We present the results of preliminary experiments at laser facilities in which the processes of the undeniable destruction of stony asteroids (chondrites) in space by nuclear explosions on the asteroid surface are simulated based on the principle of physical similarity. We present the results of comparative gasdynamic computations of a model nuclear explosion on the surface of a large asteroid and computations of the impact of a laser pulse on a miniature asteroid simulator confirming the similarity of the key processes in the fullscale and model cases. The technology of fabricating miniature mockups with mechanical properties close to those of stony asteroids is described. For mini-mockups 4–10 mm in size differing by the shape and impact conditions, we have made an experimental estimate of the energy threshold for the undeniable destruction of a mockup and investigated the parameters of its fragmentation at a laser energy up to 500 J. The results obtained confirm the possibility of an experimental determination of the criteria for the destruction of asteroids of various types by a nuclear explosion in laser experiments. We show that the undeniable destruction of a large asteroid is possible at attainable nuclear explosion energies on its surface. 相似文献

We present the results of the laboratory modeling of physical processes occurring in the ionosphere during active experiments
on the ionospheric modificaton by powerful radio emission. The process of nonuniform thermo-diffusion of a magnetoplasma due
to local electron heating is studied under the conditions modeling the ionospheric F layer. It is revealed by direct measurements
that thermo-diffusion and diffusion are accompanied by excitation of macroscopic eddy currents. In this case, electrons and
ions diffuse along and across the magnetic field, respectively, and the eddy current is carried by particles of the background
plasma. As a result, a magnetic-field-aligned density depletion rapidly forms in the plasma. The possibility of trapping and
guided propagation of Langmuir waves in such a plasma inhomogeneity is demonstrated. Conditions are found under which the
wave trapping and the formation of the inhomogeneity occur in a self-consistent regime, i.e., Langmuir waves are trapped in
a small-scale inhomogeneity which, in turn, is formed due to local plasma heating by the field of the trapped waves. Such
nonlinear wave trapping takes place only above a certain threshold, which significantly increases in the vicinity of gyroharmonics.

The GaAs(100)-Ga2Se3 heterostructures have been investigated by transmission and scanning electron microscopy. The sequence of structural transformations at the GaAs(100) surface during treatment in selenium vapor has been determined. Spontaneous low-frequency oscillations have been observed in the circuit of a positively biased electrode when the ambient nonuniform plasma is irradiated by a microwave pulse of short duration, which is approximately equal to the ion-plasma period. The instability with its characteristic frequency below the ion-plasma frequency is driven by an accelerated ion component interacting with the sheath of the electrode. We study the dynamics of a massive pointlike particle coupled to gravity in four space–time dimensions. It has the same degrees of freedom as an ordinary particle: its coordinates with respect to a chosen origin (observer) and the canonically conjugate momenta. The effect of gravity is that such a particle is a black hole: its momentum becomes spacelike at a distances to the origin less than the Schwarzschild radius. This happens because the phase space of the particle has a nontrivial structure: the momentum space has curvature, and this curvature depends on the position in the coordinate space. The momentum space curvature in turn leads to the coordinate operator in quantum theory having a nontrivial spectrum. This spectrum is independent of the particle mass and determines the accessible points of space–time. 相似文献
