamides materials in good to excellent yields. This study also confirms that the direct amidation of carboxylic acids with selected amine compounds can be successfully catalyzed by Brønsted acids. Its simplicity and high atom economy are the main advantages of this method. 相似文献

In Southeast Asia, traditional medicine has a longestablished history and plays an important role in the health care system. Various traditional medicinal plants have been used to treat diseases since ancient times and much of this traditional knowledge remains preserved today. Oroxylum indicum (beko plant) is one of the medicinal herb plants that is widely distributed throughout Asia. It is a versatile plant and almost every part of the plant is reported to possess a wide range of pharmacological activities. Many of the important bioactivities of this medicinal plant is related to the most abundant bioactive constituent found in this plant—the baicalein. Nonetheless, there is still no systematic review to report and vindicate the biological activities and therapeutic potential of baicalein extracted from O. indicum to treat human diseases. In this review, we aimed to systematically present in vivo and in vitro studies searched from PubMed, ScienceDirect, Scopus and Google Scholar database up to 31 March 2020 based on keywords “Oroxylum indicum” and “baicalein”. After an initial screening of titles and abstracts, followed by a full-text analysis and validation, 20 articles that fulfilled all the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included in this systematic review. The searched data comprehensively reported the biological activities and therapeutic potential of baicalein originating from the O. indicum plant for anti-cancer, antibacterial, anti-hyperglycemia, neurogenesis, cardioprotective, anti-adipogenesis, anti-inflammatory and wound healing effects. Nonetheless, we noticed that there was a scarcity of evidence on the efficacy of this natural active compound in human clinical studies. In conclusion, this systematic review article provides new insight into O. indicum and its active constituent baicalein as a prospective complementary therapy from the perspective of modern and scientific aspect. We indicate the potential of this natural product to be developed into more conscientious and judicious evidencebased medicine in the future. However, we also recommend more clinical research to confirm the efficacy and safety of baicalein as therapeutic medicine for patients. 相似文献

The complexes of chromium(III) ion formed by salicylic acid, SA(H(2)L), and its derivatives (H(2)L): 5-nitrosalicylic acid (5-NSA), 5-sulphosalicylic acid (5-SSA) were investigated by means of potentiometry and spectroscopy, at 25 degrees C and in ionic strength of 0.1 M KNO(3) and 0.1 M KCl, respectively. Over the acidic pH range, the coordination of Cr(III) ion to SA and its derivatives in 1 : 1 mole ratio occurs, CrL(+) type complex is formed. In the excess of ligand, the coordination of the second ligand molecule is somewhat hindered; as a result CrL(HL) type complex occurs. Their existences were verified and their formation constants were determined. At near neutral pH, CrL(OH) and CrL(HL)(OH)(-) type hydroxo complexes formed by hydrolytic equilibria and their formation constants were also defined. The stabilities of Cr(III) complexes of SA and its derivatives decrease in the following order: SA>5-SSA>5-NSA. The formation constants of Cr(III) complexes of SA and its derivatives are in comparable ranges with the corresponding complexes of the 2,x-dihydroxybenzoic acid (2,x-DHBA) of Cr(III) ion. Supramolecular side chain liquid crystalline polymers were prepared from poly(3-carboxypropylmethylsiloxane) (PSI100) and azobenzene derivatives through intermolecular hydrogen bonding (H-bonding) between the carboxylic acid groups in the PSI100 and the imidazole rings in the azobenzene derivatives. The existence of H-bonding has been confirmed using FTIR spectroscopy. The polymeric complexes behave as liquid crystalline (LC) polymers and exhibit stable mesophases. The LC behaviour of these H-bonded polymeric complexes was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarizing optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. The complexes exhibit nematic LC phases identified on the basis of Schlieren optical textures. On increasing spacer length or the concentration of the H-bonded mesogenic unit in the complex, the clearing temperature and the temperature range of the LC phase of the polymeric complex increase. The terminal group plays a critical role in determining the LC properties of the polymeric complexes. A terminal methoxy group is more efficient than a nitro group in increasing the clearing temperature. The electron donor-acceptor interactions between the H-bonded mesogenic units containing methoxy and nitro terminal groups in supramolecular 'copolymeric' complexes lead to an increase in the clearing temperature and a wider temperature range for the LC phase. 相似文献
