The analysis of a coffee concentrate is described: 202 constituents have been identified, 154 of which for the first time. Some of these compounds are new chemicals; their synthesis is described. Most identifications are based upon mass spectrometry combined in many cases with IR. spectrometry and comparison with reference compounds. MS. and IR. data are given in detail. The analysis shows that a large number of minor constituents is present, many of which could not be identified.  相似文献

Having studied free silver clusters by quantum chemical calculations we now present a method to take into account the influence of a silver halide surface on adsorbed silver clusters. The model for the surface will be a silver halide cluster as frozen crystal section. The interactions are discussed in detail; a new bromide pseudopotential may be of special interest. Some chemical transformations in the series of the pyrrolo [3,2-b]azepines and the pyrrolo[3,2-c]azepines are reported: alkylation at the pyrrolo nitrogen and/or the azepino nitrogen, reduction of the lactam group by means of LiAlH4, preparation of lactim ethers and amidines, substitution in position 2 by MANNICH reaction, bromination and condensation with oxalyl chloride or chloral hydrate, and the cyclocondensation with dimethylmalonyl chloride. The structures of the 2-substitution products have been evaluated by NMR.-spectroscopy.  相似文献

Four density functionals — including that recently introduced by Perdew ((1986) Phys Rev B33: 8822)—are tested for first-row atoms, hydrides and dimers. Calculated contributions of the correlation energy to the ionization potentials and electron affinities of atoms and to the dissociation energies of molecules are compared with empirical values which were reevaluated for this purpose. An improvement over Hartree-Fock is found in all cases if the self-interaction or the gradient correction are included in the density functional, although there is a rather large variation in the accuracy of the predictions.  相似文献

The newly adjusted energy-consistent nine-valence-electron pseudopotentials for K to Fr are used to calculate spectroscopic properties for the neutral and positively charged alkali dimers using coupled cluster and density functional theory. For the neutral dimers the static dipole polarizability was calculated. The coupled cluster results are all in excellent agreement with experimental values. The density functionals used can give quite different spectroscopic properties especially for the dipole polarizability, with the Perdew-Wang PW91 functional performing best.  相似文献

Two procedures are discussed for the direct variational optimization of localized molecular orbitals which are expanded in local subsets of the molecular basis set. It is shown that a Newton-Raphson approach is more efficient than an iterative diagonalization scheme. The effect of the basis-set truncation on the quality ofab-initio SCF results is investigated for Be, Li2, HF, H2O, NH3, CH4 and C2H6.  相似文献

Energy-adjusted pseudopotentials for the rare earth elements   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Nonrelativistic and quasirelativistic energy-adjusted pseudopotentials and optimized (7s6p5d)/[5s4p3d]-GTO valence basis sets for use in molecular calculations for fixed f-subconfigurations of the rare earth elements, La through Lu, have been generated. Atomic excitation and ionization energies from numerical HF, as well as SCF pseudopotential calculations using the derived basis sets, differ by less than 0.1 eV from numerical HF all-electron results. Corresponding values obtained from CI(SD), CEPA-1, as well as density functional calculations using the quasirelativistic pseudopotentials, are in reasonable agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

Monte Carlo simulations, experimental titrations and fluorescence correlation spectroscopy experiments were used to investigate the conformational and electrical properties of polyacrylic acids (PAA). On the one hand, titration curves were calculated to get an insight into the role of pH on the degree of ionization and conformation of PAA chains. On the other hand, experimental potentiometric titrations of PAA were also achieved for different PAA molecular weights and compared to the calculated titration curves obtained by Monte Carlo coarse grained simulations. It was found that for a large range at intermediate PAA ionizations, a good correlation is obtained between experimental and simulations data thanks to the prominence of electrostatic interactions in this domain. The effect of ionic concentration and PAA molecular weight on the titration curves was also investigated. In order to get a better understanding of PAA conformational behavior, we also investigated PAA diffusion properties in aqueous solutions as a function of pH and ionic strength by fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS), thanks to its high sensitivity to measure diffusion coefficients of tracer solutes. Good qualitative agreements were observed between experimental diffusivities and polymer properties calculated from MC simulations. It was shown that the high molecular weight PAA chains display more significant changes in diffusivity in agreement with the ionization degrees and conformational changes observed in the simulations.  相似文献

Summary Improved energy-adjusted quasirelativistic pseudopotentials for lanthanoid atoms with fixed valency are presented and tested in molecular calculations for CeO, CeF, EuO, GdO, YbO, and YbF. The pseudopotential calculations treat the lanthanoid 4f shell as part of the core and yield accurate estimates for average bond lengths, vibrational frequencies and dissociation energies of all states belonging to a superconfiguration. Information for each individual state of the considered superconfiguration may be obtained from subsequent ligand field model calculations. The results of this combined pseudo-potential and ligand field approach (PPLFT) are compared to more accurate calculations with ab initio pseudopotentials that include the lanthanoid 4f orbitals explicitly in the valence shell and to available experimental data.  相似文献

Semi-empirical pseudopotentials are used in calculating the ground-state potentials curves for single valence-electron molecular ions. Very accurate results are obtained and a number of predictions given. The ionization energies of the neutral dimers are evaluated. A spectroscopic rule enables us to estimate the A 1Σ+ state of KRb and RbCs.  相似文献
